I really love that Owlcrate always strives to make their customers happy. I love the small business feel that they maintain, even as the business grows and expands. The customizations almost always knock it out of the park and the artists they’ve been working with are phenomenal! I loved receiving my edition of The Ashes and the Starcursed King, the duology is STUNNING. The end paper art in particular is *chefs kiss*

I love Owlcrate! I've been a subscriber off and on for the last few years(due to financial reasons)and they've been great! Every book is beautiful and you can see all thought and care that they put into their editions. The few times I had to contact customer support due to a book being damaged in transit (definitely not their fault) they have been wonderful and super helpful and got a replacement book sent out to me! Out of the several book boxes I've tried I'd recommend OwlCrate over all thr others. They have been just been getting better and better!! I've super excited to see what they have instore for the next years!!

I have been an OwlCrate subscriber since December 2023. There have been a few ups and downs, mainly one book they had a printing issue, they were upfront right away about it and to solve the issue offered anyone willing to wait a $50 gift card, so instead of getting the book in February I got it in June. If you didn’t take the deal you got your book way before. Also once something was messed up with my tracking number, I had a response same day, they are always quick and helpful. Very polite and friendly, really great customer service. I somehow managed on the website to switch my monthly adult book only to the ya book and goodies, again got response quickly and they switched everything back to what it needed to be and were again friendly and helpful. I have not had a single negative interaction with anyone representing OwlCrate.

I absolutely love this book subscription box! I look forward to my box every month. Their customer support is always super helpful and gets back to you quickly. Once, I was so excited to purchase a special edition and completely forgot to use my discount. I emailed customer support and they were super helpful and took the discount off for me. Another time, an item was missing from a kit that I had purchased and they were really nice, got back to me quickly, and shipped out a brand new item. This company is amazing and I’m so glad I found them!

It arrived safely and on time. This was so amazing! Absolutely loved everything about it and I'm going to continue my subscription. Everything is so unique!

I feel like from the beginning when I first started my subscription with OwlCrate (10/11/2023-present), the support team and members have been in every way kind and helpful! I am one that hates to complain because I’ve been a people pleaser most of my life but the support team is truly one of a kind. I will ALWAYS be an OwlCrate supporter and lover if not only but for the pure kindness and respect the team has given to their subscribers. Without hesitation they answer any questions you may have and communicate with you as long as possible so that you understand any situation. They not only help their subscribers and supporters but they care about what they think as well and that it genuinely rare at times when it comes to companies so ill always stand by OwlCrate on that!

I have been ordering owlcrate for over 3 years, it is truly one of the best things when I see that my box is shipping it makes me happy to know that in a couple of days not only will I be getting a book but great items related to books. Any time I have had any issues with product or redeeming points the customer service team is on top of it and resolves my issues right away. Highly recommended owlcrate.

I’ve rarely had cause to contact Owlcrate customer support, because as an organization I’ve found them to be completely transparent when there are any issues. By the time I realize “hey my order should have shown up by now” they’ve either already updated the shipping page, sent a direct message or posted something about it on social media. Actually I’m sure they do all these things around the same time but I only really need to notice it the one time.

Most recently, Owlcrate has had some issues with printer delays and as a subscriber I’ve always felt like I’m being kept informed. I especially respect how the organization and customer support handled issues with the February adult book.

The very rare occasions when I’ve had issues or even just a question I’ve received a prompt, polite and helpful response in a timely fashion. The one time I didn’t was a spam filter issue and you know… it happens.

Owlcrate Support has often been like that cool, knowledgeable older cousin that has like a CAREER while you’re this awkward middle school kid who doesn’t know what’s up. They never make you FEEL uncool, though. They want you to be happy, and I’ve always felt like I’ve been heard and that my feedback has value.

What started as a one time shopping experience in 2020/21 turned into a subscription and then a second subscription and finding a new community.

I firmly believe that in order to get a five star customer service experience that you should try being a five star customer right off the bat. It’s really easy to be one, you just have to remember that you are dealing with a person. Even when you’re frustrated by a situation.

I’ve bought from Owlcrate in the past and their special edition books and gifts are always so pretty and well paired. I also enjoy being a part of their social media community, The Nest. It’s the one place I can truly nerd out about my book obsession with other equally obsessed people.

I absolutely love OwlCrate! And I have since I was a little tween who first started to read YA books!
OwlCrate is quick to respond to their customer service on issues and delays in shipping (for example, when the Raven Boys 10th Anniversary box arrived, I was so excited to use the tote bag but was so sad when the strap broke. But after reaching out to OwlCrate, they quickly responded with ways to help!)!
And also, once they ship things, it arrives so quickly that I can hardly believe it (like what are your guy’s secrets? I promise that I won’t tell 🤐🤫😁)!
They also always give out giveaways from their Insta and on the Nest and are always super inclusive and come up with fun challenges and games (like Words & Whimsy 😉) that always bring book lovers together!
Speaking of the Nest, it is so awesome! I have met friends and chatted with books and it’s always been a fun and safe place to log on. There is no negativity but instead a bond between readers over their favorite books, characters, and a bunch of other things that you can find in the groups!
And OwlCrate’s shop? They always invent ways that make me want to spend money! 😆 They have the most amazing special editions (which are beautiful and signed!) and their boxes are always curated and filled with wonders and magic! Opening up an OwlCrate box is like Christmas as a little kid when you used to believe in Santa! There’s always gasps and sayings of: “how is this real? Am I dreaming?” I love using OwlCrate’s merch out and about! I always get compliments and the knowledge that I am bringing a piece of my favorite books with me wherever I go!
And they always come out with the coolest and most unique subs that are full of books that everyone wants to get their hands on!
As far as negative experiences, there haven't really been any. Sure the shipping being late is a bit of an inconvenience sometimes, but I understand how it must be to run a shop like . OwlCrate is my favorite bookish shop and, trust me, they definitely ship their merch faster than most!
All in all, I love OwlCrate and hope that they continue bringing people together in the Nest and coming out with amazing merch and being amazing people that I’m so happy to follow everyday!!

I had a situation a few months ago where my subscription had renewed before I could update my shipping address. Considering that I was going to be away from home during the delivery window I wanted to ship my box to a friends house so I knew it would be kept safe. I reached out to the customer service team in the afternoon and they were getting back with me later that same night to get everything squared away. They made the process painless and stress free, which is a rare thing to find these days when it comes to buying products of any kind online!

I’ve been subscribed to Owlcrate for over five consecutive years now and I love their boxes so much. I’ve watched the quality of not only their special edition books, but also their items increase bit by bit every year and it has been an absolute joy to see their growth and to experience it for myself. Their special edition books are invariably stunning and only continue to become more so. I’ve personally never had any issues with the books or the items in all of my years of being a subscriber. It is safe to say that I am forever a loyal subscriber and supporter of Owlcrate.

I received a book that had some significant damage under the dust jacket. When I emailed OwlCrate customer support, Amber responded within 2 days and offered to send a new book or get reward points. I was also told to pass on the book to a friend or donate it to my local library so I didn’t have to worry about shipping it back. Every interaction with OwlCrate’s team has been wonderful, as they are supportive and stand by their products! Thank you, Amber!

I have to admit, I'm very confused by the negative reviews here as an Owlcrate customer myself. I've ordered multiple things from them, and received them promptly all the way over in Australia. Quality control has been great - nothing has ever arrived damaged, and as someone who has had contact with customer support, I know that if something did arrive damaged, it would be fixed. I will continue to order from an ethical subscription box that doesn't mix up stock or send you broken books. Thanks Team Owlcrate!

As a monthly subscriber, I’ve been thrilled to get my boxes so consistently! I can almost time exactly when my funds get removed and when that ship date happens, I am assured I’ll get it in less than a week.
What I truly appreciate is how quickly they fixed my address in the system after I moved. I completely forgot to do it myself and they hurried and did it even after my shipping confirmation! Amazing team. They truly want the best for their loyal customers.

Used to get the OwlCrate Jr. boxes when I was younger, and have since then ordered special editions of all kinds. The community is wonderful, and I’m excited for their upcoming releases!!

I have been an OwlCrate subscriber for over half a year now, and I have never been disappointed by them! All of their monthly book picks and items are great. They always customize the books so much, making them beautiful. They redesign the covers somehow even better than the original. The extra edition of ribbon bookmarks is a seemingly little thing that goes such a long way. I also look forward to how they’ll start doing stenciled edges. And the FOIL HARDCOVERS??? I love reading without the dust jacket sometimes to just show off all the foil designs. Everything OwlCrate does is absolute perfection. Last year on Black Friday, I ordered a past box, and it arrived within a few days. During the holiday season, things may take a bit longer to arrive, but the OwlCrate team does their absolute best to get everything out on time. Their service is excellent, and they take care to address customer concerns and questions. They listen to the feedback and strive to make their subscriptions and items tailored to our needs. They recently added new subscriptions as well. OwlCrate has everything I would want in a subscription box, and everyone working for them is so sweet and also quite funny. I would highly recommend anything from OwlCrate.

I have ordered boxes and books only as a non-member for a few years now and joined the membership earlier this year for the quality of products! The books chosen are the type of books I like to read (YA Book + items subscription) and the items are always fun and quality book related items! I love that the books are wrapped in plastic to help minimize damage to them in shipment (an issue I have with a competitor book subscription) and I love that the customizations are getting more beautiful and unique! (These special edition covers you guys!) I'm super happy I have joined this subscription! (Bonus, they have an app with a super fun community as well! You don't need to be a member to join either!)

Owlcrate will always be a book subscription I will recommend till my dying breath. Their customer service is top tier. They really make you feel like you valued and that sometimes feels lacking in other book subscriptions.
They truly care about the customers with a passion that blows me away. I will always be a huge fan of Owlcrate.

They have always come on time and in great condition. And I have truly enjoyed everything that has come in the boxes.
