I honestly think Outback BBQs are some of the best you can buy. Theyâre solid, reliable, and really good quality. Iâve had mine for over four years now and itâs still in great condition, which says a lot.
One thing I really like is how easy it is to find spare parts on their website. Itâs straightforward to use and means you can actually keep your BBQ going instead of binning it. Iâve had BBQs in the past where once parts started to wear out, replacements were impossible to find and you ended up having to replace the whole thing.
Canât fault Outback BBQs at all â Iâd happily recommend them to anyone.
Customer service done right
I am now on my second Outback BBQ. The second one I have to say I was disappointed with and raised my concerns with customer service. Now I am not going to say the team were quick. But what I will say is they did a cracking job. Mark Osbourne who works for them personally spoke with me. Listened. Investigated and resolved the issues.
Given what Mark has done Outback have a lifetime customer from me. Customer service goes a long way, products arent always great and sometimes things go wrong. But as a company Mark made it right so they get my vote
Signature 2 6 burner
Bought a Signature 2 6 burner with additional side gas cylinder cabinet, 2 years on the bbq (which is stored under cover and the additional cover I bought) looks like shit, the stainless steel is rusting, the plastic handle end pieces (which look chrome) are all bubbled and again looking terrible, the whole thing is a very disappointing >£2500 spend. Would not buy from them again unfortunately.

Awful service avoid these people!!
Awful service avoid these people! Bought a bbq at the Malvern garden show. Opened the bbq once delivered part of it was damaged. Then realised that they hadnât even sent me the bbq I purchased. Rude customer service and eventually was told they had run out so was sent a replacement. I am now stuck with a bbq that I didnât want!! ð€¬
Not actually sent the goods
Really poor service. Put on an order in on May 7th. May 12th I was told it was shipped, but DPD still havenât received the items. Nobody at outback barbeques has responded to me. Rubbish

I bought a BBQ from Homebase as they are closing down. When I got home to find parts were missing. I contacted Outback to help me with the missing parts. Every email they responded within 24hrs. They helped me by sending out every part very quickly. I am waiting for winter to pass to use it. Outbacks customer service has been exceptional. Thank you Outback and well done.

Excellent customer service experience
Bought a Jupiter 4 Hybrid on sale from Robert Dyas. Once it had been assembled it turned out one of the burners was faulty. Of course by this point it was assembled, used and the packaging was no use any more. Robert Dyas were not very helpful but in the end refunded me a portion to get it repaired.
Spare part from Outback didn't fit, so I filled in a contact form with trepidation, but long story short: very quick replies (minutes), and over several emails they rummaged around, found a part that would match and sent it for next day delivery free of charge. Fitted this morning and all fine.
I'd maybe deduct one star for the fault in the first place but these things happen, and frankly the customer service was so good it deserves shouting about.
Shocking product, truly appalling customer service
After 2 years the wooden base of my Outback Ranger 3 Burner Hybrid is ready to fall apart. I dare not move the BBQ in and out of the garage for fear it will shake to pieces. Contacted customer services for assistance (to ask how to buy a replacement stand) and they have been belligerent and disinterested from the start. Made it very obvious from our very first email they have zero regard for their customers or their own products. I thought they were supposed to be a good brand, but avoid, avoid, avoid!

I purchased this product sometime ago.
I have just had to change 2 gas burners and the crossfire channels. This is on a BBQ that I would consider not that old compared to BBQs I've had in the past and friends have. This has also spent many years stored away from the winter elements and very well looked after. This is also a 4 burner model and the other 2 burners are functioning well and look in very good condition.
I wanted to give the company the opportunity to respond before writing a review, but even the customer service is poor and you are unable to speak to anyone.
If I was able to speak to someone and understand why this has happened this may well have been a different experience and would simplify the parts ordering. I completely understand this company cannot give lifetime guarantees but customer care needs improving.
Don't use this company.
Another year has passed without the drip tray being stocked. It's an absolute disgrace, but it should be a warning to everyone.

Not a BBQ - a Kit of Parts
I purchased an outback Onyx Omega BBQ from World of power in January when it was in a sale. As I purchased it in January I left it in the garage unopened. As the weather has improved a bit I thought it would be a good opportunity to unpack it. When I opened the box I was shocked to find that I hadnât purchased a BBQ at all. What I had purchased was a box of parts from which I had to build one. I had expected to have to some assembly but not have to completely build it. It reminded me of when I was a young boy making Airfix models! Anyway I set to work and some 4+ hours later I had built my BBQ. The second stage alone took me an hour as two holes had been made oversize and the screws would not tighten so I had to drill alternative holes to complete that stage. Frustratingly when I finally finished the assembly I found that the gas supply hose is too short to be able to connect to my 5kg gas bottle so I have had to buy additional hose.
Iâm sure that putting this bbq together would be beyond the scope of some people and it should be made clear at the time of purchase that full assembly is required. Iâve probably spent more time building it than I will cooking on it. Had I known I was buying a kit I would not have purchased it.
