Hi Liam, three years of coming back — that's the best compliment a hobby shop can get, thank you.
On the miniatures range: we've actually trialled a wider spread of non-Warhammer systems over the years, and the demand just wasn't there to sustain them, so we lean into what our customers actually buy. Happy to special-order bits where we can, though — always worth an ask. Great to hear orders have reached you fast, well-packed and damage-free too; that's exactly the standard we hold ourselves to. Thanks for the feedback, and we're sorry this ended in a cancellation after a long wait.
On the allocation point: pre-orders for unreleased lines are taken before manufacturers confirm final allocations, which usually land around 4–6 weeks before release. When a supplier cuts our allocation below what we ordered — and on high-demand releases that confirmed figure can genuinely come back at zero — there's no stock to fulfil those orders, so they're cancelled strictly in order of purchase. That's not guesswork on our side; it's set out plainly in our pre-order/back-order terms, shown and agreed at checkout.
Taking pre-orders ahead of confirmed allocation is standard across the hobby — the alternative is customers missing launch-day stock altogether. We know that's cold comfort when an order falls through, and in every case the full amount is refunded the moment we cancel. — The Loaded Dice Team

We hear you on the courier front. The honest truth is we've used a fair few over the years, and we'd be lying if we said any of them were consistently brilliant — they all have their off days. What Evri does let us do is keep shipping costs down, and we pass those savings straight on to you in the prices, which on Warhammer 40k especially makes a real difference.

We're always reviewing our options, so your feedback genuinely helps. In the meantime, if a delivery ever goes sideways, drop us a line and we'll sort it — looking after customers after the order matters just as much as before it.

Thanks for the feedback, and we're sorry you're disappointed.

Our terms of service exist to keep pre-orders fair for the people who aren't using bots — and on high-demand Pokémon lines, we run checks against those terms and cancel any orders showing signs of automated or non-genuine purchasing methods.

On this particular release we cancelled almost 200 orders, all placed within around three seconds of each other in a coordinated bot attack. These cancellations are deliberate and we're confident in how they're applied. Our priority is — and always will be — making sure stock reaches genuine collectors at retail, rather than those using tools designed to get around the queue.

We appreciate that's not the answer you wanted to hear, but it's one our community of real hobbyists tends to thank us for.

We're sorry your pre-order was cancelled — it's never the outcome we want.

The reality is that supplier allocations on these releases can come in well below what's forecast, and that's largely outside our control. When the numbers don't add up, we cancel affected orders and refund in full straight away, rather than hold funds or part-fulfil. We'd rather deal with it honestly and quickly.

We know that's still frustrating, and we're sorry it affected you.
