The whole experience was stress free; from the warm welcome (and coffee) in the spacious reception area to driving the car away a day later.
Whilst the sales staff were always available to help, for me the best experience was being able to examine the vehicle on my own without feeling the pressure of somebody looking over my shoulder.
This was true not only of the static inspection, but also of being able to test drive the vehicle on my own.
On top of all that, I was given a very fair trade-in price for my existing vehicle.

Part of the enjoyment of looking for your next car is to have a good look at the stock with no pressure which was quite enjoyable, when we did find the right car the process was also enjoyable .polite helpful staff

We hadn’t bought from this type of car shop before and initially just went to sit in some cars to help us decide what we wanted.
The whole process was so relaxed and easy. We were given the keys and sat in all 3 on our own with no pressure from Tony who had met us when we arrived.
We settled on one car and were offered a test drive on our own by Jack. By the time we got back we had decided to purchase the car as the price was very good. Jack explained how the process worked and the following day we confirmed the purchase.
The online portal was very straightforward to use and the information presented clearly.
We collected the car a couple of days later. Initially we weren’t going to part exchange and I paid for the car in full but we changed our minds and they were really understanding. We received the money into our account 2 days later.
During the process I had a couple of questions and the phone was answered promptly.
Would definitely recommend and were really pleased with our car.

Review of My Experience with Motorpoint

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience purchasing a car from Motorpoint. What was supposed to be an exciting new vehicle purchase has turned into a frustrating and unsafe ordeal.

Initial Safety Concerns:
While driving home on the motorway, my newly purchased MG HS Trophy (just 5 months old) exhibited a serious and dangerous issue. The car suddenly braked and reduced speed from 70 mph to around 20 mph without any input, nearly causing multiple accidents. I immediately contacted the salesman and Motorpoint, and I was reassured they would get back to me the next day.

Navigation and Safety Features Problems:
Later that day, I attempted to familiarise myself with the vehicle's features. The SatNav displayed my location as being far from where I actually was — in Ipswich when I was driving in Norwich. Despite multiple drives, the navigation remained inaccurate, and several safety features such as emergency brake, adaptive cruise control, and lane assist were unavailable. This is unacceptable for a top-spec vehicle purchased for safety and comfort.

Extended Waiting and Poor Customer Service:
Motorpoint instructed me to leave the car with them, promising it would be sent to the main dealer for inspection and repairs, and that I would receive a courtesy car similar to my purchase. However, over two months have passed, and my MG is still with Motorpoint. Recently, they contacted me to return the courtesy car and offered a VW Polo—a manual car—which is wholly unsuitable for my wife, who suffers from back pain and cannot drive a manual transmission.

Lack of Resolution and Unprofessionalism:
I personally visited Motorpoint to express my dissatisfaction. The Sales Manager offered me only two options: accept the Polo or leave without a solution. They have shown no interest in resolving my issues or providing a fair remedy. When I requested to reject the car and get a refund or a similar replacement, I was told this was not possible because "issues after 30 days" cannot be addressed. This is baffling, as the issues have persisted for over two months.

Financial and Emotional Impact:
During this time, I have paid two months’ worth of finance, road tax, and insurance on a vehicle I cannot safely or comfortably use. The entire experience has been disappointing, stressful, and unacceptable.

Conclusion:
At this point, I have lost all hope that Motorpoint will resolve my issues fairly. I believe I am entitled to a full refund or a suitable replacement vehicle, and I will be seeking further action until justice is served. I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise caution when dealing with Motorpoint, as their customer service and after-sales support are severely lacking.

5 stars to Motorpoint Norwich we picked up our new car from there yesterday.
We spoke to Tom who dealt with us for a couple of days until the new car arrived, we were constantly informed as to how everything was proceeding which was brilliant. We were given the time to look around the car do a full inspection of our own went out on a test drive everything thing was excellent. We liked that there was no pressure car sales talk everything was friendly, comfortable and the coffee is good too. Thank you Tom for making us feel welcome for your professionalism and also treating us like friends it makes all the difference. Although we only got the car yesterday I know when the time comes we will definitely be looking at Motorpoint again this is our 2nd purchase through this company we would highly recommend them.

Absolutely brilliant! Went to Motorpoint Norwich without a clue what we wanted. Was greeted by Dave who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went away to think about the car we had test drove.
We returned today to make a purchase. We were served by Tom who was outstanding. Really friendly and not pushy at all. We left with a car we are really happy with.

My experience of buying a car from this company has been fraught with difficulties - probably because it is a new company. However, they have tried to rectify the problems I have encountered and are always extremely pleasant and eager to help me. They have some great cars on their forecourt.

They gave us a good price for the car. The staff are very helpful and the money was in my bank the next day.
They also found us a car with easier access that we had in exchange. We are very pleased with the service they give. Will certainly use them again.
