Great surgery

Medical and administrative queries were answered within six hours. It's a good thing to make sure that enquiries are sufficiently detailed to get a useful response. Far less trouble than a telephone enquiry.

Having recently transferred to the Highlands Surgery, I am very impressed by the service provided. Reception staff are friendly and welcoming. The GP I saw was thorough; he made eye contact rather than facing the PC! He provided me with a good explanation for the condition he feels I am suffering from. He also provided options should the condition fail to improve.

They were very fast and efficient

This is not a moan about Anima but more about getting an appointment. A persistent cough for a week and losing weight over six month period. My appointment is in two weeks and three days time. Last time I saw a doctor five years ago it was the next day for lesser issues !

When my local practice first introduced Anima, I immediately started to use it. Repeat prescription turnaround suddenly seemed to have gained warp-speed engines, with a request in the morning frequently being signed off the same day.
Although speed of issue has slowed a little, this is an inevitability as more and more patients turn to Anima.
Nevertheless, I would imagine that Anima is one of those rare beasties, something introduced that is beneficial to both the practice staff and their patients.

I tried to arrange a follow-up appointment for an ongoing issue but was forced to complete numerous pages relating to my issue when I had done this previously. Why there is no means of just requesting a follow-up, which only needs to ask what existing condition this relates to, is utterly unbelievable. And don't tell me to ring the medical centre because I am greeted with a message telling me that the front desk cannot make any appointments. In a word - AWFUL!
