Mijn Maium jas is echt mega lekker warm! Natuurlijk werkt hij ook top in de regen maar ik trek hem ook gewoon aan het al het droog is, de fit is heel goed en ik krijg er veel complimenten op!

After about a year of use, my jacket startet to dissolve. Without expecting anything to come out of it I told Maium. But then they didn't think twice and sent me a new jacket without any hassle. That's what I call costumer service. Now I'll happily give this a second try. Thanks again for the amazing service as well as the once more beautiful rain coat!

Best winter jacket! Super long and warm, nice long sleeves, hood that properly covers your face and stays in place and perfect for bike riding. The only thing I wish it had was a zip up interior pocket

Nu was de rits kapot en Marum, hier in het bijzonder Miriam, heeft mij zo fantastisch geholpen. Er is naar mij een nieuwe jas gestuurd zonder discussie en ik kan mijn jas kan terugsturen zodra de nieuwe er is. Hoe fijn is dat! Zo ben ik geen dag zonder jas🥳🥳🥳

While I truly love the warmth of the jacket, I am slightly concerned about the quality and longevidy. I replaced my long 'lightweight puffer' jacket twice in less than 3 years. The original zipper broke (twice) and the seams leak under light-moderate rain, as they are not fully waterproof as they claim.

That being said, the jacket still looks amazing, is comfortable and extremely warm. My favorite jacket (more so than my 800 euro Woolrich coat) thus far and I am even more impressed with the customer service.

After waiting more than a year for a replacement jacket (my size was out of stock), Miriam, the customer service representative, upheld her promise and made sure I was provided with a replacement.

A bit inconvenient to wait an entire winter season with a broken jacket, however I am still a fan of their product and satisfied with their service. I rate 4/5 stars because I would still recommend this jacket/company, despite their shortcommings and continue to shop there.

The bonus was the customer service. Keeping the customer happy and not making me jump through hoops to support my legit claim has left me extremely satisfied.

Well done Maium, I hope you guys find a lot of success in your company and are able to work out the minor inperfections in your products.

Ik geef Maium alle sterren. En dat verdienen zij! Wat een service. Geweldig! In het verleden een missend onderdeel ontvangen van mijn Maium regenjas. Nu miste ik een klein knoopje van diezelfde Maium jas en zonder problemen kreeg ik reserve knoopjes toegezonden! Kon ze desnoods bij een tailor laten aanzetten. Nogmaals alle sterren voor Maium!

Honestly, I think it's a shame that customer service didn't even try to help me.

I had a problem with shopify, I wrote in the minute after placing my order to ask to change the address (I just moved and I no longer have access).

Customer service told me that the parcel would be delivered there and that I just had to get it myself.

So I wasted my time and money.

Nice poncho, I bought it for biking.
Unfortunately it is not breathable and beads of sweat/condensation are collected inside the coat each time I'm trying it. The coat protects me from the rain but I still finish terribly soaked every time I'm wearing it.
I feel wronged because it has been sold for this purpose and 139,- Euros is an unacceptable price for this quality.
I also agree with Claudia, that when you put the coat over the handlebars, the water just accumulates in the middle since there is no tension in the coat due to the fact that you cannot attach it to the bike.

I bought the Original coat to be able to bike in the rain. The colors are beautiful and the solution with the lateral zippers to cover the legs is great but the coat is not waterproof: well, the fabric is, the seams are not. The poked seams let the water go through and soak the inner lining, which gets very wet within minutes. This is unacceptable for a raincoat sold as "waterproof", so I immediately wrote to customer service: they answered the coat should have been waterproof and offered a substitution. They have been nice and cooperative, but the second coat I received had the same, identical problem.
Reading other commentaries, I think this is a structural malfunction and these coats are quite a scam, since the website guarantees they are waterproof when clearly they aren't.
I really love the coat concept, but to give it a chance and use it for the purpose it has been built and sold for (staying dry when cycling under the rain), I had to search and buy a roll of waterproof tape and cover all the seams: I'm upset because this should have been their work, not mine.

I bought a 160 EURO Parka and after first time using it, all my clothes were so wet, every touch point inside the coat gets really wet! So this coat is not waterproof. I have the coat for 1 year now and will no longer use it. From day 1 it did not keep the water outside. I cannot believe how a company can sell these coats as waterproof, my 26 EURO H&M coat is even better.

Sorry, I cannot approve of such expensive products.

After Maium's reply below I sent an email asking what product I could buy to make it waterproof again or any other solution. Never had an answer back.

Very bad quality while using it. No correcr solution offered.

I bought a coat in sale. The long puffer model. It was with a discount and as they stated without guarantee but that was because it was the model and colour of the season before. Hence the discount. But a brand new coat, no flaws they said. And still a firm price. 125 euro is not a small amount of money for me. I normally buy coats around that price that lasts for 3 years minimum.

I really love the coat in daily use. It's light and water resistant. I liked that last year color (dark red/brown). Unfortunately after 1 month the inside of the sleeve teared. Maybe I was too rough putting it on, so l left it.

But after 4 months use all the down/fluffy fell to the bottom of the coat. Which makes it unwearable. Not warm above and middle and walking is annoying and it looks really weird. Let alone sit in a car with the fluff all at the bottom. Imagine a big wedding dress.. ;)

Clearly mistakes have been made with the stitches. That should have prevent it from falling. Annoying, but it can happen. From a nice and expensive brand like Maium I expect some service in this particular case.

Unfortunately there is no support. Costumer service is hiding behind the rule of sale, so no guarantee. It's sample sale so there could be a risk. But A that's not what has been told when I bought it (any risk). They said its new, just an old model. And even if so, that should have the promised quality right? B this looks like a fabrication mistake C the puff should not get loose and all fall down ever. Let alone after such a short time.

It can happen so I asked if they gave a solution. Could it be fixed? (I love to keep it when its in good shape). First respons was we can help and they closed the question. I reached out again. Even offered to pay only half back (still ridiculous after 4 months use).

In the end I received a discount coupon. But why would I spend more money for a product that only proven me to be not sustainable and unreliable. Also with not a good after care. A big shame, as long it worked I like the coat.

I'm the founder of a sustainable fashion company and these people are a joke.

The zipper of my new coat broke after 3 months of normal use. That's a bad start for a 'sustainable' coat, but I asked them if they could repair it like any normal sustainable company would. They don't even have the option to repair. They just said they can't help me. Now I have an expensive and broken coat that will end up being dumped or burned because the zipper cannot be repaired.

A joke of a company and definitely not 'sustainable'. Choose a brand with higher quality that offer repairs. These are just marketing guys selling crap.

Ich habe eine Pufferjacke bei Maium gekauft. Trotz des hohen Preises ging sie nach bereits einem Jahr am Reißverschluss kaputt, woraufhin ich die Jacke zurücksenden konnte und mir eine Neue versprochen wurde.
Zuerst bekam ich nach ganzen anderthalb Monaten warten ein völlig anderes Modell zugeschickt. Es dauerte Wochen, bis ich den Kundenservice erreichte und mir geglaubt wurde, dass ich ursprünglich eine andere Jacke bestellt hatte. Ich bekam immer nur knappe, unbeteiligte Antworten zurück.
Nach nun bald drei Monaten ohne Winterjacke habe ich immer noch keine neue Jacke bekommen.
Dieser Onlineshop ist äußerst unprofessional und unseriös. Ich kann ihn nicht weiterempfehlen!

I ordered a raincoat from Maium that never shipped, despite receiving confirmation, tracking number, etc. After a few weeks passed I emailed them, and they told me it was out of stock and they have no clue how I'd managed to order it. If I hadn't reached out, were they just going to keep my 229€ and not say anything?! That was a bit of a red flag. In the same order, I ordered a pair of their gloves for 49€. Outrageously expensive, but I live in the Netherlands and I'm desperate for dry hands biking. These gloves pilled and had a snag coming out of the thumb on literally the FIRST wear-- after I just went for a walk wearing them. My 8€ gloves from bol didn't even do this after 3 years. While the company is very cool and trendy and their customer service is responsive, I can't recommend based on these 2 experiences.

I really love my new Mauim coat. It’s perfect for the dutch wheater and good looking!
I always go to my work bij bike and it rains al lot. I don’t mind because I will arrived dry with my Mauim coat. Rain doesn’t bothers me anymore.

Great quality, and the Support team was very responsive and helpful.
I purchased the gloves, backpack and the MAC padded raincoat. all of great quality. I recommend these products. Order arrived on time. When I faced a minor issue with the coat and had to fix something, the team replied the same day and offered a way to resolve this immediately. Nowadays, customer care and after purchased support are important, so THUMBS up

Leider unseriös - Rückgabe nicht möglich!
Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell. Nachdem ich festgestellt habe, dass die drei Produkte leider zu groß sind, wollte ich sie zunächst umtauschen. Bei zwei Produkten hat die Erstellung des Rücksendeformulars gut funktioniert. Bei einem Produkt wegen eines vermeintlichen Systemfehlers leider nicht.
E-Mails werden vom Maium-Support nur scheinbar oder automatisch beantwortet. Vorschläge funktionieren nicht. Enttäuscht vom Service werde ich alle drei Produkte zurückgeben. Vorerst aber leider nur die zwei!
Maium verliert damit nicht nur einen Kunden, sondern für mich persönlich auch den Namen! Schade.

Worst coat I’ve ever had .

The zipper is not waterproof, if you stand in a seated position which seems to be the goal of the product, it will start leaking through the zipper.

Returned mine for 14€ which is an outrage since they don’t meet customers requirements.

I ordered the Mac (05) in smoked paprika a few months ago. Living in the Netherlands, I had plenty of occasions to test the raincoat while biking under the rain. Overall, I am quite disappointed.
- there are no straps to fasten the coat around your legs, so the coat constantly goes up your legs with the motion of biking and they are then unprotected.
- the pockets are not sealed with a zipper, so the slightest weight (ex; keys) or even just the fact to be sitting on the bike opens up the pockets and they get filled with water.
- the buttons of the coat came loose after 1-2 usage
- the holes to put your hands in are not equipped with zippers, so if you open the sides of the coat to be able to bike, but you don’t put your hands in to get the coat above the handlebars, water gets in through the hand holes.
- I have never managed to make the coat stay above the handlebars, because of the wind, the coat doesn’t stay in place (there is nothing to secure/wrap/attach the coat anywhere on the bike frame) and you get all wet below the waist
- when you put the coat over the handlebars, the water just accumulates in the middle since there is no tension in the coat due to the fact that you cannot attach it to the bike.

The positive thing about this coat is:
- the hood stays well in place and the cap feature keeps water off your eyes

With the price range of this coat and the claim that this coat is adapted to biking, I was expecting more. It was my first time buying this kind of raincoat so I had no reference and wanted to avoid the dreadful bike rain pants, but after this experience I think I prefer to go for something that looks less good but will actually accomplish its function of protecting against the rain.
