Called twice got on the call back and NOTHING. finely got though their text chat and nothing that was offered to fix the issue didn't work. This one unit was defective way to many issues. It only wanted to connect via wifi. According to the text chat that's a no Bluetooth only. Would not connect any other way. Before you buy read the 1 star reviews and defiantly go read the return policy that they have. They make it impossible to get your money back. You won't know it's a bad unit until you put it in. But once you do that not refunds. UPDATE: This response is a bold face lying from them. I have the original receipt from Navtool with the tracking number. I so whish that I could put the receipt on here!

I would rate them less if I was able to. First, the customer service LIED to me when they said that there was NO wire cutting needed (You do need to cut some wires to get power). Contacted Customer Service to assist, and received the most condescending tone of a rep that you could ever experience. One year later, the unit still does not function, and I am unable to get my money back. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! THERE ARE MANY BETTER/CHEAPER ALTERNATIVES!

However I had an issue with it where the unit wasn't kicking in by itself when I started the car. Tech support helped me out and turns out I had installed slightly the wrong software on the unit. Navtool is absolutely the worst company to deal with. Their customer support is terrible. I purchased a unit one year ago and was unable to install it. I hired a company with a great reputation and 40 years of experience to install it. Of course they donât give you installation instructions. My trouble started when I tried to do the required download. My car had a manual transmission so when I went to install download only an automatic transmission appeared in drop down menu. I contacted customers service and after 45 minutes on phone they instructed me to download automatic transmission program. Then I left car with installer who contacted Navtool for additional information. Navtool responded by asking for an order number and offered no help because it was an older unit. After 6 hours of fiddling with this they gave up. They told me that they recalled dealing with Navtool several years ago and had the same experience. They chose another company for their Apple ~ Android interface because of Navtool customer support department. They are the worst! I should have known better when I initially purchased the unit it took them 3 months to fill the order!

Navtool customer support is non existent. I have a unit that isn't functioning a Mechanic installer charging me to put the unit in that is not working properly and neither of us is able to get support. I am a disabled veteran and a retired police officer that has never given a negative review.
Unfortunately this is a first, steer clear of any Navtool products. Don't believe me?? Just call the number and see if either sales or tech support will call you back. I promise you this has been going on for over a week with no help.

Providing an update to my prior review of this shady non-ethical company and it's practices.
I reported them to the NY District Attorney for basically robbing me of $500 for a defective CarPlay system of which I have numerous emails where they were asking me to cut wires and try different methods of getting their worthless crap to work.
My report to the District Attorney happened after I posted my initial review and realizing they weren't going to honor their replacement or fix policy.

But I do want to continually warn potential consumers that purchasing from this company is not a good idea b/c they'd be gambling with their money and if they have any issues or general questions or concerns during the installation; it can be a nightmare getting this company to own up to any accountability. The fault will ALWAYS be on the consumer and they rudely convey that.
I'd also strongly encourage anyone considering a purchase to read the negative reviews first. DON'T DISCREDIT the viability of them. Look for similar patterns in the complaints and use your own critical thinking skills.
Not all negative reviews are illegitimate and the negative reviews for this company blatantly show the consistency of the experience.
And if you have already had a bad experience with NavTool, please report it to the Office of the New York State Attorney General. Just google it and go to their complaint form and file it.
They must have multiple complaints filed against this company in order to take the allegations to the next level.
Lastly.... unfortunately as much as I'd like to, I am unable to share any positive experiences with comparable companies, nor provide any alternative vendor recommendations due to TrustPilot policies. But trust me, they're out there.
Where no wire cutting and etc. is required, customer support is responsive and your reports of any potential issues are listened to attentively and acknowledged.
So I did inevitably suggest to find and purchase a CarPlay system elsewhere; where the product is truly plug and play.
And yeah.... there's also that fact for NavTool's unmerited claims and implications towards SO MANY CONSUMERS not being intelligent enough to install their poorly constructed product and/or not reading their sparce constructed manuals with shear lack if not total absence of proper customer support.

It's been almost 90 days since I placed the order and I never received anything. When I complained after 30 days and requested a full refund, I was told everything shipped the day before. Still nothing. Today, their latest response to my complaint that I never received my order, was: "Thatâs impossible. Everything that you would buy from us would be shipped." BUYER BEWARE! Don't buy anything from these guys.

Watch out for these guys. My experience mirrors the other 1 star review I found here. My unit had 3 distinct problems. Customer support was less than helpful, telling me that I was not a professional installer and the problem(s) were not with their unit. Problems: 1) short in the harness. 2) poor reception from microphone 3) distorted audio from only 1 speaker. I sent it back but I had to go thru my CC company to get a refund. Very Sad.

TOTAL SCAM & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have nothing but scam business practices and when you prove their product doesn't work, they say it is impossible and that you don't know what you're doing calling you a liar. I had a reputable installation business install the unit. IT DIDN'T WORK. So we spent the next 2 days and over 10 hours of time trying to get assistance with the install/issues we were experiencing... NOT because NavTool was helpful, but because it would take sometimes HOURS to hear back from them via text which is the only way they will communicate. If you call in, they force you to leave a number or drop the call and have never called back. These guys blame everything and everyone except their product may have an issue. They are bullies, scammers and incredibly difficult to do business with. Not only will I not do business with them, because of the experience the install company had they will now no longer order or accept their products for install.

Thank you for replying, but this is an example of your lack of customer service and bully tactics. Just because you say, "...The fact that there was an image on the screen proves the product was functioning. The issue you experienced was related to audio setup, and we provided step-by-step guidance on how to properly connect it. Unfortunately, the instructions were not followed, and when we asked follow-up questions to verify what had been done..." shows lack of listening, understanding and desire to resolve the issue. ALL instructions were follow by the professional installer and NO there is no sound. When you say in your responses that instructions were not followed, or that, "...Remote support takes cooperation and accurate feedback. Unlike in-person service, we rely on you to perform certain steps while we guide you through them. That requires patience and a willingness to test things in real-time." that mean you must follow the same rules. ADDITIONALLY, when you say, "When customers get frustrated early in the process and stop cooperating, it becomes nearly impossible to resolve the issue." that just proves again your lack of empathy and understanding. I have now spent over 11 hours desperately trying to get this resolved and I only get text message, pushback and bullying. I have left my number for you guys to call over 7 times spanning two days and HAVE YET TO GET A CALL BACK! There was a gap in the middle of the day where you did not reply for 6 hours while I was at the install shop with a tech trying everything you had sent in the way of directions previously. Don't tell me you are looking for a way to work with me you don't call as you promise and place all blame on the customer. Your business sets the customer up for failure and leaving them holding the bag when if doesn't work with no way to get real resolution.

I recommended NavTool to my sister for her 2016 Jeep, and she was thrilled with the results. This gadget provides seamless access to phone apps while driving, enhancing safety and convenience.
Unethical business practices. Arrogant and rude company that treats the consumers like they're ignorant and can't follow simple instructions. This isn't just a personal opinion, it's a proven track record this company has established and is consistent with every complaint you'll ever find anywhere online.
The only customers who'd might rate them more than 1 or 2 stars likely never required much assistance or support from them (of whom I once was). OR they're seeded and deliberately planted reviews by this company in effort to counter the countless negative experiences many have already reported.
I'd strongly advise to READ THE BBB REVIEWS very carefully. If you do and are clever enough, you'll see that some of the potential good reviews are clearly non-authentic.
Such as those for example; raving of what a stellar company NavTool is & if you need support to contact the poster of the review for assistance.
Simply ask yourself, who really does that? Post a positive review and then extend their personal time & support to get a product that they didn't sell working for someone else who posted a negative review??? I think not.

View complaints and you'll note a consistent pattern. View the responses and you'll see the ethics of this company. They are bad news. BE WARNED!! But don't just take my word. Don't rely solely on 5 stars either.

No, I have absolutely NOT once received ANY documentation, other than the one-page wiring diagram (and even that took quite some doing to secure) You keep saying that the installation manual has been sent to me, multiple times. You say that you have sent ââŠthe correct documentation for your specific vehicle, along with additional support resources.â Fine, please advise exactly how and when this was sent. Give dates and times of whatever communication was sent, because I have copies of each and every email (and Live Chat) that I have sent and each and every reply that I have received.
The majority of the replies from NavTool simply either promise that documentation will be sent, or that it has already been sent, but not one single communication actually provides any documentation, other than one email dated 9 Feb 2025, 14:01 GMT, which provided:
1. One hyperlink, sent twice in the same email, which opens a PDF of a one-page wiring diagram.
2. One further hyperlink, also sent twice in this same email, to a video showing operation guide of the settings and menus. This video would be actually helpful in configuring the device once the installation has been complete, but is no help at all in actually completing the installation.
Thatâs it. No other documentation whatsoever has been received either with the product when shipped or via email or chat or any other method since then. None.
So exactly what installation manual do you have for the product you sold to me and why, if such exists, can you not simply now send it to me?

When I inquired about help I was given attitude and treated poorly. The device doesn't do exactly what they said it did when I inquired. Of course it's according to them because I'm not an "expert".
I asked for installation instructions when I made the purchase and I was ignored. They will send you old videos that don't show you everything as "How to" or you can pay them to walk you through it?
They specifically ask you to go through Venmo to cover the disputes you give due to bad products. They even threatened me with their legal department.
