Total Waste of Time, Unjustified Account Suspension
I signed up for MailerSend hoping to use their service for sending transactional emails for my e-commerce business. After submitting the required details about my company and use case, my account was abruptly suspended without a clear explanation.
I reached out for clarification, but the responses were vague and unhelpful. As a legitimate business based in Africa, itâs hard not to feel that there may be some form of bias or prejudice involved, especially when no concrete reason is given. My business is fully operational and compliant, and I was transparent with my intentions.
Itâs disappointing to be treated this way by a service that claims to support global businesses. I cannot recommend MailerSend based on this experience, and I would advise others to look for platforms with better transparency and customer support.

Despite an overly complicated start
Despite an overly complicated start, mostly my fault for mistakenly creating two accounts, the support team were excellent in taking patient time to sort it out.
The trial version just didn't work but I've just been approved to use Mailersend for my business.

This was my first time using this companyâs email API. When the test went smoothly, I proceeded to pay for a 100K email subscription plan.
On my very first send, after sending only around 1,000 emails, they notified me that my email list had a high bounce rate (around 10%) and suspended my account.
Alright, so maybe we can recheck our email list and resubmit?
MailerSend: No! Your email bounce rate is too high â your account is being SUSPENDED immediately!
Me: Fine, then how about a refund?
MailerSend: No, because you violated our policy, there will be no refund!
Iâm really curious â is this some new business model now? If a customer accidentally violates an alleged policy, you can just suspend their account, not provide any service, and keep the money without issuing a refund?
Iâm not sure if this is legal, but we reserve all rights to pursue legal action.
Well, one good thing did come out of this: thanks to MailerSendâs terrible experience, we found another email service provider that is more than 50% cheaper â and successfully delivered all of our emails.
