The over priced item arrived with almost no instructions! Am I supposed to wash it after each use? Does it work without the gel? Is it harmful to use without the gel? How do I maintain the item? How could you send such a product with a tiny little instruction note! Very disappointing.

Yes, it's recommended to rinse the mouthpiece under lukewarm water (never hot, as it can affect the silicone) after each use, then wipe it with a soft cloth and a bit of mild soap, avoiding toothpaste since it can scratch the surface, and let it air dry completely before storing. As for the GumRevive Gel, it's completely optional, the device works fine without it and there's no harm in skipping it, though many find it enhances the results. For maintenance, keeping the base unit and charging port dry and storing the device in a clean, dry space are the main things to keep in mind. Also, the full user manual and the charging cable are actually included in the box, they're tucked underneath the plastic tray where the device sits, so they may have been easy to miss at first. I like that the company doesn’t frame this as a reason to stop going to the dentist. That would have made me suspicious. I’m using it alongside normal brushing, flossing and checkups which seems like the sensible way to approach it.

Dont do it
Let me preface this by saying, my unit broke within two weeks but they DID eventually provide a full refund after many calls and emails. That having been said, my overall experience was not great.
Ships from China. Instructions reflect a lack of English comprehension, plus doesn't explain anything at all (in fact it interjects more question than answers if you read the four sentences). For example, it talks about using modes, but there are no modes...Only one 10 minute light cycle. No information on charging, cleaning, or usage is included that may be pertinent.
No charging indicator light. Non standard, magnetic charging connector. I don't think my unit was charging, not sure. A standard charging port would be a real neat idea, or at the very least, include an appropriate power brick.
Purchasing...I received multiple emails to "complete my order before it was too late", but I had already paid. It took a call to the company to know I had successfully ordered the product online. There was no up front confirmation, in fact, they try to sell you something else by throwing a long video in your face after you have already paid..so email confirmation did not arrive because I chose not to sit through their sell video. They charged me anyway. This did not feel good.
Power switch is weird. Sometimes won't turn on (you have to hold the button for some seconds). However, the switch is super sensitive to turning off, and just a gentle random touch anywhere will instantly turn it off. Annoying to put in the mouth when it is constantly trying to turn itself off. There obviously is no product testing going on here.
But does it actually do what they claim for your gums? I would say its probably snake oil, based on the shaky experience I've had....this product looks just like the Amazon "knockoff" products, yet Oralux tells you to stay away from knockoffs.
Gumrevive is also a cheap Chinese made product. So....Which is a knockoff? Do any of them work? So far, after a couple weeks, I have noticed absolutely nothing other than my time wasted fumbling around with a cheap product that stopped working after a couple weeks.
