Heartless Experience During a Time of Grief

I recently lost my dear, beloved mother. In my time of mourning, I reached out to Express Casket LLC to purchase a casket. The gentleman who answered the phone—who is also the owner—seemed helpful at first. He walked me through the selection process, and once I had chosen the color, trim, and style, I paid in full. I was even sent a picture of the casket I was supposedly purchasing.

However, what arrived on the day of the service was not what I ordered. I immediately called them and spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue. Despite my grief, I had to threaten legal action to get any kind of response. They initially tried to convince me to accept the incorrect casket at a discounted rate, which was insulting given the circumstances.

They blamed a third-party supplier, but that does not excuse what happened. I was already dealing with unbearable grief—this added a layer of unnecessary stress and emotional pain. I was told I would be issued a refund, but then, miraculously, after a family attorney stepped in, they were suddenly able to provide the correct casket I originally ordered and paid for.

This should never happen to anyone, especially not during one of life’s most difficult times. I would strongly advise against using Express Casket LLC. Their lack of compassion and professionalism turned an already heartbreaking time into something even worse. People deserve dignity and respect when laying their loved ones to rest—not to be taken advantage of by heartless and unethical business practices.

Ordered on 7/26 and needed for 7/30 funeral. Because of weekend had to pay $600 for shipping. Instead of shipping on Monday it shipped on Tuesday and I was told it would be delivered by 4 PM and I would receive delivery update. I had to call several times for updates and it was not delivered till 7PM. Not knowing if the coffin would be there for an AM funeral was very stressful. The coffin was as described and in great condition. The reply states they were in contact with the funeral director but that is not true. The reason I started calling them is she hadn't heard from them.

The casket arrived on time in excellent condition. It’s a beautiful royal blue. The funeral director was very impressed by the condition and of the delivery.

The price was right to purchase since the family was on financial hardship. It was easy talk to Scott, a respectful gentlemen and very kind.

Everything went as expected. The purchase, the item itself, the customer service and delivery. I chose the metal Pieta casket. Many were very complementary! It was in perfect condition and arrived when expected.

Scott did a great job at finding the casket we wanted. Unfortunately it was slightly damaged and Scott offered another casket, which was just as nice as the one we ordered. Thank you for your honesty in our purchase and your amazing customer service!

The casket was beautiful and was delivered over night like they said.

We were supposed to get the casket delivered to the funeral home Friday morning it didn't get there till Saturday morning they had two funerals so didn't have time to get James dressed and into it. they're closed on Sundays. his funeral was Monday morning so they had to do it all Monday morning before visitation. I barely got to see him before the funeral started.

Scott was extremely helpful knowledgeable and very kind. Not to meant the communication and following up was great. The casket got there in time. We got a great price and it was beautiful. We very much appreciate all the help ❤️

Spoke to someone named Scott. He walked me through it from start to finish about sizes color they deliver amazing services hands-down.

Scott was very easy to do business with.
Process was simple.
Casket came in as described and on time.
Before buying I asked our local funeral home if they had an equivalent casket at the same price , they did not .
They're equivalent was almost 3 times more.
I would have no reservation about referring them or their products.
