I am very disappointed with the return policy of this Xiaomi store. The return rules are extremely strict — once the package is opened, you cannot return the item, even within seven days.
For electronics, this policy makes no sense. Customers need to open and test products to see if they are suitable. There should be a proper inspection service where returned electrical items are checked and accepted if they are still in perfect working condition.
Refusing returns simply because the box is opened is unreasonable and not customer-friendly.
In my experience, it is much safer to buy from Amazon, where returns are straightforward and customer protection is much better.
I do not recommend buying from this store unless you are 100% certain about the product, because once opened, you are stuck with it.

I returned my defected phone over 2 months ago with a very obvious fault. I was told by a phone repair shop that the screen was faulty and needed to be replaced. As the phone has not been replaced nor repaired and I have received no update I have filed a claim through the Small Claims Court in Cork to have the cost of the phone refunded.
