Not recommended

Expensive for what it’s offered. No full ingredients on website when trying to decide on meals to select, some very spicy without spicy rating on The site. would not recommend. 3/6 meals went in the bin and I’m definitely not a fussy eater, but were inedible. Complained by email and did not go anywhere

Loved the Kurami meals I had for myself…

Loved the Kurami meals I had for myself and my partner. Both thoroughly enjoyed and on our third week so far. Convenient and supporting my overall gut health and well-being immensely.

I’ve been on the subscription for about…

I’ve been on the subscription for about a week now and I’m really happy with the meals so far. The food is fresh, balanced and very convenient, which makes it much easier to stay consistent with healthy eating. Delivery has also been smooth and the team has been very helpful. Overall a great experience.

Very nutritious food

Very nutritious food. Helps with having variety of nutrition to support good gut and health. And it is freshly delivered in the morning that I love as well. As I prefer to have it for breakfast and lunches unlike other companies who do evening deliveries and I tend to not eat in the evenings. And it’s very convenient as it comes with all labelling in terms of calories, whether it is for lunch, breakfast or dinner and packed properly so I can straight away take it to work and heat it up. Very convenient with all the labelling I need is simple amazing.

I'm genuinely impressed with this service! The meals are consistently fresh and delicious, simplifying healthy eating. The portion sizes are just right, and there's a wonderful variety to choose from weekly. It's such a time-efficient solution, and every dish is truly enjoyable. This company is a fraud. Took my money but failed to deliver any goods. Avoid at all costs.

AVOID!!!!

If I could give this less than a star I would. This company is a scam! The food is disgusting and it is extortionate for what it is (which it barely resembles food). Soggy salads, unrecognisable foods. Just everything is absolutely disgusting. And their customer service team has been ignoring my emails. AVOID!!!!!! Taking them to the media to expose this company.

Their Instagram is also all just bot comments.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your experience with Kurami did not meet expectations.

We would like to clarify that we did receive your complaint on 2 February 2026, which explained that the order had been placed through your husbands account. As the order was linked to them, our team followed up directly with him regarding the concerns raised.

Following this, the matter was reviewed carefully, including the photographs and feedback provided. Our Client Service team responded promptly, and the case was reviewed at a senior level with both our kitchen and operations teams.

We appreciate that you and Michael were disappointed with several of the meals, including the salads and the Lemon Bliss Bar. We did take those comments seriously. For example, we clarified that the Niçoise salad is prepared with a light dressing as part of the recipe, while other salads should have sauces provided separately. We also reviewed the feedback regarding the Lemon Bliss Bar and the overall presentation of the meals.

Although the requested cancellation for the Friday delivery fell outside our usual cut-off window, we made an exception as a gesture of goodwill. Friday’s delivery was cancelled, a refund of £44 was arranged for that cancelled delivery, and a further 10% refund of £22 was also offered in acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused.

We are disappointed that your experience did not reflect the standard we aim to deliver, and your feedback has been shared internally so that we can continue improving our food quality, presentation and customer experience.

Disappointing

Disappointing - food wasn't great and I got no response when I contacted customer service about a delivery. I ordered for 5 days from 29 Sept. I was a regular customer of Detox Kitchen, and was looking for a replacement (I wasn't impressed with Calo). I agree with other reviewers that the food was often bland and I did not finish a number of the meals. For example, my first lunch was a tuna salad, which was lots of new potatoes, tuna, some veg and no dressing. Detox Kitchen somehow made healthy food taste good, but many of the Kurami meals, while offering lots of plants, did not taste good.
Delivery times are inconvenient - coming between 6.30 and 9.30 in the morning, when you'll often have already left for work - and they require 3 working days notice to change a delivery, so no good if you get called in for a meeting unexpectedly.
I also e-mailed at one stage - 2 days before a delivery - to try and change it and didn't get a response at all, even after 3 days.
I would not use again and the search for a decent meal delivery company is still on ...
NB - I have seen a few responses to similar reviews saying that they are unable to locate the account. I am happy to confirm my details if contacted (and I also completed a survey to similar effect during the 5 days).

We understand from your review that you emailed us two days before a delivery to request a change, but unfortunately we did not receive that email at our end. We appreciate how frustrating this must have been, and we are pleased that this has since been reviewed and escalated internally.

Noticing your review, I can confirm that Nathan, our Client Services Manager, called you on 13th October to discuss your experience directly. On the same day, we followed up by email, shared the following week’s menu, and offered either a complimentary Kurami day or a gift as a gesture of goodwill.

You kindly chose the Tuesday menu, and we arranged this for you. We are sorry if there was any confusion around what was included in the complimentary delivery, and we appreciate you letting us know when it arrived.

Your comments regarding flavour, delivery timings and notice periods have also been shared with the wider team, as promised at the time, and this feedback was more than useful.

Thank you again for giving Kurami a try and we are pleased that this was handled directly at the time.

Loving this!!!

Honestly love this service! The food is always super fresh and tasty and it makes eating healthy so easy. Portions are perfect size and there’s a great mix of options each week. Such a time-saver and everything actually tastes great. Highly recommend!

The food is bland

The food is bland
I love the concept but the execution is very poor. The food is really basic, and just tasteless. Also there are zero instructions on for heating, prepping etc.

Huge disappointment.

Dear, Kurami team -- please just fire your chef and hire a better one. There is clear demand for this product and so much potential here.

Disappointing, not worth the price

- The food tastes bland and some of the meals I couldn't even finish because it was so unenjoyable. Very little sauce or spices. I'm ok with less salt but at least make it up with herbs or something. They don't allow you to request animal protein instead of tofu (I have a tofu intolerance). They said the only thing they can do is remove the tofu entirely. I declined because I need some sort of protein in my meals.
- I requested they change my delivery day and it was confirmed multiple times over customer support. The delivery still arrived on the wrong day.
- They don't send you a tracking link for the deliveries which is strange because most e-commerce businesses do this.
- Support just stopped responding to me entirely

Do not order from this company

Most dissatisfying customer experience of my life. My wife who is recovering from cancer surgery accidently ordered 3 x meal plans all to be delivered on the same day, she only needed one. Upon realising the error I called Kumari to cancel the remaining undelivered orders and requested a refund for the unused portion of my order.

The food that was delivered was bland, tasteless and ended up going into the bin. To make matters worse the food that was delivered was completely different to the menu and what you get it is completely overpriced. It was such a shame to waste so much food.

While trying to request to cancel the remaining part of the order, Kumari were difficult to get a hold of and conveniently ignored messages and emails so that it was "too late" to cancel the majority of the remaining order. Given my wife did make a genuine mistake in triple ordering I was happy to pay for what had been delivered and be issued a refund for the balance. To be clear we paid £516 in total and I was happy to only be refunded half of this amount. Instead I was offered a gift voucher which we clearly do not want as an "exception" to their unfriendly terms and conditions. I'm currently going through the dispute process with my bank and given the circumstances we are in and my wife's condition, Kumari are a completely heartless company. Deep down they don't really care..

My wife is currently undergoing cancer treatment and I believe she signed up to have some meals delivered from your company. The idea was to have some ready meals while she is recovering from some very intense surgery and take the pressure off as we also have a young family.

Yesterday she received 3 x orders on the starting on the same day. She has asked me to take care of the situation as last night she had a complete breakdown about the situation realising she has now spent £516 for 3 x the food which we do not need.

I can see 8065 and 8098 have been ordered to start on 11th August, 7999 does not have a start date when I click into the order details. Clearly she has made a mistake as she is not in the best frame of mind currently. She has now stopped the subscription and does not want any further food delivered for the week.

Can we please discuss the situation and organise a refund that is fair and reasonable?

We are very sorry that this situation caused further stress during what we understand is a very difficult time for you and your wife. You first contacted us on Monday evening, 11th August, outside of business hours, and followed up the next morning. By this stage meals for Monday and Tuesday had already been delivered and Wednesday’s was in preparation, and we responded within just over an hour of your message.

Because ingredients, packaging and deliveries had already been committed, we could not cancel the second parcel without creating waste. Nonetheless, we cancelled two of the three duplicate orders, absorbed the cost ourselves, and placed the full value as open-ended credit for you to use whenever you wish.

We are grateful to have many long-standing subscribers who enjoy our meals each week, and while we regret that this experience did not reflect that, we hope future clients can be reassured by the steps we took here.

No way to track parcels; Missing food item

No way to track parcels. Missing food item (drink). Customer service did not come back when I requested for tracking email. Food is average and so we are cancelling our subscription.

Update from customer added on 1st May- Kurami today updated their reply, more than 8 months later. Now the reply puts all blame on customer. This is such an old issue and after 8 months suddenly the reply has changed and somehow there is new conclusion from the company?!? Very strange.

We understand how frustrating it must have felt, and we are equally sorry to hear about the missing drink and that the meals did not meet your taste.

I can confirm that your plan was a 5-Day Signature Plus Subscription, which included breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. However, since you had not selected a drink at checkout, this was not included.

Although your subscription normally requires a minimum commitment, we cancelled it early as a gesture of goodwill. Our customer experience team has already been in touch, and we look forward to resolving this directly with you.

I haven’t tried the food yet, but they have amazing customer service. A big shout to Nathan who writes back on his days off. He will answer your email any time of the day including Bank Holidays.
