Diese spanische Autovermietung sind Verbrecher . Unglaublich ! Ich wurde um 460 Euro betrogen wegen einer untergejubelten extra Versicherung.
Unfassbar , die abgebrühten Mietarbeiter zocken hier in Seelenruhe die Leute ab und billiger Mietwagen und Herz schauen zu und sorgen für neue Opfer .
Abartig , ich setze keinen Fuß mehr nach Spanien , obwohl mein Bruder dort ein Haus hat . Einfach nur widerlich !Man sollte an die Medien gehen !!! Schade, dass man sich nicht gemeinsam gegen diese Verbrechermafia stark machen kann !!!

Of een verzekering nemen dit kost dan 300 euro met nog 500 borg dit komt bij mij over als oplichting

Hier meine Bewertung zu Firefly mit der Übergabe und der Rückgabe war alles bestens. Wir sind mit einen Shuttlebus zu Herz gefahren wurden und auch wieder zurück zum AirPort. Ich hatte das Auto für 14 Tage(19.01-02.02.26) in Cancun reserviert und auch bezahlt. Am Schalter wurde das auch akzeptiert nur ein zusätzlicher Betrag von 72€ wurde mir noch berechnet wobei ich erklärte das ich über meine Miles & More Senator Karte komplett abgesichert war. Der Service war über Herz in Cancun abgewickelt worden. Diesen zusätzlicher Betrag finde ich eine Abzocke und wir mieten uns überall ein Auto!

As others have said, this is a complete scam. They advertise “at terminal” in Liberia when they’re actually off-site. Forced us to purchase insurance despite having our own. Changed the daily rate that we had reserved. Avoid at all costs!!

Auto gehuurd bij Firefly, auto 5 minuten voor terugkeer netjes volledig afgetankt.
Bij inleveren werd aangegeven dat de auto vol was. Na afrekening werd gewoon een volle tank in rekening gebracht. Later ook nog de tankbon laten zien maar Firefly bleef volhouden dat de tank niet helemaal vol was. Dit zijn oplichters praktijken om extra geld te innen. Niet hier huren!

Dommage il est impossible de mettre 0 étoile ! Ce sont des arnaqueurs, passé votre chemin, les prix alléchants du site ne sont absolument PAS les VRAIS !
Réservation à Valence Espagne, une fois sur place on vous fait comprendre que si vous voulez la voiture il faut payer plus du double ! Quand vous appelez le site de réservation on vous dis juste qu'on vous rembourse l'assurance mais qu'il faut bien payer sur place ! de vrai escrocs ! Fuyez !!

We had a rental car from firefly ( hertz) at Cape Town airport . It was great experience. Every thing went well . Thanks for the professional staff !

As so many other posts we rented a car at Malaga airport and was scammed into paying for super cover when we already had insurance. We disputed the payment when we came home and noticed it had been taken off our credit card and was called up by the agent at Malaga airport to argue the case! Total infringement of privacy! We asked him what extra insurance super cover would give us and he could not answer. We were only charged upon returning the car so what insurance was that? Probably so we wouldn’t argue when returning the car. Luckily we have been recharged the amount on our credit card . So beware, service agents are paid commission on extra insurance so tried everything to dupe you into signing. seems to be a Spanish / Firefly thing as we have never encountered this before. Lessons learned ; pay with credit card, don’t use Thrifty Hertz or Dollar, argue your case , read the small print and ask what you are actually signing.

It's a scam. Never hire a car with them.

We booked the car online though expedia for a reasonable price (40USD) plus a total cover insurance. In the contract they specifically say that our booking included all taxes, fees and all mandatory cover in Mexico. However, when we arrive at the rental office everything changes.

They start adding fees to the contract; IVA, fuel, airport fee, vehicle license fee, transaction fee, etc. And they also tell us that the insurance we paid for doesnt work in Mexico, so we have to pay a new insurance, and a deposit.

From initially having to pay 40USD for the car, we ended up paying 400USD and a deposit of 300 USD. Plus, we paid for the first 100USD which we didn't even use.

Normally I would have left and not rent the car, but in that moment we had no other choice and they take advantage of it.

Angeblich funktionierte meine Visa Karte nicht, die ich auf der Reise täglich benutzt hatte und nie Probleme aufgetreten waren.
Wir sollten dann den Mietwagen umbuchen auf den Namen meiner Frau und mit dessen Visa Karte zahlen. Die Umbuchung hätte an die 250,- Euro gekostet. Hier ging es uns ums Prinzip. Wir haben den Vertrag gekündigt und sind zu einem renommierten Verleiher gegangen.

After eventually finding the Firefly office (no signs in airport) office was closed with a sign directing customers to Hertz.

Hertz staff treated us like second class customers. They took great pleasure in mocking our car hire booking and using fear to charge for additional insurance.

Car hire seems to be a hugh organised scam.

On arrival to Hertz, hiring on behalf of Firefly. I was told "I probably didn't read the small print" and "the terms had changed" I was told I had to pay €3500 deposit, when my original agreement was £1300. I didn't have a credit limit that high on my credit card. The whole ordeal was VERY stressful! I was told to pay €450 for there in-house insurance cover, which I didn't require as I had sourced a 3rd party cover. I was then told to pay €250 which I refused. I had to pay €2000 for a car that was below the standard I wanted. V poor.

When in Valencia, Spain, if you are looking for a car rental company that

- tries to upsell
- falsifies your contract, while selling you unwanted additional insurances, but obliges you to sign nevertheless, in order to get your car key
- delivers a car to you that lacks 1/8 fuel in the tank
- confirms to you, at the return of the car, more than 4 hours in advance, that everything is OK, knowing that the car is returned with a full 8/8 tank
- refuses to sign the receipt of the car return
- charges you afterwards, at a fake invoice, for unwanted insurances, for missing fuel - that in reality was missing at the beginning of the rental, not at the return- for imaginative administration work
- simply ignores your repeated pieces of evidence that the only wrongdoing took place at the Firefly side
- keeps bugging you for more than 10 months, while menacing you with law enforcement
- doesn't compensate you for the damage done to you:

if all of this pleases you, then there is only one possible choice for a car rental in Valencia, Spain:

go for Firefly Car Rentals, knowing what experience you will do.

Based on my experience, I don’t recommend doing business with Firefly (the Hertz operator in Iceland).

I had a prepaid reservation with Firefly. I canceled the reservation two weeks before the start of the scheduled car rental, making me eligible for a full refund. It’s now been 5 weeks since I cancelled the reservation and I have yet to receive a refund.

I am continuing to work with Firefly, Hertz & now my credit card company to resolve this situation. Bummer that I have to continue to spend time working on receiving a refund that I’m unambiguously entitled to.

Firefly needs to become an honest and responsive business operator, which based on my experience Firefly currently is definitely not.

I have not even picked up the car. I have tried to contact them via email several times with zero response so its not off to a good start

Can only say this: “Worst car rental experience ever,” Firefly are forcing full insurance, dismissing credit card validity, and aggressive upselling. They slap on an insurance cost that they keep. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!! You will be so disappointed! Malaga airport

Unser Flug hatte Verspätung- etwas mehr als eine Stunde. Der Schalter in Lissabon hatte bereits geschlossen. Die Hauptgesellschaft Hertz war beauftragt, uns das Auto nur für 140,- Aufpreis zu geben. Den mitgebuchten Zweitfahrer wollten sie auch nicht mehr eintragen. Vorsicht mit den Verträgen. Kleingedrucktes lesen. Für mich ist die Firma nicht vertrauenswürdig.

After booking and reading reviews, I was nervous about this company! My experience was good from start to finish. I paid a great price for a 7 seater which was in good condition (although there was a scratch which wasn’t documented!)
The lady was friendly & helpful. They won’t accept photos of damage so you have to have them inspect it with you and take note! But overall a good experience and no additional unexpected charges (as yet!)

Leide bil fra dem i en uke sommeren 2024 (Malaga flyplass) og kommer ALDRI til å benytte dem igjen.

Velg heller en seriøs aktør, så slipper du et mareritt i etterkant av ferieoppholdet.
