Terrible service
Terrible service, ordered goods for Christmas and still no sign of them after 6 weeks, after many emails and an unphased attitude from the customer services I requested a refund which I only received after I threatened a chargeback on my credit card! I eventually received a refund after 8 weeks - yes total 2 months no goods and no gifts at Christmas, disappointed considering the premium price tags.

Shop elsewhere. My order was cancelled due to apparent issues with their ecommerce partner eShop World. Over a month and a half later still no refund just excuses that it is all due to eShop World.
Beware of using this company KUIU
I have ordered twice with this company. First parcel arrived all ok BUT second has not arrived. Tracking number is not recognised by UPS or UK postal service. I have tried to ring kuiu but number is incorrect on web site. Emailed x5+ times with the generic reply that is pathetic. Be careful buying from this company as their customer service is non-existent but they seem to be happy charging high prices for items not delivered.

My wife put a Christmas present order in Nov. 25. All items showed in stock and next day shown as shipped. For the next 3 weeks order said it was cancelled, then shipping, then cancelled and in the end they sent her a 30% discount coupon saying the order could not be fulfilled.

Subpar products!!. $100 for a pair of hunt gloves, with zero heat resistance and the support staff was incredibly disrespectful and arrogant. He, in so many words, said I was not logical and negligent.

Kuiu Down Hunting Gear
Iâve also been hunting for over 40 years and used many hunting cloths from Browning, Cabelas, Under Armor and Sitka. I purchased many products from Kuiu to try as most people talk great about the gear even at the SCI World Conference they have a nice booth that is packed with people. Most of us like nice stuff that will last specially at 50 it should be my last purchase for hunting cloths. With the higher price tags I assumed that the gear would have the highest quality but donât be fooled save your money. I bought the down pants in all two cameo options to use during the cold season and I purchased over $5000 on items through Kuius website. They are warm and very light but they tear extremely easy just walking through tall grass with a few briar patches I have a dozen tears from a 1/4 of an inch to an inch. So if you want to stay warm and sit on a sled then youâre good but way pay the money to do that? Iâm now in Illinois on a deer hunt and I know which way the wind is blowing as the down white fluffy insulation is falling out. I emailed Kuiu and they are sending me a patch kit at no charge. They way they tear Iâll need a whole roll of material and more insulation! So just for reference save your money and stay away from the Kuiu down products. I emailed Kuiu back and told them not to bother I donât have time to patch these every time I go hunting.

I was in Alaska last year with some friends. One of them was all about Kuiu. I am an experienced outdoorsman for 60 years. I've owned every brand and best up a lot of it. During our trip his Kuiu backpack ripped. I own Northface packs from 1975, Jansport, Kelty, Mountain Smith, Deuter etc. When I questioned him on it his reply was â It has a life time guarantee!â âIt was expensive!â When I compared it to the Military Day Pack I was using I was amazed on how poorly made his pack was. The stitching, the material and the innovation of the pack were inferior. I pressed him on what he paid and it was about 7 times what I paid for mine. He's a fool for assuming price equals quality.
I did more research when I got home and he fits their marketing demographic perfectly-arrogance of the mind and overzealousness of perceived ability. I'll stick with Deuter and rational purchasing decisions based on my knowledge.
He was also not aware that this brand is made in China. Caveat Emptorr!

LOVE LOVE their products. I see all these bad reviews and makes no sense. I love the lightweight packs and the clothes for layering up. The fit is really nice and how they feel against the skin. My only complaint would be the free shipping takes a week and a half. I suppose I am spoiled with Amazon. Do not listen to the negative reviews you will not be disappointed.

I bought the Mountain Star 2-person tent in 2022. I used it on one backpacking trip (3 nights). I take good care of my gear. While on the trip the outer tent bag developed a rip from the blunt end of the tent poles (which were inside their own bag that they arrived in). I filled out a warrant form when I got home and this is the response I received: "While we don't have a different weight of tent bag, a lot of us actually use a roll top dry bag instead of the stuff sack so that you can get better compression as well as have a bit better durability from the bag for long term use. A Large roll top bag works for the Mountain Star tent with the only caveat being that you will need to keep your pole set separate of the tent (which is something personally recommend to begin with for easier storage of the gear inside of a pack)." I told them that their Lifetime Warranty is very misleading when they told me that it does not cover "wear and tear". I said, "I only used it on one trip." I paid a lot of money for this tent. I expected they would just send a new bag. Really poor customer service! I would never buy anything from them again. My husband is an avid hunter and I would also never let him buy anything from Kuiu.

Beware of their "Lifetime warranty"âŠ
Beware of their "Lifetime warranty" which states "this warranty lasts for the lifetime of the product"! I purchased a guide jacket in 2011 and only wore it casually--never on a hunt. Recently I packed it for a trip and found that the glue on the seams around the arm vent zippers failed on both arms. After contacting customer service to make a claim on the lifetime warranty, I was told, hey, it's 11 years old and "Industry wide, the average lifespan of a softshell jacket is roughly six to seven years as has been compared with Arcteryx, Patagonia, and other top level brands across the industry."
Nowhere on the Kuiu website do they state that the lifetime of their softshell jackets are an industry average 6-7 years. They referred me to a third-party repair service who has quoted me approximately $50/arm plus shipping.
Lesson learned: not only does Kuiu fail to honor their warranty (they've breached the warranty), but their products are crap. I have a Sitka softshell jacket purchased 1 year before and which I have worn on elk, geese, grouse, pheasant hunts and the seams are fine.

The only thing is the pockets are too small for my hand to fit into.
It is a struggle trying to get my hands into the pockets and also out of them. My hands are no bigger than average. Small pockets with zipper, make pockets an inch wider bigger.
If you want something done right you have to design clothes yourself or make alterations.
Poor product and bad service
Bought the super down ultra jacket from Kuiu even though Iâve had mixed success with their products in the past (too small for size, flimsy construction). From the moment I put the jacket on I was surprised at how noisy it was. Two years on it has not softened up. It is MUCH noisier than Patagonia and Rab puffy jackets that I wear around town and for skiing respectively. I have had an elk guide ask me to remove it on the trail because of how loud it is. Eventually I decided to return it. When I called customer service a rep told me âthe jacket was only for sedentary use and that it said so on the website!â Wrong on both counts and frankly insulting that he would say something so ridiculous- KUIU gear is (supposed to be) specifically made for high exertion hunting! At any rate since returning the jacket I have heard nothing from them for 6 weeks other than âwait some moreâ. This company is a joke. Donât buy their clothing- they donât stand behind it!

Returned my two packages a week befores christmas. According to GLS, they arrived 2 days later in France. Since then I haven't heard anything - it's been 6 weeks now!
I've been in touch with customer service, who keeps giving me no respons. Everything is taking forever! Last I heard they would check the tracking details with EShopWorld- that was a week ago. Still haven't heard anything.
