Very recently I bought a portable air conditioner due to hot weather but it hasn't been shipped yet, neither I was provided any tracking number etc.. Company's address shows in London but phone number doesn't work. So feel doubt & started searching about it. Here I am now. Terrible mistake for me.

i would say 0 if possible. they are scammers who take you money and NEVER supply anything. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Or their parent company. S J Econ Ltd.

Do NOT buy from this company. It is a con. They adverstise "Easy returns, no hassle"...... and give a London address for their business......this is not true. When you try and return something they then (and only then) tell you that you have to pay to return it to their warehouse in China. They then try and pressure you into keeping the item you don't want by offers of store credits etc. I do a lot of internet shopping and I will never buy from this company again - misleading and dishonest company.

I was about to order a portable air conditioning unit from this company but luckily I checked on here before I did. Come on Trustpilot, get a grip. Look at the one star reviews of the past few days and see the problems. People like me rely on you and your star rating is misleading.

As others have reported this is a scam website. Bought an air cooler which never arrived. Luckily the bank gave me the money back.

Information about this company - Modecas is a trading name. They are operated by SJ Ecom Ltd (from the Modecas website). From the Companies House website, company number 16862377, SJ Ecom Ltd was created in Nov 2025. The signficant owner is not in the UK - they are in the Netherlands. The registered business address, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Gardens, London, (you can google them) is a 'rent-a-room' office building, so is not a fixed business address.

The modecas website claims to have a 'rating of 4.7' with 3500+ happy customers and 98% 'would recommend'. However, there are no links to these claims, and no reviews available to read on their website other than a one or two they choose to show you with no clickable links.

Please research carefully before ordering anything.

Scam: full of fake reviews and AI images of products being delivered. Registered address is a London address famous for fake businesses (this particular address has 85,000 registered businesses) Products are not sent.

Update: I stupidly bought a portable air con unit from them, but after a week of daily emails (back and forth), they sent a refund as they seemingly didn't have a portable air con to send.

Well unfortunately I purchased an air cooler , as I was so excited to get one modecas sent a message out it’s on its way and replied to a email .
Payment still pending and I have had to replace my card due to someone trying to hack into my account

Its a scam! Don't buy anything from this website. I've reported this and other similar website to the police.

SCAM - STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE

I have reason to believe that the people who set up this store are the same ones who set up the online store Wilson and Carter, which is a total scam. I urge you, if you are thinking about buying from this store to check out the reviews of Wilson and Carter and take a good look at the listings before making a decision.
