i wish to inform you of my electric cooker montpellier solid rings 50cm serial No 5137100177 purchased on 11/07/2022 that the solid rings/hobs are rusting i had to get one replaced on the 09/02/2024 also showing signs of rust on the body of the cooker i suggest inferrior metal has been used can you investigate please. thank you Chris
The bottom oven door on my Montpelier MDOG60LS cooker developed a fault whereby the metal framework of the door sagged resulting in the door not engaging with the catch allowing heat to escape and damage my adjacent kitchen drawers.
Montpelier refused to repair the oven door even though the appliance was only a few months old.
Their 2-year warranty is utterly worthless.
Six months later, a senior director (Rob Chapell) is refusing to take my phone calls or reply to my e-mails.
My advice to everyone is do not buy Montpelier appliances!
Quick delivery, quiet machine, seems to dry ok,can't say how long it will last as never had this make before.
Hi, I put new kitchen in July 2024,Montpellier charcoal fan has never worked, steam runs down kitchen walls, have to open windows when cooking, smoke alarm goes off also. I'm so disappointed with it. Can you offer any solution to this problem.
Montpellier Appliances has been a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, their products have appealing features, like the stylish design of the appliances. However, there have been issues with their warranty service. My oven had problems that werenât addressed despite sending many pictures. Communication even stopped when I raised a fuss. Moreover, a washing machine broke soon after purchase, and resolving it through the warranty has been a hassle with no clear solution in sight. While customer service was friendly when I called for general advice, the overall experience left room for improvement.
So i purchased a fridge freezer on line from currys ordered on the 11/10/24 it was delivered on the 14/10/24 3 days later the fridge freezer stopped working i had to wait untill the 22/10/24 for a engineer to come out all my food had to be throwen away so the engineer came and had to replace a wire that wasnt conected so the fridge was working since then ive notice a smell loads of water in the bottom of the fridge and ice on the back wall of frudgex and drain hole also blocked the fridge is faulty again 1 month and 4 days old i contaacted them on 11/11/24 and was tokd an engineer will call to book appiontment today is the 1511/24 no call so calked them back to be told the engineers are working threw there diary and they dont know when they will call agin i stated its just over a month old and 2nd fault . I was then told to contact currys. So i contacted curry spkoe to an advisor on line who looked at my order and said how sorry i was goin threw this gave me a number to get a uplift number to replace the fridge freezer after speaking to 5 different people being on the phone for half hour to be told i have to get the uplift number from montiphiller all i want is the fridge freezer gone and to stoo being passed from piller to post i just need a uplift number i have spoken in total 6 people today. So its 22nd of november and still no call from any engineer about blocked drain hole and freezing on back wall they must be still working threw their back log
We bought a lovely looking black retro fridge.
BUT. There were 2 warranty information lables stuck on the front which when I peeled off only the top layer came off leaving the backing layer still stuck on the door. Rubbing off with a pan scourer still left an outline of the lables. My husband has now used a cloth with a drip of petrol on it to remove the marks.
PLEASE use tables which peel off properly!

I brought a glass hob which I use about 3 times a week and I used it for a year and the glass shattered everywhere. I was so lucky that I just moved away and no one was hurt. I just think there products are very dangerous and would not recommend it to anyone as it was so dangerous. And the company Montpellier are refusing to take responsibility and kept promising me things for 10 days to ask me to purchase another one from them they are having a laugh.
I bought the MAB386c fridge freezer two years ago now. The whole selling point of this models is it aesthetic as it is cream retro style. In august I noticed some paint bubbling and slight signs of rust at the bottom of the doors (visible on the outside). Saw it was in the two year warranty period so contacted them. Forwards and backwards sent them all the photos then they go quiet so you have to chase them. Then they want a photo of the serial number (why didnât they ask for that straight away). Drags on into October and I said I have contacted you well within the two year period so the fact that you have now dragged this on shouldnât affect matters. Now they have turned round and said that the cosmetic appearance isnât covered under the warranty! That is the whole point of buying the model in the first place. And a fridge freezer shouldnât rust within two years of buying it (kept in a dry kitchen environment etc, dried if itâs wiped over etc.). I have now asked them for written evidence that this is not covered under the warranty otherwise I will be going to trading standards.

Shockingly ! the expensive Fridge Freezer we bought stopped working after 2.5 years , surprise,just out of warranty. Light is on but doest chill or freeze, its completely useless Amazon advised to go straight to Montpellier, found the website and they wouldn't do anything as out of warranty . On googling it could be a number of problems and I cant locate all the possible parts for the model .. thermostat was located for £ 81. So it will go into landfill ..we will never buy Montpellier again .
If I could give minus stars I would.. lost so much money when we obviously thought it would last longer than 2.5 years..
Ovens are absolute trash. Had two of these now and both of them have faulty top ovens.
DO NOT BUY THE DUAL OVEN VERSIONS, they do not work.

Extremely Disappointed with Montpellier's Warranty Service
I am beyond frustrated with the warranty service for my Montpellier washing machine. It broke down on June 2nd, just one month after purchase, and despite having two engineers sent out to diagnose the issue, neither was able to correctly identify the problem. I was then told that in order to replace the machine, I would need a form provided by the retailer, THESCHACHGROUP.COM, to be sent back to Montpellier.
However, the retailer has been avoiding me for the past four months, giving me the runaround and failing to cooperate. What I don't understand is why Montpellier, as the manufacturer, couldn't simply replace the faulty machine themselves, especially since it's still under warranty.
It's now been 5.5 months, and the problem is still unresolved. Montpellier has shown no interest in helping me rectify the issue, leaving me stuck with a broken washer. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would expect much better service, especially from a company that prides itself on its products.

I bought new Montpellier MON-MTE51W SID18413063 cooker for my tenants August 2022, which worked fime. They moved out November 2022, and the house was then empty for some time undergoing refurbishment. Before new tenants arrived in February 2024, a full EIC check was carried out and the cooker worked fine - for a while. In July 2024 the tenants reported the cooker kept tripping the 32amp breaker. It had only been in use for 8 months since I bought it and was still under warranty with Minerva, I contacted them and an engineer was sent several times from the supplier. He said there was a problem with the electrical supply. I asked my electricians to carry out a further check to EIC standards, they said it was all Ok. Minerva disputed the EIC findings, and suggested fitting a 40amp fuse would solve the problems. The supply cable is 4mm, ever since 1995 when the house was first let, and there have never been problems with previous cookers. My electrician said a 40amp fuse on a 4mm wire could cause a fire. The tenants don't use the ovens so are hardly causing sufficient load to trip the 32amp fuse. Minerva are denying liability. So three months later, the tenants are without use of the cooker. Very disatisfied with the whole saga. Poor product, warranty not worth the paper. Have now replaced with another make.
Now on second Condenser dryer (MCD8W) in last 3 years. First one leaked after 3 months of using, then had 3 engineers out in the following 18 months who were unable to repair it fully. Current dryer was then provided new and 18 months later the plug has now burnt, causing damage to the plug socket. Waiting for warranty company to provide update on when repair can take place, with no update provided for over a week. Dryer is the worse electrical item I have purchased and will not buy any further items from this manufacturer again.

This tumble-dryer is a great replacement for a previous brand which I had. Much quieter, also I like the digital control panel and the stylish drum door. A great product, much cheaper then many other brands.
