Tried Cushelle for the first time - fine except for the fact that the rolls were impregnated with chemical based odours i.e. perfume? I do not need this addition therefore will NOT be buying again - sorry - you are adding yet more unecessarypollutants to the water system.

I have long bought Cushelle original as it doesn't block my WC but the quality has got worse and worse. The sheet ends frequently don't match up - at least 1-2 rolls per pack - meaning one has, in effect, single sheets of WC paper. Terrible. Is this really a premium product, it is expensive enough? Reporting this twice now to the manufacturer and asking them to please fix their equipment. Their quick reply requests scanning barcode, photoing the WC sheets and typing the barcode no. Then I get the unhelpful reply that I can get a refund from the retailer (eh!) and they want an unused roll posted to them - they send a plastic sack to put it in and I am supposed to inconvenience myself and trudge 30 mins to the post office and queue. They make an obstacle race for customers. There is no admission of any fault on their part. Why can't they believe customers and reply more helpfully what they are doing to fix their equipment? I am not the only one complaining.

Let me paint you a picture, imagine working away all week using the sand paper toilet roll in the travel lodge and coming home to the gentle kiss of cushelle on your ring as if its whispers "shhhhh everything is going to be ok". All in all cushelle makes for an extremely comfortable wipe. 10 ou of 10 would wipe again. Had to add im on about the normal ones i didnt realise this is for the tubless roll.

This tubeless roll is useless, if you don’t have a round holder. The action of pulling paper from the roll results in tightening of the inner portion of the paper onto the centre of our holder, which is a bar design. After half a roll is used the remainder is so tightly wound onto the core that you have to manually unwrap it. Not at all convenient!!
I’ve had to prise the rest of the roll off, wasting a decent portion. Any ‘environmental benefit’ is lost, due to the resultant waste.
I’m astonished that this flaw wasn’t identified during development!
Won’t be buying again. Back to tubes for me.

These toilet rolls were good but they seem to be alot thinner now very disappointed

V disappointed with this product. A year ago I got in touch with Cushelle Customer Services which kindly sent me a £5 voucher and an SAE for the return of the packaging and a roll. They never followed it up and I do not know the outcome.
Have bought another pack, thinking the former item was a rogue pack. However, again the tissue is thin and easily tears. The quilted 3 ply pack performs better but the 2 ply double roll is poor quality.

I used Cushelle Luxury Quilted Toilet Rolls for decades, as they used to be much better quality than the hugely overpriced yellow puppy brand.
However, possibly since going tubeless, the sheet size and strength has taken a huge nosedive and although I persisted with them for a long time, I refuse to anymore.
I tried a supermarket own brand and thats way better in size and strength as well as being less expensive and it still has a tube.

I was just eating my dinner and turned on the TV to see a woman sitting on the lavatory talking about toilet paper. Pretty disgusting. For that reason I won't be buying this toilet paper.

Just purchased cushelle and was so looking forward to using the softest loo roll I had ever tried and was shocked that it felt so rough. It used to be the softest loo roll but they’ve obviously CG angled the formula to cut costs yet the price remains the same for customers. Feel conned out of money I would have bought store owned brand which feels softer than this. The new formula is like trying to wipe your bum with a sheet of cardboard.

Not happy at all with this company or their product. Complained to them some time ago about the quality and they asked me to send it back to them?? What!! Told them "this has to be a joke". Instead they sent me a voucher. I was rather embarrassed when I went to spend that voucher. It was blocked the cashier said to me? Not a problem but really this company needs to get its act together. Furthermore I totally agree with others regarding the tubeless rolls. Not fit for purpose. Horrible stuff. Why does anyone want to buy this crap!! One last message to Cushelle. Nowhere in the ratings of the Best Toilet Paper for 2025 is Cushelle found. Says it all really.

Noticing a local supermarket had an offer on the standard CUSHELLE QUITLTED rolls I thought I would make use of it.I WISH I HAD NOT.
I have used Cushelle Quilted for a long time and keep plenty in stock but when I got home noticed the 'NEW' Quilted rolls looked smaller than my existing ones.
I did some comparisons
The 'New' sheet size has slightly less width.
The 'New' quilting is VERY POOR.
The thickness of the 3 ply sheets are reduced.
The number of sheets and total roll length is pretty much the same.
BUT HERE'S THE CATCH:
ORIGINAL QUILTED ROLL WEIGHT=123 g
'NEW' QUILTED ROLL WEIGHT =103 g
THAT IS A 16% REDUCTION IN WEIGHT !
MAKE YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS FROM THIS!
I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS INFERIOR PRODUCT.

I almost never leave reviews, but had to after I used Cushelle, as both Tesco and Andrex quilted out of stock. What an awful product! There is no quilting at all, and don't get me started on the lack of tube! Half the roll are so squashed in the middle, a car with only one wheel would turn better!
Now I'm stuck with them for a month!

I've regularly bought quilted paper from Cushelle and it was exceptional.
Now, all their quilted paper is substandard. The tubeless doesn't even have a proper hole. Cushelle wrote a piece in The Grocer which was just using jargon to hide the fact that they're using cheaper products to manufacturer below standard goods.
They've changed the manufacturing process to make the paper thinner, less substance and probably  cheaper to produce. It used to be the best product on the market. Now it's one of the poorest.
Every review website states what a shoddy product Cushelle now is. And they don't care.
I wrote to them and they won't acknowledge that they have a problem or that their product has changed to a substandard paper. They wrote back saying that "there are occasions when below standard product can evade our strict quality control procedure" and "the fault you described will be brought to the attention of our manufacturing dept". What a joke! Haven't they seen a drop in sales or looked at the reviews?
Change it back to what it was please!

I have bought Cushelle toilet rolls for a long time because of the quality. I will no longer be doing this as they a thin, poor quality paper and thoroughly disappointing. False economy for a company that must be losing customers by the score.

These tubeless rolls are absolutely useless. They are too fat for the holder and even when you have used some up they don't spin due to not having a cardboard inner. Poor quality paper too. Definitely won't buy again.

Love there tubeless toilet roll,no need to go in bin to get cardboard for recycling among dirty sanitary towels or razors blades,and bigger rolls.but now can not get any in Salford,been to all supermarkets none.sent email to company that makes them no explanation.

I have been buying cushelle quilted for years. How can they call it quilted?! It's like a cheap branded toilet paper. There's NOTHING quilted about it. It's VERY thin and cheap.
I bought Andrex quilted and that seems better, in fact, supermarkets own quilted is far better quality!
Cushelle!! You need to do better. STOP charging so much for crap ( no pun intended) toilet tissue when all it is, is a very cheap tissue.

Cushelle original: have been buying for years. Not anymore.
Last pack was much thinner, not nearly as soft and like a cheap brand which I can buy at half the price.
What a shame.

The quilted cushelle toilet paper was my favourite (I tried many brands), now they changed the "recipe" and I don't understand how they can call it quilted?? It's so rough, not soft at all! In fact, the unquilted one (we still have one roll left) feels better , even though it's cheaper.

I'm so disappointed even though it's just toilet paper. I thought I'd found a brand I liked.... :/
