I was introduced to Paul Robinson through my mortgage adviser in 2022. Since then, Claire Bradly and her team have taken care of all my remortgages, as well as the buying and selling of my home. The level of service I have received has been nothing short of excellent from their clear and consistent communication to their availability and ease of access via phone. I have always felt safe and comfortable asking questions, never made to feel inadequate. Their professionalism and support have made what can often be a stressful process feel manageable and even reassuring.

Consumer Caution – Our Experience

We’ve recently received a “Letter Before Action” from Paul Robinson Solicitors while away on holiday – despite previously being informed that the matter had been closed. An unpleasant surprise, to say the least.

Regrettably, we have now paid £1,000 to Paul Robinson Solicitors under pressure due to an ongoing dispute involving individuals we dealt with during the process: Johnathan Kwing and Lorraine Lancaster.

While we understand that others may have different experiences, our personal dealings have left us disappointed. In our view, communication was poor, and key concerns were not properly addressed, including:
1. As landlords, we were clear from the outset that we did not expect to be charged for the LPE1 form, as the sale was initiated by our long-term tenant.
2. We were advised verbally on several occasions that the tenant’s solicitor would handle the cost. The agreement we were asked to sign suggested otherwise, and we chose not to sign.
3. Our personal information was shared with another solicitor without our consent, which raises potential GDPR concerns.

Despite not signing any formal agreement, we found ourselves liable for costs we explicitly sought to avoid. We received no phone calls to address these concerns directly, and attempts to resolve the matter amicably were unsuccessful.

We cannot recommend this service based on our experience and would advise others to exercise due diligence before engaging.

The solicitor that helped me threw my process was zeen , they were brilliant replied to me soon as I emailed them , excellent communication, would recommend this company to everyone

Missed an important search relating to the plot I was purchasing despite neighbours NO SALE NO FEE solicitors pointing that out, who in turn notified me. The chain fell apart and now I am out pocket thousands of pounds. If this was found and pointed quickly, I was in the cooling period and would not have lost so much money. Also feel bad for the buyers of my house. In the future, I will always go for No Sale, No fees solicitors.

I have been a client of Paul Robinson Solicitors for many years, my most recent being for moving home.
I was introduced to Sophie Griffiths and then Ellie Goodwin, who represented me during the legal process of moving. Both Sophie & Ellie are very professional in their field and made the house move stress free. Their professionalism and communication are second to none. I'm very grateful for their service and will recommend to friends and family going forward.

We have had a terrible experience with Anette and her secretary. to start with, my partner paid £120 for an hour consultation (discounted from £180), when the consultation took place Annette made it clear we hadn't paid for an hour of her time as she charges £255.00 an hour. she was told she is not a client of Annettes until an account with a minimum £300.00 balance is made and the consultation phone call lasted less than 28minutes and was abruptly ended by anette. what's most concerning is Annette told me partner she is on speaker phone but she is alone and nobody else can hear them. my partner heard someone in background towards the end of the call but ignored it.

I called the office and managed to get through to her secretary who was quick to confirm she was party to the phone call. I made it clear we was not happy with the consultation but rather than make a compliant I would like to give Annette the opportunity to clear the air and give her a clearer and more streamlined understanding of our wishes. her secretary repeated spoke over me, told me we was wrong. she even went as far as to push me to make a compliant even though I was very persistent with the fact I want to resolve the issue and move forward with the firm. I have noticed, nearly all of this firms good reviews online are in relation to property law.

even after doing my best to resolve the issue and move forward with their proposed payment schedule and ID Check etc, I was told they do not wish to take me or my partner on as clients and will refund the £120 paid. I was told none of their phone calls are recorded and I should make a compliant through the proper channels.

I reminded Jenny (the secretary) that she represents her firm and both me and my partner have the same opinion (from 2 different conversations with 2 different agents of the firm in different roles) and that is, when they have an unhappy client they're response is "you're wrong, we're right" without even hearing the clients grievance. even when I was told it is my turn to speak (yes, I had to courteously ask to speak without being spoken over and interrupted) I was still interrupted time and time again before being told they do not wish to take us on as clients.

the whole experience was shameful. we chose this firm based on the reviews around how nice, understanding and polite their staff are - this clearly only applies to the department handling property sales and the rest of the company is pushing business out the door by belittling and being rude to customers.

I will await my refund and hopefully other people see this and stay well away from this firm

Amber made the whole experience very easy for me, I am still a novice when buying a property so she was so helpful explaining things to me. I am very pleased with the service and will definitely be using again in the future. Thank you.

Andrew McClintock acted for me on the purchase of my leasehold flat and was outstanding. His communication was fantastic, usually replying to all emails within 10 minutes. He made sure that we completed before the stamp duty increase.

They also charged very reasonable fees. Would definitely use again.

** BEWARNED** The sarga continues. Advised TODAY "LETTER BEFORE ACTION". Received today whilst on holiday having previously received a letter this case was closed. Incredible! If you want this when you on holiday go with this company!!! Terrible!!!

We will NEVER use. We fell Lorraine Lancaster’s negiotiation skills to be Horty. Never dod she once speak to us on the phone about our concerns or book a time to discuss the matter.

We never even signed their contract! There have racked up charges that we explicitly asked not to do from the start. We read their entire contract and did not sign as was advised if other party did not pay we would have to fit the bill. It was not even our flat sale!!

This is the second time I have used Paul Robinson for property matters and I cannot fault them. They were always quick to respond to queries and made it all very clear in simple terms and were always putting me at ease.

They were very efficient and we managed to buy and sell within a tight schedule.

I’ll definitely be using them again.

I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in my case and couldn’t be more thankful.
