Great hotels, great guides, great transport, good food

Great travel company for adventurous destinations. Good communications and well organised. Encouraging to meet so many returning travellers. My first trips with Lupine but will be booking more.

This was a superb trip - as always with Lupine it was very well organised and there was so much packed into each day - including activities / social events in the evenings. I would highly recommend this trips - a great way to travel adventurously!!

Being my ninth Lupine trip I can definitely say I will be back for more.
This time it was to Afghanistan and everything about the trip was great, our tour guide Sascha was always on top of things, always providing us info on upcoming events, what, where and when, the local guide was always watching out for us and the itinerary included great sights to see. I highly recommend them.

The tour went exactly as promised and our guide, Tomás, did very well. We were a 100% female group and together with the local guides we felt safe, respected and even pampered. Tomás was always one step ahead to assist us with any issue. Yemen is a very interesting country and I feel happy to have visited it with such a professional company.

Lupine continues to offer an excellent level of customer service and great tours. Online booking is easy and the post booking information is detailed and gives a very useful insight into the tour. This tour to Algeria was good value and a trip not to be missed with the right mixture of city, coast and desert. I will continue to use Lupine for my tours to the more unusual places.

I have just completed my 7th and 8th tour with Lupine visiting Socotra and Chad. The tours have always been well organised but the standout factor is the service Lupine provide. On one recent tour my flight was delayed causing me to miss an important connection. Dylan (the owner) and Nick (the tour leader) helped me sort it out even though it was the middle of the night. Couldn't ask for more.

I am a very big Lupine fan, and had a wonderful recent experience on a tour to Algeria. Our guide Chris was extremely helpful and well-travelled, and my fellow travellers were interesting and respectful. I have done a number of Lupine trips in the past, and I look forward to doing more in the future!

A very good tour with lots if different experiences. A very organised tour

Excellent trip brilliantly organised by Lupine Travel.

Interesting destinations and itineraries, good value, well organised and professional -> a good recipe for some amazing experiences.

Everything was above my expectations! Tour Leader was experienced and led the group well. Food was very good despite outdoor camping.

The only negative feedback is the hotel at Halibou which is like a one star rated hotel,

Iron Ore Train journey probably too long with 160km extra drive to mine and then doing full 19 hour journey. This part a little chaotic as chased train backwards and forwards for hundreds of KM’s to get onboard.

Local tour guide and tour leader were very attentive and hard working.

The trip to Central America in 12/2023 was simply great, amazing and an unforgettable adventure! It was a combination of incredible encounters with people telling their personal stories, countries with underestimated potential - it is an intense combination of wonderful people, interesting history, breathtaking culture and beautiful landscapes. Go there and make up your own mind! Special thanks to Robert, our tour guide, who developed the concept of this trip and whose warm personality characterised the journey with its people and made it an unforgettable experience.

All in all, Lupine's tour to Saudi Arabia is cut above the usual. It's an incredible country in the midst of rapid change. We felt like a bit like pioneers as some of the first tourists to see some of the evolving tourists sites and infrastructure that is being set up for it.

The country is a bit more expensive so the program fee is a bit higher but the quality of accommodation, save one venue, was quite good. The meals that were included were all excellent as well. You will definitely never starve in Saudi, they just won't allow it with the portions they provide. Seems to be built into Saudi hospitality.

Our tour leader was excellent as was our guide and drivers. Made every effort to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

The itinerary is still evolving. I'd say, as more tours run and Lupine learns more. Our internal flights were not possible due to a schedule change so we drive the whole way to Al Ula which was a long time in the Land Rovers for 2 days. We did however get to see rock carvings in Jubbah and bit of red desert along the way that broke up the journey.

Al Ula was absolutely beautiful... as impressive as Petra. Be aware though that it is very controlled and you must go in consolidated busses and at set times with official guides. I'd have preferred another day in Al Ula over Jubbah, personally. There is a so much to see an with just one full day, it seemed like we were moving fast and just scratching the surface.

Seeing the mosque in Medina for friday call to prayer was an unforgettable experience. Only a few years ago this would have been impossible as a non-muslim.

Both Riyadh and Jeddah were much more interesting cities than I anticipated. Spending the afternoon at the fish market choosing a fish, having it cleaned and cooked was a highlight for all of us.

Be aware that on Fridays some the sites could be closed for prayers...several museums were in accessible on both our fridays forcing our guides to fall back to some plan B activities... but everything we did was great.

This tour demystified Saudi Arabia for me, as I suspected it would. Keep and open mind and stay flexible and you will love this tour.

I've been on many Lupine tours going back several years. The tours are usually good overall, however the quality of the tour leaders tends to be all over the place. Some tour leaders are great, professional, organized, proactive and personable. Others fail in critical ways that drag down the entire tour experience.

I just got back from doing Lupine's "Cameroon & Central African Republic" tour, and this was one such tour where the tour leader was absolutely horrible. She had bad judgement, poor instincts, and fundamentally was unsuitable to run the tour. She had underlying health problems that caused her to get violently ill repeatedly (at least 3 times during the 10 days of tour), resulting in spending the rest of the day & evening confined to her hotel room recovering.

However, this was not the worst of the problems with this leader. She sacrificed the safety of the group, by delaying a very long day of overland travel by hours to take people clothing shopping. As a result, we ended up driving for hours after dark on roads that the tour leader described as "very bad". That shopping trip should have happened the day before, rather than delaying everyone.

Another safety incident occurred when a visit to a pygmy village was communicated simply as "30 minutes to get there". In reality, it was driving down a bush track for 20 minutes, then walking for nearly 30 minutes through dense jungle with aggressive, biting ants. Multiple people were unprepared for such a walk (wearing sandals, etc), and were bitten repeatedly by the ants.

There was one person in the group who had serious behavioral problems that put the group at risk (they were taking photos of people who did not want to be photographed, also in sensitive govt/military areas where photography is illegal). People repeatedly complained about this person to the tour leader, yet she did absolutely nothing to address the problem for the entire duration of the tour.

Its difficult to separate the tour experience from the tour leader, when the leader's job performance plays a significant role in the quality of the experience. The destination was unique, exciting and memorable. I'm not sure that Lupine can get credit for the destination though.

Great trip and location early days for tourism in Saudi Arabia do a privilege to get to see 👀 it before the European 🇪🇺 tourist invasion.

Fantastic tours to remote destinations. Very well run from the booking process to the end of the trips.

This was an unusual tour (Brundi, Rwand and DRC) for me and it was made excellent by Lupine Travel. From the booking process, correspondence and the tour itself, it was easy and made simple with no stress. Well done

I did the Danakil extension tour and it was fabulous. Well organised, well planned and a great tour. Nick as ever, was a great tour leader. Danakil is like nowhere you’ve ever seen before!
