At a heartbreaking time for our family losing my lovely dad, East Durham did everything. We never had to stress about anything they took care of it all. Everyone at the funeral home were so caring. Ellen especially was brilliant.

We would like to thank Ellen, Tom, Tracey, Charlotte and the rest of your team for an amazing service. We as a family entrusted them with the care of our daughter/ sister. They went above and beyond to follow our wishes and extra finishing touches. They are very professional, caring and friendly people who were there every step of the way.
She had a beautiful send off thanks to the team and the Humanist we chose (Chris May) who they helped us get.
Thank you again. We would definitely recommend.

From the start of using East Durham Funeral Service through to the funeral and even then into the after care, our family were given the most respectful and dignified service from their staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and they looked after my Mam exactly how we wanted. You helped us through the most difficult of times.

We cannot praise this company enough for the way they handled everything with our mam’s funeral. It has been the hardest few weeks of our lives, we have never felt pain like it, we lost the most precious woman in our lives, we were so lost, Tom was very patient and understanding with us, explaining the whole process. The team took care of mam when she passed, they were very compassionate, professional and very caring, they took care of everything, Mam was dressed ready for visits within a few days and we weren’t rushed and were allowed as much time with mam as we wanted. The lovely Ellen kept in contact throughout she was very helpful and even helped with links for the music for the service, she kept sending thoughtful messages too, even sending thoughts for us on the day of the service. On the day the team were amazing, so thoughtful and considerate of our feelings, there was no pressure, they were very patient with us and let us have as much time as we needed at the crematorium after the service. It was a beautiful send off and all other aspects of their service was smooth and organised. This was the second time we have requested their services, we used them 4 years ago for our dad and they were amazing with us then too, which is why mam said she wished to use them when it was her turn. Fantastic customer service from start to finish, so much empathy and understanding which is needed at such a difficult time. They have a fantastic team, each member is a valuable asset. They really deserve praise for all they do, nothing is too much trouble for them. We highly recommend there service. East Durham Funeral Service took care of my dad when he passed, they were very professional and caring, everything went smooth
dad was dressed ready for visits within a few days, appointments needed for visits but no issues with that either, very helpful and allowed as much time with your loved one as you wish to be there.
all other aspects of their service was smooth and organised
funeral staff were very patient on the day at the church as we were probably longer than the norm to get into cars for crem as dads friends said their farewells to our mam after the service as there was a lot of people
overall a very good company and a very good service

Amazing customer service from start to finish, they made everything so easy for us at such a difficult time and thought of things we wouldn’t have been able too. Everything was so organised and we had such a beautiful send off. They were truly brilliant with everything. Thank you again and we would definitely recommend them. Absolutely excellent personal service from start to finish. Extremely professional & respectful staff - nothing at all was any trouble and they obliged with whatever we asked - we honestly cannot highly recommend East Durham Funeral Service enough. We liaised with Ellen and Charlotte throughout and Tom attended on the day - all absolutely amazing. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this family business and consequently would never use anyone else.
