Efficient & friendly to deal with. Phone calls as well as emails which makes life easier when you’re working as you can’t always answer the phone.

Absolute terrible service would advise anyone to go elsewhere if looking for a solicitor do not use. When emailing they are always out of office and feel like con men from the service they provide and will force as much money out of you as possible.

Great help from start to finish, and fought hard to get the positive outcome I needed for justice for my son! Would highly reccemoned to anyone.

I purchased a property through the conveyance lawyer Mr Juber and his Assistant Mrs Aksah. They have done so great and professional job. They were so accessible and approachable by responding my queries in a quick and professional manner.

It was a long drawn out claim with many solicitors involved, but we did have covid for 2 yrs. eventually Patrick Haworth took over and with in 3 weeks it was all boxed off. We dealt with Katie in conveyancing when selling a house. I wasn't looking forward to the process at all but I was pleasantly surprised by Katie's efficiency and timely replies. We are hopefully selling and buying another property soon and we will definitely contact Katie again.

My claim was handled by Ken who was extremely professional and kept me updated at all times. All emails and queries were handled the same day. I would definitely recommend using Ken if you need to make a claim.

Absolutely dreadful service.
I knew buying your first home was stressful but these people almost made me very ill. Unprofessional, absolutely no organisation, complete lack of communication and loss of files. I raised a complaint before completion, things kept ploughing on but they completely stopped contacting me, to the point I had to contact the mortgage lender and estate agents to find out updates. Due to their negligence I was refunded fees + VAT, however took me chasing countless times and for the person who was meant to be looking into the case to start our phone call with 'please can you remind me what this is about?' after countless emails, absolute joke of a law firm.

Find their seniors on LinkedIn, cc them in all comms. Complain, complain, complain. And if you haven't already, DO NOT USE THEM.

I have used this company twice. Their fees are very reasonable. I have always been satisfied.
Would have liked completion a little quicker, but there are always hiccups.

I had an offer accepted on a flat in May 2021 and we did not complete until December 2021. Around 21 weeks in total. No chain either side, no complications of any real note. Crazy, right?

Right.

I cannot stress to you all how unprofessional this company are and were. Originally drawn to them due to recommendations by a few friends, as well as their admittedly enticingly low prices, the process started off quite positively. I had a really nice conversation with their salesman, got the details all agreed and I signed their forms about 12 hours later. Most important to note here, is that those forms detailed a 8-10 week completion time.

Fast forward 10 weeks. My mortgage provider has carried out all their checks and is awaiting one final document, that we have tasked Curtis Law to obtain. My mortgage broker is awaiting confirmation of receipt of this form to finalise their side, and I am waiting for all of the above to come to fruition. But what are Curtis Law doing?

Good question, and one which I do not know the answer to. My 'solicitor' from Curtis Law is AWOL, does not respond to emails, is 'away' whenever I call, and appears to be completely ignoring all of my attemps to communicate.

This is a problem of quite grave consequence, because the form that my mortgage lender needs is a Fire Safety form (think Grenfell etc) and without it they will not complete on the lending of the money.

Fast forward to around week 15. In the previous 5 weeks I have been assigned to a different solicitor, due to raising my concerns with their director (googled their email address, pretty standard stuff) and this relationship starts really positiviely. I have the first phone call of my experience with Curtis Law, and the Solicitor is lovely. I explain my situation and where we're up to. She says she will chase up the form situation and get back to me. Which she does, about 2-3 days later she sends over to me the response that Curtis Law received to their requests for the form.

The response they received (which was received weeks before it was sent to me) basically states that this requested form will not be provided by the management company for the building my new flat is within, and that there are no exceptions.

Panic sets in, I now need to find a different mortgage provider who doesn't require this form. As I am a relatively competent human being, there is no delay with this, and I find the provider within a week, and within 14 days a valuation has been done and we're rdy again at our side. This is around week 17.

Over to you, Curtis Law... What are they doing, you ask? Again, who knows. I, the buyer, have had to make contact numerous times with the seller and seller's solicitor via the estate agent during these weeks (Week 15-18/19) to make them aware of what's going on and to answer questions and critcisms about my solicitors and their lack of ability to communicate with them. I settle the ship.

I'm told at week 19 that the seller is getting nervy, and rightly so (may I just add here that if I didn't have such a understanding seller in this case, they would 100% have pulled out) and I go to contact the solicitor to basically tell them that this is the final act and if we don't do right here, we will lose the purchase. I'm met with an Out of Office. The solicitor who had taken over my case file had apparently left Curtis Law, and nobody had told me. Colour me surprised, right?

Anyway, to my surprise, the original solicitor then takes over. Even though everything is literally set in stone, it still takes over 2 weeks from that point for us to complete and exchange. I received my keys on 16th December.

I cannot stress how horrendous this experience has been. I've been so lucky that I had a place to live during this, as well as having such an understanding seller and seller's solicitor. If I didn't, this would definitely have fallen through and I would potentially be thousands out of pocket from rent.

It's not necesarily the delays on this case that are the issue, although they absolutely are an issue, it's the communication. The lack of communication and regular, human updates from them is baffling. I work in a customer facing role myself where I regularly communicate with people from all walks, and the most important rule in a role like that is to keep people in the loop with regards issues that impact their livlihood and wellbeing. Curtis Law do not do that.

I did make a somewhat formal complaint during this process (mentioned above, re: to the director) and the excuse they used for these failings was that they were busy with the stamp duty volume and traffic. Unacceptable and unaccepted.

What I would say here is that I'm not blaming the solicitors themselves. They are doing a tough job during what is clearly an overeworked situation.

DO NOT listen to the 5 star reviews. They are 100% Paid adverts.
