cricut workshop Hobbycraft Linwood

Just attended the cricut workshop at Hobbycraft Linwood and found it very useful. Alanna was very helpful and friendly. Very good for beginners like me who don’t know where to start.
It would be good to have more of these events even themed ones such as cardstock or making an iron on project etc

I love their machines

I love their machines. I have a joy xtra and a maker 3 as well as a mug press and autopress. I have had no problems with the machines so far. The software design space may take some getting used to for some, but I don’t have any problems using it. I have rarely had to contact customer service, but when I have they have been very helpful .

Today's demo at Paisley.

The demonstrator was friendly. Went through the basics of applying vinyl to a jar. Moved on to iron-on vinyl as requested by attendees. Moved on to using pens.
Would have preferred that it was hourly slots or something similar.
Would have preferred that there were more tools available. For 10 attendees, there was only 2 pairs of scissors and 2 weeders.

Overview of Cricut session

Sessions should be broken down. As people arrived at different times throughout review. Newbies need a session by themselves and others according to their levels. Timings allocation as area used is small on a personal laptop. Keishea managed group well considering multiple questions from left, right, front and behind her.

I participated in a cricut demonstration at hobby craft yesterday and was impressed with what it could do. I might actually take my cricut joy out of its box and use it.

Booked on the cricut drop in at Hobbycraft in Altrincham, the Cricut ambassador was Rachel who couldn’t have been more helpful… she helped me so much and opened up so many more projects.

Really helpful ambassador

Really helpful ambassador, was very happy to show me how to make a project and then adapt templates to make my own projects, and the pots of joy were fun to make too

No hay servicio tecnico

La compañía no ofrece servicio de reparaciones en España. Si la máquina sufre una avería fuera de garantía no hay manera de repararla pues el servicio simplemente no existe.
Actualizo el comentario tras la respuesta de Cricut: Confirmo que me puse en contacto con Cricut a través de los canales oficiales y que no ofrecen manera alguna de reparar una máquina averiada fuera de garantía.

Came to the open day at hobbycraft

Came to the open day at hobbycraft. It was a drop in session but I arrived later. There were loads of examples of cards and the lady from planet sisters gave us tutorials and demos for vinyl iron on and cards

NU na contact met Cricut klantenservice geen voor uit gang enkel raar uit vluchten.

Vorzoek van cricut meermaals gedaan iedere keer weer andere reden.
Niet leesbaar,serinumer niet goed>serrienrnr niet leesbaar,tiket niet op film,moet tijdens film cricut draaien en dan serrienemmer filmen.
Allemaal gedaan en opgestuurd en nog niet verder of oplosing zit nog in garantietijd.

Ich habe ein Iron On Bundle bestellt, das womöglich bei Cricut schon länger im Lager stand. Die Folien ließen sich teilweise nicht von der Trägerfolie lösen, teilweise ist der Kleber verschwommen und blieb nach dem Bügeln rund um das Motiv sichtbar auf der Unterlage.

Also habe ich ein Ticket gelöst und Fotos geschickt. Ich bekam Antwort mit der Bitte um ein Foto mit der Bearbeitungsnummer. Das habe ich innerhalb kurzer Zeit geschickt. Darauf hin habe ich die Nachricht erhalten, mein Ticket sei geschlossen, ich müsse von vorne beginnen.

Gesagt getan, jetzt bekomme ich dauernd Nachrichten, dass das Foto nicht geöffnet werden kann, obwohl ich es in die Antwortzeile kopiert habe und in den Anhang gesetzt habe. Es wirkt, als würde der Prozess wieder über 72 Stunden hinausgezögert, sodass ich ein neues Ticket lösen kann.

Das mit dem Abo und so nervt auch, aber der Maker dürfte schon ein guter Plotter sein. Ich hoffe, er macht nie Probleme, sodass ich den Service auch nicht mehr brauche.

Absolut furchtbarer Kundenservice

Absolut furchtbares Unternehmen. Monate nach dem Probeabo wird plötzlich ohne jede Vorwarnung der Jahresbeitrag abgebucht. Der Kundenservice schon nur eine Mischung aus Deutsch und Englisch völlig nutzlos erklärt mir das das Abo doch beendet ist. Natürlich ihr Idioten ich hab's ja auch sofort nochmal gekündigt als ich das gesehen hab. Scheinbar kann man also nichts tun. Nie wieder. Das Gerät werde ich danach entsorgen und nie wieder von dieser Firma etwas kaufen!

Don’t but it waste of money

Do not buy from this company I spent over £1000 on products including £300 for the maker 3 and it’s just broken just out of warranty. I contacted them but all they offered was a promo code off a new machine. I accept that they don’t want to replace it but the fact that the whole machine now has to go to landfill instead of being fixed is outrageous and massively wasteful. And don’t even get me started on design space which is designed to not be user friendly at all and just gets more uneusable with every update. I could cry right now at how much money I’ve wasted don’t fall into the trap go for a silhouette.

What a waste of money

What a waste of money. This machine is not fit for purpose. The software is extremely difficult to use, and even if you manage to get something semi functional, the results are very poor.

The returns policy is also shocking. Once this company has your money, they want nothing more to do with you. The negative reviews here are completely accurate. Do not make the same mistake we did. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have no doubt they will respond with the same generic reply they seem to give everyone else. Ignore their rubbish response and don't buy their rubbish product.
