I must express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I received from this solicitor firm, particularly from Neil, who was meant to represent me. His inability to follow basic instructions was not only frustrating but raised serious concerns about his commitment to my case. It became evident that there was an intention to prolong proceedings for financial gain, which ultimately left me in the position of managing my case independently.
Additionally, Katie, his assistant, demonstrated a concerning lack of competence, as she made numerous errors throughout the process.
Initially, I was quoted a fee of £1,000, only to be charged an exorbitant £2,500 by the conclusion of the matter. I would strongly advise against engaging with this firm. Their lack of professionalism and accountability is a considerable concern, and l urge potential clients to tread carefully. They have proven to be entirely inadequate in fulfilling their responsibilities.

If possible I would give a minus score. I dealt with Fiona Pawsey. I found them to be awful, they failed to appreciate the relevant facts in the case and they paid no attention to detail which caused major problems moving forward. Luckily with the help of another firm of solicitors, I was able to prove my case. When I drew their attention to the inadequacies they dismissed my concerns and blamed me for their mistakes. I complained to the financial ombudsman and my complaint was upheld and they have to compensate me. Even then there was no apology for the substandard work or any declaration that they would take steps to improve. Given that they charge like a raging bull it was nothing short of disgraceful.

The company need to introduce a professional approach to the administration side of the business (billing, version control, esigning, data security) as this would remove a lot of the stress caused by dealing with them.

The attention to detail of the people handling the work itself also needs improvement, if a single member of staff is off sick or unavailable this should not result in weeks of delays to relatively simple matters.

Especially when they are dealing with people at difficult times of their lives, it is all the more important to reduce the stress in situations rather than add to it. Then once a complaint is received, a little bit of empathy and warmth would have stopped me feeling strongly enough to write negative reviews, none of this was reflected in the way my concerns were addressed.

In short, there are plenty of solicitors out there to choose from, I would definitely avoid using N&J.

Dishonest and unprofessional. A Director encouraged client to lie and break court orders, and lied repeatedly in court to the Judge with impunity. Director lied to SRA investigating officer after a complaint was made. Written work is beyond shoddy - generally littered with typos and often contains other people's personal data where it has been cut and pasted and not proof read. A disgrace to the legal profession.
