This is the most corrupted company I have ever seen. I have personally witnessed the discuss myself. They will not pay claims even when it’s obvious they’re wrong. Left me with body pains and thousands of dollars in debt to clean up. Smdh😡😡😡😡

No place in app to talk to virtual assistant ect..overpriced for what they quoted,jumped sky high

Total scam. Refused to pay a claim where they are obviously responsible. Cost me thousands.

I was impressed by the initial rate as I have added teenage drivers recently. However, after the first month and completion of my app based 'driving test' that gave me a 95% test score, the rate jacked up (not down) by $600 a year. Bait and switch. Good job, but now pay us more. So sick of companies playing this game. Disgusted and gone. Bye Root.

This is the most CORRUPT company in the United States! Do not ever, ever, EVER buy an insurance policy from this company! They are beyond HORRIBLE to deal with! Totally uncommunicative adjusters, two month long delays in processing a claim, impossible to get ahold of adjusters, support representatives, or supervisors! BEWARE ROOT INSURANCE! Tell all of your friends, tell all of your family, tell all of your business colleagues to NEVER use ROOT INSURNACE!!! From beginning to end of our dealing with this company, it has been nothing short of a complete hellish nightmare!!!! The people who work for this company must be totally rock bottom desperate for any job - otherwise they would never work for such a dishonest company! It would be a better job to flip hamburgers at Burger King or scrub toilets at Holiday Inn than to work for this fraudulent, dishonest, disgusting insurance company !!!!! STAY AWAY from ROOT INSURANCE!!!! I write this review for anyone who is looking for car insurance. SAVE yourself the time, money and aggravation of dealing with ROOT INSURANCE - the insurance company from hell !!!!!!

Stupid! Never like their system and they keeps refusing to void auto pay because I’m preferring to make payments as manual, not auto pay. Auto pay makes me so uncomfortable. Hate Root!!!

I canceled my insurance one day before my payment was due. Got new insurance and the next day they charged me $66 which was the only money my son and I had until the 1st. My son's food money and money to get my autistic son to his speech therapy that he so greatly needs. Me my myself is disabled and can't just go make extra money whenever I need it. This is a fraudulent company preying on disabled people and probably the elderly because they most likely get away it 99% of the time because disabled and elderly people can't afford to fight for them selves

First quote was 79 per month the when I did accept this quote become almost 85, not good at all

Root insurance is the absolute WORST insurance company I’ve ever had to do business with. I’d give them a negative 5 stars if it allowed me to do so. I know their job is to pay out the least possible…but they do FAR more than that. They are the most inconsiderate & disrespectful company I’ve ever had to do business with. They wait til the deadline date to do anything, they do NOT reimburse for anything I had to pay out of pocket even though it was Roots client who TOTALED my car. Just a heads up to anyone who’s involved in a accident and they have Root insurance, be ready for the WORST experience of your life

Root insurance company is the absolute bottom of the barrel! DO NOT PURCHASE car insurance from this HORRIBLE company! They tell you that you have complete coverage, but when you need to have a claim covered, they just deny it without doing any due diligence, they do not act in good faith, and they do not even inspect vehicles! You would have to be a BRAIN DEAD ZOMBIE on acid to buy insurance from this company! I write this review as a warning to stay far, far, away from Root Insurance! You could get better auto insurance in Cambodia!!!!! The adjuster,, never answered our over two dozen phone calls and emails, nor did she answer emails or phone calls from the car repair service advisor - a crackhead would do a better job as an insurance adjuster! When I FINALLY got a supervisor to call me back after our claim was denied for a BS reason, all the birdbrained supervisor did was talk over me and lie and lie and lie regarding the denial of my claim! You could go to a meth clinic or pull bodies out of the gutter and find better and smarter employees than they have at Root Insurance! ROOT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST insurance company in the USA! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I would leave a NEGATIVE 10 star review if I could!

Cancelled without any additional information or explanation. When I sought coverage, I was not clearly informed about the rental coverage restrictions, which ultimately left me responsible for damages to a loaner vehicle. This was extremely disappointing and could have been avoided with better communication. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Absolutely horrible company. My daughter got into a car accident on 29 May and as of 7/15 NOTHING! No communication at all from the adjuster, no check nothing !
Do not bother trying to rent a car. Rental companies do not work well with Root and will add security deposit. It has happened to me twice.
Good luck cancelling or making changes to your policy. Cant do anything online and they do not return phone calls-ever.

The price is awesome. It is over half of what I wa paying before.

An "accident" happened for me in April this year and I talked to the claims adjuster 1 time between then and now and somehow they have closed the claim with the other party and I have heard absolutely nothing about it. The claim adjuster NEVER returns calls there's never a supervisor available to review the claim with either. Save yourself and don't use a online only company like this.
