My husband and I recently traveled to Peru with the Luxury Peru Travel Company and had the most wonderful holiday. Everything was planned to perfection and so it all went smoothly. PROS
- tour well organized and scheduled by Diana, especially the suggestion to revisit Macchu Picchu on a second day that made our vacation really unforgettable.
- guides very well prepared, passionate, polite and nice.
- accommodations nice and fancy.
A special mention to Andre in Cuzco, Beto in Machu Picchu and Masiell from Puno to Arequipa, their service was precious. A special thank to David as well, whose help and availability were crucial when we had an hard time in Puno.
CONS (just one 😉)
- we should have been better advised about the health issue due to the flying from Lima straight to Cuzco; we were the only tourists to travel this way and all the locals we talked to agreed it was a very bad idea (I got sick indeed)

We enjoyed our trip immensely. With my husband’s health, we knew that a trip to Peru, especially Machu Picchu, would be a big challenge for him, but with the planning that The Luxury Peru Travel Company did for us, we were able to enjoy every moment of the trip and return home with meaningful memories.

Diana created an itinerary for us that matched my requirements perfectly. The information prior to our trip enabled me to prepare for it and the help and advice from Diana was excellent. Every one of our guides during our 12-day adventure in Peru was excellent; we were amazed at how seamlessly all our transfers, hand-offs, and transportation were managed. The itinerary was excellent and we learned so much about each of the stops on the way, the cultural highlights, and the history of each part of the country.

This company had done a fabulous job for us.
The guides and the drivers were always on time, very informed and good attitude, never a problem at all, all the accommodation were what we expected.

What made our experience great was the itinerary Luxury Peru helped us to plan. It included the city of Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and the jungle, and they assisted us all along the way with personal adjustments to our agenda. The guides and drivers were friendly, dependable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The lodging was superb and all the places we visited were rich in history and beauty. There were two scheduling snags - we arrived at Machu Picchu without time to take the tour and enable us to catch the train back to Cusco. Luckily, Luvy gave us an impromptu personal tour. There was also confusion upon our arrival in Lima with the timing of our tour to Pachacamac the following day as was pre-planned. Also, on our free day in Lima, it was recommended by our guide that we visit three museums; the Gold Museum, Almano Museum, and the Larco Museum. The Gold and Almano Museums could have easily been skipped as they were small, involved much time to get there, and similar displays could be seen at the Larco. Concerning Peru in general, the food was not nearly as good as we expected (the lunch on the train was inedible) and the traffic in Lima was a nightmare but was skillfully maneuvered by the excellent drivers with whom we were provided. All in all, the trip was historically enriching, culturally inspiring, and scenically breathtaking.

Absolutely the most amazing trip ever!!! Everything was perfect from start to finish. It is such a pleasure to work with a company that completely takes care of every detail to make it a special trip! I could not have asked for better service, better hotels, or better tours. Top notch in every aspect. Guides were amazing and so knowledgeable. We learned so many new facts and saw things we never imagined! The Best of the Best is how our entire group felt!

From the moment we were in contact to the day we left; everything was perfect. The recommendations, the communication; everything flowed perfectly.

We had a great trip of a lifetime!

The arrangements, hotels, transport, and guides were all terrific. The recommendation for Aqua Expeditions Aria was fantastic and a great way to end the trip.

Things to improve on: the booking agent could improve communication and attention to detail. There were some confusing/erroneous things in the draft itineraries. Also I would not take the Vistadome train again, I would prefer Hiram Bingham. Vistadome doesn’t meet a luxury definition and the end terminal location added over 1 hr to our travels to Cusco. We were an hour late to our destination. Also it would have been nice to have individual reservations rather than the whole group under one name and the option for upgraded flight seats (exit row, or front of cabin).

Diana was always very prompt in responding to my gazillion enquirers, also accommodated a change during the tour on a 24 hr notice- tour a little pricey but I would say worth it - as I had absolutely no worries during the tour - all guides / drivers were readily identifiable and very pleasant.

A few days before our tour a strike occured along the railway to Machu Picchu. However Diana re booked our time to ensure we still had a great time. The tour guide we were assigned was amazing. In hindsight I think we actually had a better time..
