Great Rail Journeys レビュー

The booking people were very helpful and friendly. I had forgotten a family event and had to alter the date of our holiday and they were very helpful making the changes.

GRJ All inclusive Romantic Road (Bavaria).
Lovely holiday. Travel was fine and the hotel good. Rooms were clean and tidy, food was mostly very good, though a couple of meals were less good. Hotel staff very nice. Trips were well organised- we were very lucky with the weather! Trips were coach travel but this was necessary as Deutsche Bahn are a bit chaotic and two of the places could not have been reached by train. It was the second time we have done this holiday and both times were brilliant. Tour manager was excellent.

All the staff were really helpful & knowledgeable. It would have been 5 stars but the original cabin we provisionally booked had been cancelled by an advisor

On 29 September I booked the Grand Rail Tour of Switzerland on the phone with Adele. She answered my questions very thoroughly and efficiently. She was always very polite and was very clear with her explanations. The booking was seamless.
Soon after putting the phone down I received a discount voucher from Great Rail in the post. I rang and spoke to Simon who applied the discount voucher to my booking without any quibble.
Excellent service all round.

I I phoned up to change a booking by email and the same day got a response. Thank you.

Easy to book online and just as easy to make a change by phone.

Jasmine in the sales office dealt with our enquiry in an efficient manner and processed our booking expertly.

Helpful and efficient

Luke was very competent when dealing with my booking

While all have been pleasant I left 4 messages for a call back and did not get so I used the website. The website is difficult to use ,offered 2025 deals… I did write in and got a swift response which increase from 2 to 3 star, I appreciated the swift response but had we not already committed to travel with another 2 possibly 4 friends we would have not proceeded with your company.

Easy to contact by phone if you are unsure of booking on line. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Very helpful member of the sales team, who answered my queries and processed my reservation.

Very helpful with good explanations of the holiday we were interested in and booked

My wife and I (both retired) used Great Rail Journeys for the first time last year when we took a 'Little trains of Catelonia' holiday in April.

We were so pleased with the holiday in every way. The booking process, the excellent help and guidance available if needed, the camaraderie of the group experience and a marvelous group leader all convinced us that this sort of holiday was in many ways more enjoyable than 'just doing our own thing'.
So we have just booked again to holiday at Lake Garda in May '27 and are very much looking forward to it.

The tour guide was incredible in organising everything for us to make sure we didnt miss anything. Very professional and with a personal charm also which reflected the high quality of the tour (even an accompany the medical shop!).. second to none! Very enjoyable trip to India, learned so much about the culture and heritage from the exceptional guides - an experience never to be forgotten. The quality of hotels were excellent too and the food amazing. We came across a few challenges along the way, which were all part of the experience and the itinerary was tight so you do need to be personally organised to keep up with so many hotel transfers in such a short time. All in all a remarkable tour!

Sanjay was amazing the tour was well organised the coach staff brilliant hotels stunning
We only went on toy train for 90 mins which was more than enough time wouldn’t like to have done 5-6 hours
