Hello,

We strongly dispute the claims made in this review and wish to clarify the facts.

Our attendance was arranged as a chargeable call-out, which is clearly explained at the time of booking. This covers attendance, investigation, and professional assessment. No work beyond diagnostics was carried out, which is why no repair costs were charged.

At no point was any harassment intended or carried out. Follow-up contact was limited to standard administrative communication relating to the outstanding call-out charge. If contact was requested to stop, this would have been respected immediately.

We take allegations involving vulnerable or elderly customers extremely seriously. Had we been informed that further contact was causing distress, this would have been addressed straight away.

We categorically reject any suggestion of scamming or improper conduct. We operate transparently, in line with UK consumer law, and thousands of customers rely on our services every year.

If you wish to resolve this matter formally, please contact us directly in writing so it can be reviewed appropriately. We will not engage in further discussion via a public forum.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that the assessment and repair itself were completed satisfactorily.

We appreciate that drainage issues—particularly at an urgent time such as just before Christmas—can be stressful. Our pricing reflects the nature of the work carried out, including emergency attendance, specialist equipment, materials, and the permanent structural solution provided. All costs were explained and agreed in advance before works commenced.

Insurance settlements are determined solely by insurers’ own policy terms and are outside of our control. Many policies limit cover for drainage repairs, particularly where the issue relates to wear, collapse, or long-term deterioration.

We always encourage customers to take time to consider quotations where possible. In emergency situations, we aim to restore essential services as quickly and safely as we can, while remaining transparent about costs.

Dear Richard,

Thank you for your email. We do not agree with several points raised and wish to clarify the facts for the record.

Following our initial attendance, root ingress and structural defects were identified within the affected pipework. Based on the findings available at that time, a provisional recommendation and estimate were provided, which was clearly explained as being subject to confirmation once full access and preparation works were undertaken.

Upon commencement of works, further defects and complexities were identified that were not visible or assessable during the initial diagnostic visit. As is standard within the drainage industry, the scope and pricing were adjusted to reflect the actual works required, specialist materials used, equipment deployed, labour time, and site conditions. All works proceeded with the customer’s agreement at the time.

The length of liner installed does not equate to the full extent, complexity, or cost of the works undertaken. Preparation, cutting, reinstatement, access, specialist plant, and structural installation all form part of the service provided.

With regard to your insurance assessment, insurers routinely apply policy limits, exclusions, and depreciation and frequently undervalue specialist drainage works. Their internal valuation does not determine the commercial cost of works carried out, nor does it reflect the actual service provided. We have no control over insurance settlements.

Regarding reports, documentation was provided based on the works undertaken. Any delays in correspondence were not intentional; however, we do not accept the allegation of poor customer service or avoidance. Directors are not always available for direct calls, but the company remains contactable through its formal communication channels.

We categorically reject the assertion that we “overcharge” or act improperly. All works were carried out professionally, transparently, and in accordance with industry standards and consumer law.

Our position remains unchanged, and we consider the matter closed. Further correspondence should be made in writing.

Hello Mr Sartin,

Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify the facts for accuracy.

We did attend the property as agreed to carry out the toilet replacement and investigate the reported issues. Upon attendance, materials were purchased; however, it became clear on site that the work could not be completed as initially anticipated. As a result, the payment was refunded in full.

At no point did we “vanish” following payment. Attendance took place, and the matter was concluded by issuing a full refund once it was confirmed the work could not proceed.

We always aim to act fairly and transparently, and where work cannot be completed, we ensure customers are not left out of pocket.

We’re sorry to hear that you remain unhappy and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.

Following your contact with our office, we did agree that your deposit would be refunded. As outlined in our terms and conditions, refunds are processed within a specified time period rather than immediately. We can confirm that the refund process was underway.

However, we have since been notified that a dispute was raised directly with your bank. Once a chargeback or bank dispute is initiated, the funds are automatically frozen and we are unable to complete the refund through our normal payment system. This has unfortunately caused further delays that are outside of our control.

Regarding the drainage assessment, our engineer provided an opinion based on the information available at the time of the visit. We acknowledge that responsibility for shared drains can differ depending on ownership and layout, which is why we agreed to cancel further works and refund the deposit once this was identified.

We want to reassure you that we are not refusing the refund. As soon as the bank dispute is resolved or withdrawn, we will be able to proceed in line with our agreed terms.
