My mum passed away of a heart attack and I was searching online for somewhere to cremate her. They were amazing. So helpful. Got back to me so quick and a lot cheaper than anywhere I found online. Would recommend using them. They took a lot of pressure off me. Very grateful

My father passed away suddenly and unexpectedly over Christmas 2025. He didn’t want a traditional type funeral and had left a note suggesting that when the time comes perhaps speak with the ‘main’ provider you see on thr TV adverts. I did and thought I’d get a price comparison before booking anything. Found Direct Cremation and spoke with Genna. Well, not only was the cost difference considerable I felt DC were professional, kind and definitely the people I wanted to entrust my father to. I was kept informed along the long road of the Coroner service all the way through to pulling out the stops and getting my father’s ashes back to me in time for him to ‘attend’ his own wake. Great service, great price and lovely people to deal with. Totally recommend.

I can honestly say, in a time of upset and heartache directcremation are the most thoughtful and easy service to use.
Unfortunately our family has suffered a few deaths the last few years and have had a few issues with other places, so I was skeptical on finding one online, at my father in laws wishes he wanted no fuss the way they handled his death from collection to personal delivery of his ashes really helped us at this difficult time. Whilst no one ever wants to think of death, or using these services more than once, I just want to add that as a family we wouldn’t hesitate to use them if we ever needed to again and would recommend them to others.

Having never had to organize a bereavement before, I was rather anxious about it. Genna, at Direct Cremation, instantly made everything easy to handle and cope with. I received a first class service, excellent communications, above and beyond service, for holding the urn whilst I was on holiday, with a timely delivery. All this at a a very reasonable cost, compared with others. I cannot recommend this company enough. Thank you everyone.

Sadly our mum passed away mid November and she didn’t want a big funeral.

Dad passed away at 6am on a Sunday morning. His wish was a no fuss funeral and probably like many others we called the large TV and leaflet advertiser. It was all about money from the off and we were just another business opportunity. We looked at other "names" and found Directcremation even though they are not high up the Google rankings...they should be ! Excellent caring service and kept us informed all the way. I was touring India when I got the said news my father had passed away unexpectedly. I contacted several direct cremation site but directcremation.co.uk was a step above all the others. Our contact a Genna was amazing and made the process so easy and always relied very promptly. Despite the time difference and other factors. The process was above and beyond my expectations. This company does not appear near the top of the list when you search for Direct Cremations. That's a shame because I am delighted with their service, from the first phone enquiry, to the second call when the operator calmed me down and reassured me when my husband died until the last correspondence by email.

They waited until I had viewed my husband with his family then arranged to come out to collect him. They were patient when documents were delayed and therefore cremation was delayed. They did not hassle me for money up front. They are clear that in many cases DWP will pay for the cremation if you are on low income and/or certain benefits. They were patient when my step daughter wanted the ashes and took her instructions directly.

I was treated with kindness, dignity and respect. There are no hidden charges. DirectCremation must surely be the best in this growing business.

It's devastating when you lose a Parent, When they die at home It's not just devastating, but you then need to know what to do who to inform, how to move the body, how much will it cost, there are many things I had no idea about.

As soon as I called Direct Cremation, Steven put my mind at rest, he walked me through what needs to happen and took care of all the details.
I was told the costs involved and the timeline. 
To say this is an excellent service just doesn't seem enough, because it's more than that, the level of service provided by Direct Cremation is very rare these days.

Came on recommendation and found their service excellent in everyway. Showed compassion and sympathy every step of the way. Communication was excellent whether it be by phone call or email.
