Damaged item and poor customer service
The doll arrived damaged with visible string hanging out and a hole making it unsafe for a baby. When I initially asked for a replacement I was instead offered a discount on a further purchase or a partial refund. It was only when I reminded them of consumer law regarding faulty products that they were willing to send a replacement.

I really love Ollie Ella. The dolls are really well made and hold up well with my rugged little guy. I recently had an issue during checkout where my discount code didn't go through correctly. A member of the customer service team was able to check and resolve the issue within a short time. I also got shipping notification the next day. I have ordered an item in the past that was smaller than I realized, but that was on me for not reading the description well enough. Definitely a repeat customer and collector.

We had two separate orders at the same time cause us to reach out for support. The team at Olli Ella were so kind and made me feel at ease about communicating through the two separate matters in a close timeframe.
First order had a faulty item arrive and the team offered troubleshooting then a full replacement promptly when that didn't work - thank you!
The second order we weren't home to receive so it ended up at our local post office. Hubby went in to pick up as I was day 2 home with our newborn - he came back to the car and the parcel was half open. We checked contents and one of our items were missing, so he went back in to report via Aus Post. A few days later we got the "not our problem" from Aus Post who advised me to reach out to the supplier. Emailed Olli Ella, along with the Aus Post report and reply, and some photos of the packaging - they instantly issued a replacement of the missing item and got it in the post in time to arrive for our little boys 4th birthday - thank you again!
Exceptional customer service that I am extremely grateful for given the sensitive time of birthdays ahead along with a new baby arriving - thanks Olli Ella for your kindness via email comms and prompt response!

Huge drop in quality
Was a huge fan of Olli Ella dolls until this last week.
We had a strawberry dinkum, who unfortunately got lost whilst out and about. Luckily for us - so we thought - we could order a replacement as they were in stock. What arrived was a completely different doll - smaller in size, firmer, different material for the âskinâ and the strawberry onesie. Absolutely gutted as this was my daughterâs favourite doll and the replacement looks and feels like a knock-off from Shein!
This change is clearly recent as we purchased 4 dolls in 2025 all of great quality and now in 2026 it feels like weâve received a poor quality fake.
They need to own up to their mistake of switching manufacturers and/or materials and revert back if they want to maintain their market.

Bland box that is very uninspiring for child to open as a gift. Also, donât bother with a reusable gift bag as itâs tiny and doesnât even fit the doll in when removed from the box. No longer worth it
We have been huge fans of Olli Ella for years! Sadly itâs no longer the case.
We eagerly awaited the restock of their dinkums dolls, after being out of stock for months! Itâs now clear that during this time they underwent a manufacturing change. We received our doll and the quality was awful! A huge thread hanging from its nose, sections of hair with glue, missing and falling out. The newly manufactured dolls have really odd body proportions, with its legs and bum being way bigger and wider. The dolls no longer stand by themselves and the existing Olli Ella clothing range no longer fit (we have built up a collection over the years and is so sad they will be essentially be useless) we have now had 2 replacement dolls and they have all been exactly the same! I have tried discussing these manufacturing issues with Olli Ella and because I purchased through a stockist, they keep telling me to follow it up with them. The stockist has been fantastic to deal with, but obviously she doesnât not know any thing related to the dolls being manufactured. Olli Ella keeps ignoring my questions.
We were once so happy to spend our money collecting these dolls and accessories as the quality and care was always great, however this is no longer the case. Our collection unfortunately now ends here with Olli Ella.

Terrible quality toys
I donât know why there is any hype for these toys other than the fact theyâre cute because the quality is garbage. I have made a few separate orders now from them, one for Fiona fairy which came without wings, another time for a dozy dinkum which came with a hole in the stitching at the back of the neck. Considering these are toys that are designed for children starting from young ages you would think theyâd take better care in ensuring their products are up to standard, some of their items have magnets so considering their poor quality I wouldnât feel comfortable giving these to my children. Also, twice I ordered with express shipping and both times they shipped it standard but charged express which I had to request a refund for the difference. There are so many better brands of toys out there for children, Iâd avoid these
