Poor delivery company
First of all, the furniture are of good quality at a great price. However what really lacks is the delivery and customer care.
I ordered a dining table and bench set, which was set to be delivered 8-10 weeks from ordering, which is fine.
I had been emailing to get an update regarding the actual delivery date, as there wasn’t any updates from the delivery company. I was only notified 2 days in advance of the delivery date, having explained previously to a few customer care advisers that I require plenty of notice to rearrange for work purposes. They claim that it was a problem with the delivery company’s app.
After rearranging work to wait for the delivery, I was then told with less than 12 hours notice that it would have to be rescheduled for another 2 weeks time.
It has been incredibly frustrating and a massive inconvenience. The delivery has let down the entire process and wasted plenty of time. I am currently waiting on a refund for all my items as I cannot waste any more time.

Firstly we have attempted to contact you today without success. We will try again but please feel free to give us a call if your free beforehand.
With regards to delivery, i'm truly sorry we had to cancel your delivery at last minute. This was down to illness in the workshop and unfortunately several orders have been impacted, yours included. We understand this can cause frustration as people need to make arrangements to be home, again we can only apologies. Delaying an order is only done when all options have been explored.
I also acknowledge getting a delivery date at the earliest opportunity also helps customers plan. Looking over emails i believe we gave you 5 days notice, as a business we are trying to get delivery dates out sooner. Still some improvements required.
We have arranged a new delivery date within a few weeks, i believe you've been informed. The new delivery date is still within the time frames shared when you first placed your order and will do all we can to ensure no further delays.
Again we will attempt to contact you further to discuss.

I ordered a new table (made with reclaimed wood) and it is fantastic! The whole experience with this team - from ordering to receiving the product - has been amazing! I have already recommended them to family and friends. The table is lovely and perfect for what we needed!

New dining table
We purchased a new dining table that was due to be ready in 6/8 weeks. The customer service team was really nice and helpful in arranging a delivery time around our holiday. The quality of the table is amazing and we are really happy with our purchase.

I ordered a table and it was exactly as shown on the website: a beautiful reclaimed wooden table. It came within the timeframe, and they delivered and constructed it too. The whole experience was very smooth and the table is fantastic

Excellent service, arrived before the original eta of 6-8 weeks. The wooden table top looks and feels unique and bespoke. Highly recommend.

Great quality products at reasonable prices and great customer service throughout. Very happy with our order of reclaimed wood dining table, bench and scandi chairs. All well crafted, delivered on time and look as advertised. Excellent customer service too when we initially received chairs in wrong colour, with an easy swap arranged quickly for us. Would highly recommend.

Customer service very good
A few issues at delivery with table legs initially forgotten, then delivered but were bent. Customer service very good though - 7 months after purchase the table and one bench were replaced, no quibble after they warped.

A Great Shopping Experience
A great shopping experience from start to finish. Really happy with the rustic table and benches, delivery guys were excellent too as bit of a difficult property to access. Recommend.

Poor/inflexible service on delivery
It's been almost 2 months since we ordered due to the poor/inflexible delivery service. We had to push the delivery back a few times already - recently, they booked our delivery on the day we are not available even we informed them in advance. We asked them to shift one day but instead they are pushing back 10 days.

Thank you for your review. Firstly I’d like to apologies, clearly your experience hasn’t been as good as you or we would have liked.
We do try and be as flexible as possible when it comes to deliveries but sometimes this can be difficult. We schedule deliveries based on when we are delivering in a particular area. Delivery areas change day by day. We aim to delivery to all areas at least once a month, sometimes more if a popular location.
I’m not sure why we attempted delivery your order on a date you informed us you where not available. The team should have arranged this for the next available date we where back in your area. Again I apologise. As we work in areas as mentioned above, the reason we wouldn’t have been able to deliver the next day was probably because the team were delivering to a different part of the country.
I would invite you to get in contact with the customer care team by email care@hemmingandwills.co.uk. Please put to the attend of Gary and I will personally look into this matter for you and will call you to discuss. As a team we are always looking to learn and ways we can improve our service to our customers.

It’s always hard ordering online
It’s always hard ordering online, but especially when it’s going to be such a big piece of furniture. I was nervous when I ordered the reclaimed dining table, but I shouldn’t have been. It is BEAUTIFUL. We are over the moon with the table and chairs and can’t wait to show them off. Although I feel like bubble wrapping it so nobody can make a mark on it! Thank you H&W’s for such wonderful craftsmanship!

Great product and excellent service
We’d been after a new kitchen table for a while and after hunting around, we chose the industrial style one from Hemming & Wills. We love it and they were happy to delay delivery whilst we completed some building work. Great experience.
