I have now used Warren (Crowthorne Hire a Hubby) on more than one occasion. He is efficient, reliable, works to a high standard and has been able to turn his hand to a variety of jobs inside and out, including fitting a cat flap, numerous door security bolts, fitting blinds, curtain poles, painting facias and much more. It is so good to get the 'to do' list done! I am now compiling a list for another visit.

I have used Paul of Hire a Hubby Dursley for multiple projects, large and small. He is exceptionally customer focused, you dont need to micro manage him, excellent workmanship every time. Highly recommended

Hamish has carried out a range of jobs for us, from a full house repaint to smaller odd jobs. He is professional and friendly, clear about what he can do and what he can't, and, if he can't, he takes the trouble to track down someone who can. His quotes are always clear, and fair. We have recommended him to others who we know have also been pleased, and will keep using him.

What can I say? Excellent, professional, extremely efficient, helpful and considerate. I would thoroughly recommend and will no doubt be enlisting services again. I would just like to add that it was Stephen Cue who did the work, and both he and his wife Sarah were brilliant and so helpful.

Used HireaHubby Uppingham, Stephen Cue. Firstly, very pleasant and easy to talk to gentleman. Work appointments organised by Sarah. Can’t praise Stephen’s work enough. He was on time and did an excellent job of installing a cat flap for me. Highly recommend Stephen for any work you need doing. Also, from 6 enquiries about fitting a cat flap, hire a hubby were the only firm, bar one, who replied to my enquiry. Sarah was excellent too.

I am not sure which Hire a Hubby driver tried to ram me off the road, but if he is the one, as I understand Hire a Hubby is a franchise and he seems to be the only Hire a Hubby in Gloucestershire, AVOID him. If his bad driving is anything to go by, then there is a strong likelihood his workmanship would also be similarly bad. In short, he was in an overtaking lane, but not overtaking anyone. I started to drive close to him in the hope that he would move over so that I can overtake him. He started moving over and as I was about to overtake him, I don't want what it was*, but he immediately came back into the overtaking taking lane where I had to swerve into the central reservation and emergency brake. *I just hope it was not the colour of my skin and him still being upset about the loss of the Euro football, as the news did show quite a few people did take to the people of colour for the loss of the Euro football.

I can't comment on their workmanship as their follow up to request a quote appears to be broken as does their request for a response. Won't be using, pursuing or recommending.

We had a major bathroom repair and ceiling fix to the kitchen done by Hire a Hubby in June last year, good work no problem, or so I thought. Then in March this year our tenant reported water coming through the ceiling again. It was obvious the repair had failed. Numerous phone calls (not answered, messages left), unanswered emails followed. I finally rang the head office number in Milton Keynes and spoke to someone who gave me another email address to use. Still no response, then finally an email telling me the matter would be looked at. End of April, still nothing. In the meantime of course I have had to use another workman to attend to the bad work in the bathroom, and will have to pay for the ceiling to be repaired again. I do not recommend this company.

Steve Cue - Uppingham

Steve has completed a home office for me out of a shabby box room, I love it, he put in so much time and care, and he has since returned to do other jobs for me, nothing is too much trouble, he listens to what you need and makes sure he leaves you happy. Now I need to save up to get him in to complete other jobs that need doing! He is conscientious and trustworthy, and very easy to talk to.

A big thank you and name check to Roy Callaway of hire a hubby in Dorchester, this guy stepped up, did the job and in the weather thrown at him today, certainly went above and beyond to complete the work. I cannot recommend Roy highly enough, a true professional and a gent! Thanks Roy from all the shops and businesses in Dorch.

The local guy promptly called me, made a time to come and assess the job, and provided me with a quote which I was happy to accept. He did a good job so I'd happily recommend this company.

Joke , they don't want your business if you live in East Cornwall they arent interested in your job .
Pathetic company . Use someone local instead .

I applied for a job quote online. I received a job reference and a few days later, received a text to say someone will be in touch soon concerning the job. Nobody contacted me after a week I so emailed asking for an update. Haven't heard anything since. A complete waste of time.
