This is not David but Mary his wife.

I purchased this serum a few weeks ago after using la prairie & la mer for over 20 years. It has to be the worst serum I have ever used. In fairness the eye cream was OK. However, after trying the serum 3 times in burnt my face and left blotches so bad I had to buy anti histamines. I have destroyed it. £43 a complete waste of money

Great company

Ordered the retinol serum a while ago but have only just started using it recently. Fantastic product, much cheaper than other suppliers with the same amount of encapsulated retinol and I can see the difference already. Product was sent really quickly and well packaged. Vitamin C Serum - don't buy it if you have sensitive skin

Vitamin C Serum - don't buy it if you have a slightly sensitive skin.
I've tried introducing this serum a few times in my routine, every time I use it gives me an awful allergic, reaction all over my face and neck. Have used many Vitamin C serums along the years, never ever had a reaction as this at all, such an agressive product.

Can’t fault the service.

The product I ordered was not for me, but I have to say I have received great service in the return of the item and a refund. I would not hesitate to give another product a try in the future, if I spot anything that I fancy giving a go.

Great customer service

Having read some of the reviews on here I wanted to mention how wonderful the team at Habitual were with my order.
I recently purchased the hylauronic serum...or so I thought. I noticed on my confirmation email I had incorrectly ordered the retinol serum. Same price for the same size. In a panic I emailed apologising for my error and that I wanted the hylauronic serum and a lovely lady called Blanche emailed a couple of days later to say she had corrected the order for and I received the serum another few days later.
I've yet to review on the serum as I haven't been using it on my skin long enough to give an honest review but lovely customer service when I ordered wrong product.

Active ingredients like Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid have quite a neutral natural smell, however, Vitamin C traditionally doesn't have a great smell.

Beware!!

I bought the vitamin c serum. There was no changes to my skin. The product comes in a dark green bottle so you cannot see the quantity. The serum lasted just over the 90 day return policy they have. It’s a pump bottle and when I opened it the straw part was too long for the bottle, but it was still empty. I have purchased many serums of same quantity which has lasted longer. I can only assume this bottle did not contain its full amount. I challenged the company and they didn’t even address my query. I have used many vitamin c products in my time which have better effects on the skin and less than half price of their product. I only bought their product due to Facebook advertisements. A lesson to learn is never trust a company that does not give you the option to give a review on their Facebook page,You should check this out first. A good reason they dont have this option is to prevent any negative reviews, as once posted they cannot be removed. However, I have noticed today due to the negative a low rating reviews on trustpilot, they have requested their followers to make a review on trustpilot in return they will send you a free gift. I asked if that includes negative on the post. I dare say that will be removed, Thankfully I took screenshots. #update# yes I was correct comments and the post pleading for reviews have been removed.

#IN RESPONSE TO HABITUAL SKIN# What a poor excuse regarding sunlight and bottles. Most products don’t perform well if they are subject to sun. This has nothing to do with the colour of bottle. I probably received a return bottle from someone else. I did not break any such rules. I asked’ if I give a negative review do I also get a free gift. Hardly a rule breaking subject. But I can see that you don’t allow reviews on Facebook. Website reviews can be removed. Hopefully my review will help others to make their mind up.

Yes this is what they recommendations on vitamin C

Form: L-ascorbic acid
Concentration: 10–20 percent
Ingredient combo: L-ascorbic acid, tocopherol (vitamin E) or glutathione, ferulic acid
Packaging: Dark or tinted glass bottles with airless delivery
Price: Not a factor in quality, but opt for the brand that fits your budget

As you can see packaging in dark or tinted glass bottles, so in other words a tinted bottle as per other brands use. Not dark bottles with dark labels. And as usual you failed to address any other factor.

Missed the part where you use bribery to get customers to review your product. You also missed the part about my question which caused a ban on your Facebook group? Don’t bother responding. Think it’s safe to say you will bump up the reviews with your bribery tactic. Anyone wishing to see the screenshot of this just contact me.

Correction; I have never posted any unkind words. I gave a honest review. you cannot accept customer feedback.

Hi Janette, thank you for your message. The reason why our bottles are in amber bottles is to protect the active ingredients Vitamin C. If you have a google about this its a recommend practice to ensure the products are protected from sunlight. Thank you for your feedback on the size of the product, we do take feedback on board. We are looking at introducing larger sizes, but for context, due to compliance and stability testing this process takes about 6-9 months to make sure there is no issues with formula in new packaging. All our reviews are posted on our website, including all negative ones (you can go ahead and post a negative review on our website too, it will get posted) so our trustpilot receives no attention. We have a private community group of Habitual Skin customers where last night we asked customers to post their same reviews from the website on here. Including yours. This community group has rules when you sign up that it is supportive, kind and constructive messages only - unfortunately due to the nature of your message you broke these rules that you agreed to when signing up. We had to remove you from the private community page. Your messages and the post is still up there. Wish you all the best in finding the right products for your skin.

Your comment about the packaging and product from the articles provided, it is 10% concentration, it has these actives L-ascorbic acid, tocopherol (vitamin E) ferulic acid, and the bottle is tinted dark with the tinted label but let know if I have missed anything.

Your other factor, I replied above, but here it is. We are looking at introducing larger sizes, but for context, due to compliance and stability testing this process takes about 6-9 months to make sure there is no issues with formula in new packaging

Also Facebook reviews, yes we do have those activated on our public facebook page. Our private community page does not have reviews as it a group rather than Facebook page.

The message to our private community of 140 people, we asked to post their review existing from their website to our neglected trust pilot. We do have as part of the review app (Loox) we use on Shopify (our website platform), if you post a review on our website there is no incentive. If you add a photo or video to your review you get a 15% off discount - even if you post a negative review! This is standard practice and we are fully transparent about this.

You were banned because of your unkind words that have been posted on community page and a few other posts we have across socials. The final straw was the community page. You are entitled to your opinion, your comments remain, but the private community group has ruled which you broke. Unfortunately as per the rules when you signed up this can result in a ban.

I placed an order with Habitual skin


I placed an order with Habitual skin one month ago now. Have received one part of the order but still awaiting over £100’s of remaining order to be delivered. Delivery states 1-3 days. Do not believe this! I was told 2 weeks ago that stock was in and they agreed to ship on 8th Oct as I was away. It is now the 13th Oct. I leave the UK in two days time as live overseas and have still not received the order despite repeated emails, some which appear to be ignored. I was sent a free vitamin C serum but would rather receive all the products I ordered. Very disappointing and still trying to resolve!

Hi Mike, Sorry for this experience, our skincare manufacturer introduced a new testing process once the product is filled which caused delays in our restock arriving (by a month!). As a learning for our small business, we are no longer going to do pre-orders until we are 100% confident in our restocking process and manufacturing can be delivered by the estimated delivery, we hated letting our customers down and again apologies for this experience. Our final restock will arrive in November so we can promise we won't have this delay again. We do have some stock in NZ so we will reach out to see if we can compensate for this bad experience and send it to your home address in NZ.

Great results - Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Vitamin C serum

I placed an initial order for 1 bottle of Hyaluronic Acid Serum after reading the reviews and 1 bottle of vitamin C serum. The items arrived within a few days and I noticed a difference in my skin within 2-3 weeks of daily use. I have normal skin and no real concerns other than wanting my skin to feel hydrated and not look so tired and these products have helped with that.
I will be placing another order today but will also try the eye cream

No fuss, good quality product

Came on here to write a review and have been surprised by the negative comments tbh. What a shame for people when my experience has been so positive.

I have sensitive skin and I am in my 50’s so wanted to use retinol as it’s got such good reviews on improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles. I had tried a few high street store retinol products with testers from Boots. All of which either gave me spots or made my eyes water or droop, not sure if that’s other peoples experience or not?

Anyway I read a really useful article on retinol and the top ten products, with habitual in the top 10 stating it was also good for sensitive skin, however they did say if you are lucky to get it as it’s popular. So I was pleased to go onto the website and find it in stock. The price is a lot cheaper than the high street ones boots recommended and I sent my order request.

The product came quickly. There were no instructions on the packaging so I emailed their customer care team and was given a full email with tips and instructions. I felt this was a real personal service.

I have been using the product now for just over a month and have had no adverse side effects at all. The product is easy to use and makes my skin feel tighter.

With all retinol products it’s can take up to 6-12 months to show significant changes so I wouldn’t say I look 21 yet but it’s definitely a product I would continue to use and have recommended to friends already.

Products didn't arrive and customer care team ignore you!

This was my second order of Habitual skin, I thought I would ignore the previous reviews regaring delivery, but now really I wish that I hadn't. Four days after I placed my order and still it has not been processed (despite delivery saying 1-3 days). I move out of my house on Wednesday so I have emailed the customer care team twice and both emails have been ignored. £60 is a lot of money to spend on an eye cream which does not arrive when it is promised to. I urge everyone to steer clear of Habitual skin as they seem to just take your money and run without any response or explanation as to when you can expect your products. Terrible service, extremely disappointed.

I tried their Hyralonic Serum as it had such good reviews. Unfortunately, after a month of using it, I've seen no difference at all.

They say they have a no-quibbles refund within 90 days but it's a bit of a palava and a long wait to get a refund and I have to pay for a tracked return.

Habitual skin such unprofessional people to deal with

Well Habitualskin what can I say ,On the 12th of august I ordered there Night routine £110 for a Birthday gift for my daughter I tracked it and it stated been delivered shock horror it was delivered and signed for by myself but a completely different address I emailed Chelsea the Co-Founder who replied to me on the Saturday the 18th of august after I left a review on trustpilot ,Well after a few emails back and forth and I was told a new order had been sent out but it really hadn’t this was one email I received, Hi Margaret,

Understand the urgency, hopefully the £110.00 refund can be compensation for our mistake and allow you get her something else + the products when we they eventually arrive.

I refunded you instantly for the mistake (the same day yet you say you waited for a refund which incorrect), I never said we would send a replacement order...because we refunded you? We said we would call Royal Mail to investigate and see if we can get the order delivered from the wrong address to you but it would take 10-15 days to hear back from Royal Mail. This was too long and you insist on me sending ï¿¡110 worth of products for free? I'm a small business, I cant afford to do this. I even suggested other brands you could spend your ï¿¡110 refund on because you were so disappointed on our original mistake which was a genuine mistake. I tried my hardest to please you, but I'm sorry I can't send ï¿¡110 of products for free!
