En novembre 2024 nous avons réservé par l'intermédiaire de BOOKING.COM un véhicule à prendre en charge à l'aéroport de Malaga (Espagne).
Lors de la réservation (sur BOOKING) le prix de la location était de 191,21eur, assurance comprise. Nous avons cru en toute bonne foi être libre de tout autre frais de location. Au moment de
la prise en charge du véhicule on nous a brièvement lu un contrat (en anglais) que nous avons signé. Grave erreur de notre part, nous n'avons pas pris la peine de l'analyser. Fin décembre FIREFLY nous débite d'un montant de 440,23 eur !!! Nous avons contacté BOOKING afin de savoir à quoi correspondait cette somme et, quelques jours plus tard, ils nous ont informé qu'il s'agissait des frais de location facturés par FIREFLY. BOOKING nous a alors signalé que nous n'aurions pas dû signer si nous n'étions pas d'accord avec le contrat de FIREFLY. A aucun moment FIREFLY a attiré notre attention sur ces frais supplémentaires qui sont cochés d'office sur le contrat.

I had a terrible experience with Firefly. Upon picking up the car at Alicante Airport, I was pressured into paying for "extra insurance" that was poorly explained. The representative made it seem mandatory, and when I asked for clarification, the details were vague at best.

To make matters worse, after realizing the charges were excessive, I requested a copy of the insurance policy to understand exactly what I had been charged for. The company refused to provide it, despite multiple follow-ups. This lack of transparency and outright refusal to provide documentation is unacceptable.

It's clear that this company thrives on misleading customers and squeezing extra money out of them. I feel cheated and cannot recommend them to anyone. Avoid them at all costs if you value your time, money, and peace of mind.

Via booking.com een auto gehuurd bij Firefly met extra beschermingsverzekering. Bij aankomst gaf de medewerker aan dat alles in orde was en we kregen de autosleutels mee. So far so good. Bij het inleveren van de auto werd deze geïnspecteerd en alles was in orde. We moesten nog wel even tekenen voor het afwikkelen van de inleverprocedure. Een paar dagen na thuiskomst werd er bijna 400 afgeschreven. Na contactname met firefly werd gezegd dat we een supercover verzekering hadden afgesloten ?? Niet afgesproken maar kansloos om je geld terug te krijgen .. ons zien ze nooit meer !!! Echt vermijden , oplichters zijn het !

Do not use this company. Whilst the initial price may look attractive by the time you have paid for damage to the vehicle that you have not caused, you will be out of pocket.

I rented a vehicle from the Malaga office, I was very diligent in taking photographs all around the vehicle.

Upon returning the vehicle to the airport, one firefly’s staff inspected the car, and we went around and around the vehicle, with them pointing out scratches, and me showing them the photograph proving they were already on the vehicle.

Eventually, we were on our hands and knees looking on the underside of the vehicle. They member of staff was quite open and honest, she said we would continue this process all day until such time as we found scratches, which I had no record. She said, I can do this all day, but you have a flight to catch, just to pay for two scratches and you can be on your way.

The experience has completely put me off renting a car ever again

Firefly rekende achteraf de kosten aan voor een grotere wagen die we niet gevraagd hadden en waarvan we zelfs niet wisten dat we een grotere gekregen hadden.
Bij teruggave van de wagen tekenen ze het document af voor akkoord en achteraf krijg je de factuur.
Contact opnemen met hen is praktisch onmogelijk.
Dus huur zeker geen wagen bij hen. Pure oplichterij en diefstal.

Seville 27 dec 17h 40. 1 seule personne pour les contrats et la remise du véhicule. 1heure d'attente et dans l'urgence (rdv) et la fébrilité j'accepte le contat full charges de Firefly qui fait doublon avec celui de Auto Europe que j'ai présenté. L'employé Firefly se garde d'expliquer ce que ce contrat comprend et ignore le voucher Auto europe présenté. Pratique courante semble t il. Moralité 250€ de volés et aucun recours possible. Un conseil évitez Firefly et louez directement chez un loueur sans passer par Auto Europe ou équivalent qui est complice en ne déréférençant pas Firefly de son offre. Une étoile c'est déjà trop pour cette filiale de Hertz!

Leggete molto bene cosa vi fanno firmare al momento del ritiro dell'auto. Non fidatevi: loro non sono trasparenti e non vi spiegano cosa state firmando, poi vi trovate extra costi da pagare. Io ho dovuto pagare una assicurazione aggiuntiva a quella che avevo già pagato al momento della prenotazione. Poi ho dovuto pagare un extra tariffa aeroportuale e l'IVA (entrambi questi costi extra non erano stati evidenziati al momento della prenotazione).

Havde lejet bil igennem Norwegian og købt forsikring. Da bilen skulle afhentes fik vi besked på at den forsikring ikke var gyldig. Så vi måtte købe en ny, havde kun valget at betale eller ikke få udleveret nøgler. 350€ lige ud i luften. Lejer aldrig hos dem igen, det er rent svindel den måde de gør det på.

Der autoverleiher Okay Mobilily ist ein Betrugs Unternehmen. Alle Schäden von dem geliehenen auto wurde bildlich nachgewiesen. Trotzdem wurden mir 400euro von Kaution einbehalten. 16bildern mit Kratzern an das Unternehmen geschickt. Keine Reaktion. Das ist Betrug und so finanzieren Sie sich. Leute meidet das Unternehmen. Ich werde und habe rechtliche Schritte vor. Hatte sogar eine Versicherung gemacht aber die arbeitet wahrscheinlich mit der autoverleiher betrügerich zusammen. Andreas Reiche

Firefly presente all'aeroporto di Siviglia, esperienza PESSIMA. Il veicolo prenotato con due mesi di anticipo non era disponibile e ci è stata consegnata una vettura leggermente più piccola. Hanno preteso una caparra di di 424 euro che non è mai stata restituita nonostante il veicolo sia stato riconsegnato in condizioni eccellenti. Sto provando ancora a contattarli ma non rispondono al telefono ne tantomeno alle decine di mail inviate. Sul loro sito è presente un campo per le comunicazioni che dirotta ad una pagina che non esiste. Sono dei TRUFFATORI

Suite a un retard d'avion arrivée a 00h30 le 28/12 au lieu du 27/12 19h45.et malgre mes 3 appels pour avertir de notre retard... à notre arrivée pas de voiture.... résa annulée ...ah si possibilité de re louer des voitures a 2000dollar la semaine au lieu des 276 payé!!!

Be careful they will not pay back the deposit!!!!!!!!! I pay rental and full recover online and in the office in spain they recharge me 474 euro for deposit and when i finish and i put the car back they pay me back only 150 euro so they stealing the rest of the deposit!!!!!!! Be careful

Hertz Firefly Spain (Malaga)

If you don't want to be scammed AVOID this car rental company at all costs.

They covertly add additional insurance products to your car rental agreement when signing out the car at your holiday destination. Then when you query this when your back from holiday they push the signed car rental agreement to you and threaten you with debt collection agencies if you don't pay.

No explanation, documentation or indication is provided about their so called 'Supercover'. In my case, I already had a 3rd party independent excess insurance in place but despite this, the insurance product was added to my car rental agreement without my knowledge.

Of course, I complained, reported to the European Car Rental Reconciliation Service, and to the UK Financial Ombudsman to no avail.

I've now reported them to BBC Watchdog, as although too late for me, I don't want other UK (or any other) tourists to fall for their mis-selling and mis-representation practices, if they do decide to investigate.

You have been WARNED, there are many other reputable car rental companies you can hire from, even if they are slightly dearer.

Unter zwang werden einem vor Ort Zusatzversicherungen als "Benzinregelung" verkauft. Absolut unseriös. Wir kämpfen schon seit 2 Monaten auch über Anwalt gegen diese unseriöse Firma an.

I do not recommend Firefly (Hertz). I should have read the reviews before renting from this company. My experience was terrible. Hidden charges ended up costing me more than double the initial rental price.

I rent cars frequently throughout the year and already have an annual excess insurance policy. However, I was forced to purchase extra insurance with Firefly because of their highly unfavorable policies. For example, they have a ridiculous full-to-empty fuel policy where you are forced to pay for a full tank of petrol at an inflated price and then charged an additional €50 for a refueling service fee.

On top of that, airport taxes and service fees, which were supposed to be included in the initial price, were charged separately. Of course, you can “opt out” of all these extra charges by purchasing their extra insurance—pure scam tactics!

To make things worse, despite my reservation for a Group C car, I was given a Group B vehicle.

Terrible experience. I would strongly recommend avoiding Firefly at all costs.

Vi lejede bil gennem CarTrawler & Norwegian i juli og leverandøren var Firefly. Efter 5 mdr kom der en ekstra opkrævning på 248 € som en skjult forsikring fra Herzt Dollar Thirfty Group.
Vi kan læse på Trustpilot at de har en kode på deres kvitteringer…koden er pt: SuperCDW.
Dette er en skjult kode for en ekstra forsikring, som vi aldrig har bedt om eller fået oplysning om… før efter 5 mdr.
Det er 20 € ekstra pr dag.

Do not ever book hire with this company - they add extras on to the booking without telling you and when you notice a couplf of days later and try to remove them they ignore you and charge you this. Even though you have been sold insurance already by their partner

Obligation de souscrire à une assurance complète pour récupérer un véhicule sous prétexte que ma carte est une carte de débit et non une carte de crédit.
Affirmation fausse car acceptée récemment en Espagne et dans d 'autres pays européen.
Resultat coût multiplie par 2, une honte.

Diese Autovermietung schmuggelt Ihnen einen Versicherung unter.....obwohl wir ganz klar mitgeteilt haben dass wir keine zusätzliche Versicherung benötigen.

Mietwagen über Check24 gebucht. Am Flughafen wurde eine Unterschrift für Kaution verlangt, tatsächlich wurde damit eine Zusatzversicherung gebucht die im Check24 Vertrag schon enthalten war. Rat: Meidet diesen Anbieter oder in jedem Fall den gesamten Text im Detail durchlesen bevor unterschreiben wird. Es gibt einige feed backs in die gleiche Richtung. Man kann den Eindruck gewinnen das hat System.
