Having an accident just before planning to pack your entire life up and leave the country wasn’t exactly ideal…FMG however were INCREDIBLE! From the reception staff that were always welcoming, supportive and kind to the damage assessment with Dale, who reassured me at every step and helped ensure I was able to collect my car and not miss my flight, to the guys behind the scenes that fixed my car beautifully and even valeted it! You are all my hero’s! THANK YOU!

I am extremely disappointed with the experience I have had with FMG Body Repair in Bournemouth and feel that other customers deserve to know about my experience before trusting them with their vehicle.

My car has been back with them on more than seven occasions due to ongoing issues with the repair and finish. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts, the standard of workmanship has remained completely unacceptable.

I have serious concerns about the quality of both the paintwork repairs and polishing carried out on my vehicle. Following the latest attempt, we have now had some rain and I have been able to see the full extent of the polishing work — and it is genuinely shocking. There are holograms and visible polishing marks across the car, including on areas that were not even damaged and should not have required any work whatsoever.

After giving them multiple opportunities to rectify the problems, I am now at the point where I have completely lost confidence in their ability to carry out the repairs to an acceptable professional standard. A vehicle should not need to be returned seven-plus times for the same issues, nor should customers have to continually inspect and point out defects in supposedly completed work.

I have now instructed my insurance company that I do not want my vehicle returned to FMG Body Repair and have requested that it is sent elsewhere for the work to be properly assessed and rectified.

I am absolutely appalled by the workmanship and the amount of time and frustration this situation has caused. In my opinion, the level of quality control and attention to detail has been nowhere near what I would expect from a professional body repairer.

Please think very carefully before using this company. I would strongly recommend getting your vehicle repaired elsewhere. I genuinely wish I had.

The service they gave from Reception, to picking up my car for repairs. To letting me know my car was ready, and for delivering it back to me. So very happy with the work they did. Was a WOW on repairs, a brilliant job!! Thank you.

Worse even than Ryanair. Failed to buy all the parts for the repair kept blaming the supplier, failed give any date on progress without me contacting them first gave me car ready by dates and failed to meet them all, refusing to give me details about suppliers name, date dates when parts were ordered or any other information. An 8 to 10 day estimate turned into 7 weeks. Tesco Insurance insisted that I ahd to use this repairer but accepted no responsibility for the delays

Very friendly helpful staff when booking in my car.
Collected my car from home letting me know before had on time .
Had a slight issue on returning my car but very helpful lady found someone to deliver it back so I could still collect children from school .

Great service from start to finish. The staff is very professional and friendly. They kept me updated at all times and completed the repair before the date I was told. I appreciated that my car was picked up and dropped off as well as recieving a courtesy car.

FMG Bournemouth oversaw the repairs to my vehicle recently - from the moment I booked it in, to regular updates to keep me informed to when I collected it they were fantastic. The repairs are literally better than it was before - the whole team is a credit to the company - and they didn’t get frustrated with my regular requests for updates 😂 thank you

FMG provided a polite, prompt and professional service. They contacted me to bring in for the assessment, collected my vehicle for repair and delivered my courtesy car which was really helpful. Turned the repair around in a tight time frame to get the car back to me for a long journey I had coming up. The repair is seamless, in addition it came back super clean inside and out, which it wasn’t when I sent it in for repair! Thank you so much to the whole team and Babs for pushing for the quick turn around. Very very grateful!

FMG Bournemouth dealt with my accident repairs as speedily as they could due to the difficulty sourcing parts. They kept me informed all the way through. The 3 members of staff I had contact with from start to finish were extremely polite and helpful

FMG Repair Services in Bournemouth were appointed by Churchill Insurance to repair my vehicle.
The quality of the repair is very poor. Not only is there a paint defect in the external bodywork, there are multiple areas of damage on both nearside door trims where they have been levered off to access the door handles. I have been informed by the General Manager that my vehicle was worked on by an apprentice… The interior of my car was also dirty when returned to me.
Unfortunately my insurer insisted that I take my car back to FMG to have the defects rectified, and I am now in the process of having this done. They have so far been helpful, and I will update this review when the work is complete.

UPDATE 14/02/25 Steve Woodward went to great lengths to rectify the defects, including repairing the external defect and replacing most of the interior plastic trim with new. I was given a loan EV during these repairs and all the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The door trim is still loose but can’t face going back, so increasing my rating from 1 to 3.

FMG Bournemouth provided a first class service with updates and friendly approach. Rental car and repair all very straightforward. Car looks great after its visit to FMG Bournemouth. Well done Laura and Babs. Thank you. Nick

FMG Bournemouth have been absolutely excellent and I am delighted with the service I recently received. All the staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. Communication re the repairs to my vehicle were regular and helpful. The repairs were completed to the highest standard and my car was cleaned thoroughly before it was returned. I cannot recommend FMG Bournemouth highly enough!

Picked the car up quickly. Took awhile to fix but it’s because the parts needed to be created and back ordered. Car looks good as new, then they delivered the car back as soon as mine was ready

I had a serious amount of repair work caused by a hit and run, and my insurer directed me to FMG. What an excellent service, from dropping off my courtesy car to being informed every few days of the repair progress. Work completed to a high standard, within the time frame expected. very good service.

Great customer service from all staff especially Babs who dropped off the courtesy cars. Communication was clear throughout. Highly recommend, 100% satisfied with my repairs. Good as new!
