Kyros one-on-one counseling experience made me feel a lot more confident navigating through the college admission process.

Helpful but worth it? Being someone with no experience about college applications, I found some of the information helpful. I later discovered there are many options available online to get this information for free or at a significantly cheaper cost. AI features are very basic and SSMs counseling seemed more like unexperienced people reading a script.

We like Kyros a lot because there are many caring people out there. We have been worked with our Student Success Manager Charles Gao since 8th grade, Charles is a very good resource giving us many valuable suggestions such as course selection, summer planning and useful tips on time management. He led the way during this journey and made things much clear. Kyros also provides a lot of resources helping the student's growth, such as working with Mrs. Karin to earn congressional award. It is important to let them see where you need to be in a few years. So, it is beneficial to sign up early instead of just the senior year.

Great admission advice and college essay editing service.

It has been a great experience working with my SSM, Jen, through Kyros. She gave extremely helpful advice on all parts of my application process, from my college list to my supplemental essays. The sprint programs on Kyros are also a great way to get tips and feedback for essay writing and other aspects of college.

Nathan is a great SSM who gave me great constructive advice on my supplementals, personal essay, and how to work my activity/honors list.

I really appreciate the range of options that Kyros offers. The Student Success Management Team has been consistently helpful and proactive—reaching out with updates about new resources and courses, helping my son schedule 1:1 appointments with a counselor, and walking me through new features on their website. Their support has made it much easier to stay informed and make use of the services when I need them.

Kyros has been incredibly helpful throughout my high school experience. I’ve relied on it since freshman year, and now as a junior, I’m still using its resources regularly. It offers a wide range of tools that genuinely support students, and it’s been a great site for staying organized.

This is a 5-star review with areas that can be improved on. I am leaning towards 5 star because I am happy with what really matters in the admission process. Our SSM Nathan Tovar is highly experienced and insightful. The monthly 1:1 meetings has been super helpful for my senior student. 30 min is enough for us to go through the key points and he reviews stuff for students by emails, giving very helpful comments. We worked with another SSM Viki briefly and she is also very good. I found the sprint programs helpful to keep us on schedule, but the quality of instruction and feedback varies. The online resources are generic but organized.

I’ve been using Kyros for more than three years. It provides many sprint classes with guidance and closely follows school/exam schedules. I found the essay writing and feedback sprints most valuable. In my senior year, my SSM, Nathan, has been working very closely with me, conducting monthly 1:1s and providing timely and critical feedback on my essays. When I thought I was done and ready to submit essays, such as UC PIQs, Nathan gave valuable comments that I initially resisted. After thinking it through, I considered his perspective and revised the essay accordingly. He reviewed them again, even during the Thanksgiving break. I also needed additional support, e.g., Kyros’ 1:1 with Educator, to supplement Kyros’ basic services. Considering Kyros’ competitive pricing and Nathan’s professional and hard work, I rate it 5.
