We had a fantastic experience with Larry at First Local Services. He came out to use CCTV to inspect our drain pipe and check exactly where it connected, and whether our builder had installed it correctly.
Larry spent about an hour on the job and was extremely diligent and thorough throughout. He took the time to carefully assess everything and clearly explain what he was doing, which gave us a lot of confidence.
He was also very friendly and approachable, and importantly, there was absolutely no pressure or pushiness about additional services. He just focused on the job at hand, which was really appreciated.
Larry was respectful of both our property and our neighbour’s, even needing to access next door to check their manhole — he handled this courteously and professionally.
Overall, a top-notch service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Larry to anyone needing reliable and honest work done. Thanks Larry.

Larry was highly professional, we felt entirely confident in his knowledge and abilities, he was thorough and explained step by step what he was doing involving us in each decision to make sure we were informed and he made a very stressful situation immediately feel calmer. He appeared expert in his knowledge and skills. He was very nice and pleasant to deal with and we found him very trustworthy. We would not hesitate to use this company again on the basis of today’s service.

The operative,Larry,( Lawrence) was very polite and helpful. Kept me informed of what he was doing and progress during the job.
He tracked down the problem after extensive exploratory work on my premises, to a blockage some distance away which severn trent water were on site and dealing with it. He then liased with their operatives who then re assured me that my problem would soon be resolved. Lawrence excelled with good communication.

I had a blocked drain and a toilet threatening to overflow.Larry came out and got to the problem very quickly! He cleared the drain of a build up of limescale and then attended to a leaking toilet that had been caused by Faulty installation.He worked tirelessly whilst he was here to insure that he left me with the problems sorted! Thank you Larry 😃

This was a tricky situation needing dismantling of foul pipework (luckily pushfit). A complete blockage due to limescale build-up was cleared in good time. Joe H was excellent, efficient and very polite considering the nature of the job (perhaps spare clothes next time!😃 Have no hesitation in recommending Joe and this company.

Larry attended our rental property very promptly on a hot Saturday afternoon to unblock a drain caused by our tenants not managing their waste correctly.

He was super efficient and explained every step of the process. He was very considerate in the way he parked in a crowded street so that he didn't cause issues for neighbours. He was friendly and chatty, and resolved the issues promptly and effectively. He was very methodical and thorough in his approach and we are confident that he resolved the issues.

We will definitely use First Local Services - and especially Larry - should we have any issues in the future.

Nic and Peter were excellent without exception. Despite it getting relatively late on a Friday evening they were professional, friendly and extremely thorough. Nic was fantastic at keeping us in the loop and explained everything they were doing along the way up until the problem was resolved. I would 100% recommend these guys and will be keeping their contact details for any future requirements we may have.

These two lads were fantastic , sorted my problem out even though the problem was two houses up. Would recommend 100%.

Larry was absolutely brilliant, talked me through what he was going to do and what it would cost. He shown me on the camera where the blockage was and processed to clear it away. He did checks once the blockage was gone Larry was a very pleasant and polite young man very though in his work. I would definitely recommend this company. I'm a very happy customer 😀

Larry kept us informed of his arrival time. He was upfront with all the possible charges and completed the work, solving our blockage and giving us good advice for the future. Excellent service.

1st Local charged over £1,200 after diagnosing the gully needed to be repaired. However, sewer smell persisted so they recommeneded I call the water company to have the main drain cleared - free of charge! The smell still persists so will now have to try a different plumber as the issue remains undiagnosed inside. An unsatisfactory service & waste of over £1,000!

Following leaving a negative review about First Local Services for their obvious attempt to extract as much money from their customers dishonestly they responded with an email. My critique of not receiving the CCTV recording following 2 requests was put down to a member of staff on berevement leave. The failure to respond is not the fault of staff on berevement leave but on the company for not diverting customer emails. They use the Checkatrade logo on their website but their account is not active...I have complained to checkatrade and also trading standards. They claimed that CCTV images can be interpretted differently from engineer to engineer. Although I understand these images may be difficult to interpret, I do not see how their engineers can diagnose cracks and a partial collapse and our insurance assessor not fi d any issue with the drains. Do not use this company, they are dishonest charlatans.
