Should have just bought jam and picky bits from Tesco
Have over the years purchased many hampers from this company. And this year for Christmas is no exception. Ordered one for my mom, who is spending Christmas on her own, and didn't particularly want to celebrate. So purchased a small hamper as a gift. I paid for named day delivery. So I have spent all day checking with DPD is there is any news on delivery, so I can give her a heads up... They don't have my parcel. Quick (not very quick at all) with the chat box feature.. not very helpful at all either - if it isn't delivered today, it will be tomorrow... what's the point of paying for a specific date? The whole experience has left me wondering whether I should have just bought jars of jam from Tesco and dropped them off.

Paying for named day delivery and then spending the day chasing updates would understandably leave anyone feeling frustrated.
We can see that the hamper was delivered on 24/12, however we sincerely apologise for the worry, uncertainty, and poor communication you experienced beforehand. That time spent checking updates and not getting clear reassurance is not acceptable, and we’re very sorry that it overshadowed what should have been a thoughtful gesture.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration caused on the day. This is not the experience we want for our customers. We hope your mum enjoyed her thoughtful hamper.

Good choice of hampers, great customer service
There’s a good choice of hampers. I wanted a non alcoholic one for my son and his wife.
Easy to purchase and to get sent to their address rather than mine. Also I hadn’t realised I’d had an email with 10% off my first purchase and when I queried this they very kindly refunded me that bit.

5 stars to Hampers.com ...but 0 stars to Evri…
I ordered a hamper as a gift and paid extra for named day delivery. Evri were the courier and failed to deliver for nearly a week later. Upon being updated of the delay (and without being asked by me) Hampers.com arranged for a replacement hamper to be sent via a different courier. I also had the addt postage paid refunded.
Customer service was very responsive and polite. I would order from them again (as long as Evri is not the courier!)

Gift message not included - embarrassing
I sent a hamper with a request to include a gift message. The recipient received the hamper but it did not include the gift message so they did not know who had sent it. This was embarrassing as I had to check with the recipient to see if they had received it with made a mockery of sending a gift,
And to make matters worse Hampers.com asked me to review their service via "Reviews.io" and the optional questions about speed of delivery, overall experience, customer service and how likely I am to recommend Hampers.com did not work!!!

The gift message is included on the gift card, which is placed in a clear plastic pouch at the front of the hamper, next to the delivery label. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be overlooked when the hamper is opened, and we appreciate you highlighting this as it shows us we need to make the placement clearer.

I bought the White Christmas Hamper for…
I bought the White Christmas Hamper for £50, which would have been free delivery but there was a 10% discount which made it £45 + £5.99 delivery. A little pointless really. The Hamper on the picture looked better than in reality. It was pictured with a basket but was delivered in a sack, nice looking sack too but not as advertised. I think in future I'll be cheaper just putting a Hamper together myself.

I wasn’t impressed with how little was in the basket. I would have been cheaper creating my own basket. As it was for £85 , I then had to buy more stuff to add to the basket to make it look presentable. Never again

Awful. Avoid
Awful. They used Evri and at first it was delayed (apparently delivered on 21st, 3 days late) then we were told it was delivered, only it was to a completely different address! Do not use this company unless you want to upset and disappoint your recipients. Simply awful.

Excellent Customer Service
So this was my original review “The buying process was fine but the delivery company just left the package on the doorstep. It wasn’t signed for and ended up getting soaked in the rain and ruined.” Hampers.com reached out extremely quickly once they heard what the delivery company had done and have since changed couriers. I’ve used them again since the mishap and couldn’t be happier. Their new courier gives you plenty of updates on your delivery and will even let you know within the hour when your parcel is being delivered. As I said before Hampers.com offer a great service, easy ordering, particularly when your ordering for family from overseas and I’ll keep using them as I have for many years.
