Was met on time and transaction went smoothly. No negatives

I got my car on Saturday at Motorpoint. Edinburgh and can’t thank Louis the sales person for his friendly approach and help it was so easy and no stress, I can’t praise him enough , thank you

Bought a fiat 500 from the Edinburgh branch 4 weeks ago for our daughter, its a lovely car and she was delighted with it, until unfortunately at the weekend a warning light (insufficient engine pressure sensor) came on. When we got it checked out there was no oil in the car at all. The last service was carried out in June 2025 with only a basic oil and filter change done in December 2025 which is maintenance rather than a service. We now have to pay for a service ourself as Motorpoint consider an oil and filter change as a service and will follow the recommended miles/months between regardless if the oil is empty, In the name of good customer service I would have at least expected the cost of a service to be covered so we aren't out of pocket so soon after purchase. The lady we spoke to Tara Sahu was very helpful arranging for the cost of the oil we bought to be refunded so thanks for that, So for confirmation can Motorpoint confirm our extended warranty we purchased will still be valid due to the service interval i noted above, and that the warranty will accept the oil and filter change??

The sales person Dougie Dickson was a delight to deal with being not pushy and spent time dealing with the paperwork and explaining the process.
Easy process to buy and sell through Motorpoint with no pressure on the customer.
Good prices for trade in and buying.

Sold my car to Motorpoint Edinburgh. The process was very straight forward and simple. I was offered a fair price and arranged an appointment on line. Did not try to haggle me down but honoured the original offer. Payment was in my bank account within minutes. Great service.

Nightmare getting to branch as access road closed. Once we eventually managed to access the building everything went very smoothly. They examined the car and gave us the price quoted online which we were very happy with. Money in our account in fifteen mins. Superb service and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Took my payment on a personal employee device which the employee admitted.

An employees phone is not safe to take customer payments on!

Poor data security and can’t show me that my data is safe

Contacted their data protection officer but I have had no response.

I had an excellent experience buying my Toyota C-HR from Motorpoint Edinburgh.
I travelled all the way from South Shields to Edinburgh to view the car, so I was hoping the journey would be worthwhile—and it definitely was. From my initial enquiry, the communication was excellent, and everything was arranged clearly before I made the trip.
When I arrived at the Edinburgh branch, the staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. I was given plenty of time to look over the car and take it for a test drive, without feeling rushed or pressured. The car was exactly as described, the test drive went really well, and all my questions were answered clearly.
The whole buying process was straightforward and stress-free. I also really appreciated that I never felt pressured into purchasing additional products or extras. Everything was explained properly, allowing me to make my own decision.
I’m extremely happy with my Toyota C-HR and with the service I received from the Motorpoint Edinburgh team. Travelling from South Shields was a fair distance, but the experience made the journey completely worthwhile.

Easy to deal with sales, and well looked after

Staff were great, it was nice they were able to get the car to Scotland from England, it was the colour and spec we wanted, and having looked at so many others the price was in right range. One small issue with the windshield fluid sensor and they were able to sort it out after we bought it. Only thing was odd was they didn't include the factory mats, hoping we would buy theirs I suppose.
