I find it strange you can't call to speak to a person. But pleased with the outcome.

Lots of help to keep your info in one place, still waiting on test drive results

So far the initial concept for me is a hands down, to be honest I don’t see why underwriters have not taken this approach rather than broad brushing and over inflating quotes drivers over 50 having paid there dues still getting penalised for uncivilised drivers.

Easy to use very clear and concise

Bought breakdown cover last week. Car broke down today recovery came within the hour definitely recommend 👍

The reviews here at both ends of the extreme:

5*: Good drivers who meet the requirements

1*: Salty bad drivers who:

A) Own uninsurable cars that would make Vin Diesel blush (do you really need a 5 litre sports car?). Those drivers are just straight-up statistically more likely to have an accident.

B) Bad drivers in denial.

The funniest one I’ve read so far was a lady who says she was denied because she got points for doing 56 in a 50, then claimed it

‘wasn’t really speeding, but hey ho!’.

Those cameras in temporary work zones are *average* speed checks, which means you were doing 60+ at various points. In a 50.

Had a good chuckle at that one.

Anyway, the reviews should tell you the truth is somewhere in the middle.

So here I am.

I passed the driving test period, and was told I’d achieved a good score.

Unfortunately, my quote only came back 12% cheaper than my current renewal quote. Not worth the hassle to switch, really.

I noticed some details were incorrect, and others were missing, so I changed those. Added an additional driver etc.

The quote skyrocketed.

Rooster customer service were great, and explained that they couldn’t provide a competitive quote as the additional driver hadn’t held the license long enough.

Long story short, they apologised that they couldn’t be competitive at this time, and we went our separate ways.

Summary: disappointed with my quote, which is supposedly based on driving, but was only 12% cheaper. It just felt like my original quote should have been way, way cheaper considering I passed the test.

Great startup idea for a business, I just don’t think it’s quite there yet/what it says on the tin, hence my rating.

It’s clear that it’s not all based on driving and some demographic & past claim data is still required. I don’t think we’ll ever move away from that, but rooting for Rooster.

Now, I’m off to read some more of these reviews left by bad drivers frothing at the mouth.

Discovered Rooster by accident while looking for something else. Currently on my 14 day test drive whereby they assess you as a driver and then give you a quote based on the data they have collected. So far so good and I wait with interest

The fact that you view people according to their experience with driving is a very important thing I'm waiting to see ur quotation and this is a very good thing
