I work every single day, receive a pension, and keep a healthy balance in my account. I have never loaned money from any ING. Yet, when I requested a credit card on the app, it blocked me and told me to go to a branch.
When I called customer service, they told me I can only apply for a credit card because I'm over 70 years old.
Imagine, I feel exactly the same as when I was 18, but you get this answer from a bank that uses your money for no interest to make more money, and won't give you credit on your own financial stability.
Beside the 70+ restriction the European law is clear: a bank cannot issue a lazy, blanket refusal solely because of an age number without evaluating individual financial health (like pension, assets, and credit history).
So where are you, ING??? You probably don't care because your rating is already low, but you deserve this minimum 1-star rating.

I have bank account at ING since I have a student in the first year (October 2013), so there are more than 10 year since I use the bank services and I was never disappointed, I saw how ING Romania's services evolved and I was part of the process, and over all it was a very nice experience, I would rather choose ING Bank România from any other Romanian bank.
Iâve been an ING customer for 15 years, both as a private individual and for my company. During this time, Iâve also had accounts with other banks, and I can honestly say that ING has by far the best internet banking app.
I only visit an ING branch to update my companyâs information because itâs easier than doing it online. For my personal account, I update my details directly through HomeâBank. Overall, Iâve been very satisfied so far.
ING was among the first banks in Romania to implement phone-number-based payments, instant transfers with no fees, and ePOS payments on Android mobile phones. Their call center usually responds fairly quickly â not perfect, but definitely decent.
The fees for personal accounts are reasonable. If you make a minimum number of monthly transactions and incoming payments, the account maintenance fee is zero.
Itâs a modern bank that I would recommend to others, especially since I also have experience with other banks in Romania.
