Purchased a 2019 Volvo XC60 in January 2025. Unfortunately what should have been me buying the nicest car I have ever owned, has turned into a nightmare.

Issue 1: When I purchased the car, the warning support start stop service light was on and was assured that after driving the car, it would recharge and remedy itself. Notified dealer that evening after 3 hours of driving that it had not remedied itself. Back for visit 1 to the dealer. I dropped off the car, was told they would replace the support start/stop battery. Picked up the car several days later, drove for over an hour and the light came back on. Back for visit 2. Was then told everyone had gone home for the night, so I should go to a local garage to get it looked at. Visit 3 was to my local Halfords who immediately notified me that the battery had not been replaced by LMC so they proceeded to change the battery. After several emails and calls, I was eventually refunded for the new battery. How LMC did not think I would eventually discover that the battery had not been replaced is beyond me. 2 half days wasted driving back and forth to LMC ultimately for nothing.

Issue 2: When I purchased the car, LMC rep confirmed he had done all of the paperwork and I would receive the new logbook within a number of weeks. Several weeks pass, after checking with LMC who confirmed it was done, I contracted DVLA who quickly confirmed no change of ownership had been registered. After several more calls to LMC, this was finally undertaken.

Issue 3: The front registration plate of the car is damaged so when buying the car, it was agreed a new registration plate would be sent to my home address. 6 months later and after numerous calls, emails and texts, and LMC confirming repeatedly that "their parts team would send it", the new registration plate has still not arrived.

Issue 4: Within a small number of weeks, the car unfortunately had a flat tyre due to a nail puncturing the wheel. When I went to have the wheel repaired, I was informed that the security wheel nut given with the car was not correct. LMC could not provide me with the correct one so this required me to go to my local Volvo dealer to get new wheel nuts on the car (another day out to another garage with my new car to fix a LMC issue). Thankfully this happened near home because if this had happened while travelling abroad, I would have had to leave the car until Volvo could have sorted it.

Overall, I have spent circa 15-20h chasing LMC and dealing with issues which never should have arisen. Terrible service and a very expensive purchase has turned into a nightmare.

I would advise on avoiding LMC at all costs.

They were professional, courteous, and efficient—inspected the car, offered a very fair price (significantly better than Webuyanycar), and arranged instant payment on the spot.

All three—Clive, Tim, and Graham—were a pleasure to deal with and are a real credit to LMC. Other used car dealers could learn a lot from their approach. Highly recommended!

One of the worst costumer experiences ever. They asked for £500 initially, which l found too high just to secure a view of the car, then lower it to £200, thinking this was going to be refundable if we did not buy it (as with previous experiences searching used cars), but it was not... and they only tell you after paying it, and only if you ask if it is refundable...! They win, you lose...they force the sale on you. On the top of it, you have to wait for them to listen to the "training" recording of the call you made for the appointment. What if the call was not recorded?

I call them last week, to get updates on the phone call reviews, and I was told that they found 'evidence' that they told me over the phone that the deposit was not refundable...Well, yes...but after I made the payment of the £200...I am waiting now to receive copies of these recordings, because they allege it was before I made the payment, whereas I say otherwise. Accordingly: "Within the next 30 days". I will be filling my case with the Citizens Advice, to leave a precedent for this car dealer.

My name is Imran. If LMC have guts , call me and you must have my number . My car reg starts with OV71. The car have bought Hyundai ioniq. They said we have one key and another key will come with log book. ( it was a lie ). The battery gone flat right after next day and I had to call AA because I had a school run. After a week I went to car wash and I have found big scuff, dents and scratches because they put primer and sell it to me so that I cannot find those scratches or dents. I have got EPB sign on dashboard after 2 weeks of the collection of my car and it cost me to fix £196. I contact after sales and they said someone will contact with you but still I am waiting till Today. Mr jengis the salesman is another form of cheat as I told him that I will this car as a uber so that make sure the car sound not have any cosmetic damage . But he didn’t take it seriously. What I have found LMC, their car either outside damage or engine damage. They are not trustworthy at all. Also they reset the mileage of my car as I went to do MOT and trying to put current mileage and it always shows it’s lower than previous milage. They sell scrap cars from enterprise which runs like a horse. But they won’t tell you that they collect cars from rental Company. Could you imagine how people rent car and drive. The condition of the car is dead already also they are charging high from market value . Please about this scammers.

Sales person (Mo) was very friendly and helpful, there was no pressure and he was generous with his time.
The car we looked at was in good condition, and Mo/LMC were flexible and understanding with our queries.
