Avoid! they are currently trying to claim up to £3k off me and my flat mates for rent arrears, however it turns out our housing agency has not received any money from Housing Hand at all. i have tried to get in contact with them as
I have now sent 6 emails to which no response, i have called 10 times on different days to get âsorry no one is available right nowâ and then hangs up, not even a hold, to discuss why we owe them money when they havenât fulfilled there agreement.

They refused to refund my £20 on boarding fee despite not processing my application. I talked to a member over the phone that requested I pay the £20 on boarding that very day even though at that point I wasnât even half way done with the application. My application never got processed by Housing Hands as I had to defer my uni place till next year. Itâd be understanding had I submitted the application and I couldnât get a refund however thatâs not the case.
Reply: Trust pilot doesnât allow email address in reviews. However Iâve backdated the date of experience to the last day I communicated with Mena from Housing Hands.
2nd reply: Iâve provided my details as requested to the email address mentioned. I wait to hear back on the refund.
Update: they refused for my £20 refund simply because there was email exchanges between me and another needed from the housing team which still fires not need the £20 fee terms and my application wasnât even fully processed nor had I ever submitted my application. Never using this service again.

Communication from these people leave a lot to be desired. Be prepared to have to chase them down if you need anything. The set up process saw me having to do the same tasks 2/3 times at each stage which I found frustrating.
The fees they charge are steep.
When you do find yourself in a position where you need to actually use the service you paying those steep fees for be prepared to have to find another way like I did.
Turns out, by their policies, they are quite content on letting your predicament spiral out of control before they lift a finger to help you. They just don't see the point that it is not in their clients best interest to insist on an invoice to be sent from the AP who are in no hurry to do so considering they stand to gain a lot by allowing the tenant to default on the 14 day window they have to pay the outstanding rent without penalty
They would be better suited to the named housing hindrance than housing hand.
I feel well and truly shafted by this company. I would not recommend them at all

I have been using housing hand for my student accomodation to stand as my guarantor and they are an excellent service. The service and my agent Carl were very quick to process my application and when I requested to have my payment date moved later in the month to reflect my income they were happy to oblige and did this swiftly! My proposed guarantor pulled out last minute and I was lucky to have found Housing Hand to provide one within the timeframe my landlord put forth. The customer service officer that helped me, Chim, was absolutely fantastic and so helpful in getting me through the whole process smoothly. Also, I quite liked their AI phone assistant who was able to help me with basic questions without having to wait for a customer representative.
