My brother passed away from terminal cancer 6 weeks ago . Unfortunately he had no insurance but he had quite a bit of money in his bookies account . Dealing with the bookies was no problem ,and the transferred the money to myself via PayPal. Unfortunately I haven't used PayPal fir ages and the telephone number they had was my old one so I couldn't log on to my account . To cut a long story short j have message and e mailed them half a dozen times updating my telephone number but still no response .my next port of call will be lawyers.

You are not protected under paypal anymore, they not even bother to check the information provide for scam case.
Better use a bank for transaction which protects you from scams. I use PayPal for 15 years but this week I will close my account because it is not safe to use PayPal!!!

I know it's almost impossible to speak to anyone directly at PayPal but I do feel secure using it as a payment form. I've always managed to get help when I've needed it and most recently had incidences where they have resolved the issues and got my refunds due from a dodgy retailer (Debenhams, read their reviews!) really quickly when I was getting nowhere for weeks.

Amazing service. eBay stole my money and closed the case, I was unable to do anything about it. PayPal was my last chance. It took a while, but thanks to them I got my £300 back. I would recommend PayPal to anyone.

Paypal are rubbish. I went onto paypal as I was told it's safe. I ordered from a supplier on paypal. I never got the goods ordered. It's been 3 months and several emails to paypal and supplier. I am still waiting fir my money back. Don't bother with paypal they just don't respond.

PayPay Here App and card reader being shut down on the 3rd April 2023, so now I need to Buy a New Machine, And trust me my payments will not be going via PayPal anymore, What a joke not even a refund for the new card reader I have just purchased, you really are a JOKE PayPal :(

I will tell you not to accept their service because they will freeze your money for no reason after six months when you go to withdraw money you can't contact them in any way they are not available on chat they don't answer when you mail them and you call them on their mobile no service. Nope they have withheld my 1000 GPB

I have used PayPal for many years and on the whole I am very happy with them. My only complaint is that their promise that you can get your money back if something goes wrong is an empty promise. I bought what I thought was a beautiful top from America. It turned out the company was actually in China and I was sent something which was more of a dish rag than a shirt and the colours were wrong. It took me 2 months of sending details and photos about my complaint. Then PayPal asked me for some type of file I had never heard of. Did my best and sent it in Word. PayPal a few weeks later told me I would not be receiving my money back. As a result of this I never use PayPal to buy anything from a company unless I know them very well. Had I bought the garment on a credit card, I would have got my money back immediately.

I own & operate a public hire Taxi in the Glasgow Area. Prior to lockdown i’d had the PayPal card reader for approximately 6 months. I’d had no issues with the funds going straight into my account as soon I carried out the transaction.

I have only recently (9 days) been back at work after an absence of 51 weeks, mainly in part due to lockdowns etc.

Glasgow has been exceptionally busy due to COP26 summit, and i’ve done far and above my usual level of business.

On 3 separate occasions, they have put on hold payments of mine totalling £211, £460 & £221.

The 1st figure was held for 4days
The 2nd amount for 3 days
The 3rd amount has been on hold for 2days and still not released.

Good luck to you trying to contact them with regards the releasing of the funds too. All you get is autogenerated replies, which in no way covers my specific issue.

Currently they say i’ll need to wait 21days for my money!

I’d strongly advise against paypal and look at any other card reading company.

I would give Paypal zero stars if possible.

I am totally disgusted by the services from PayPal. I was paid my salary on the 1st of June because I am working with a US company and I am based in the UK. However, they refuse to release my money. There have never been any fraudulent activity on my account. The money was put on hold without them giving me a reason why. When I contacted them they mentioned that my company had to confirm the payment. My company did - so the money is now in my Paypal account. I then try to withdraw the money - and then I get an alert that limitations have been put on my account and I can't withdraw the money. I then contact them and their final answer is - amongst some other BS, they will do a final review and the limitations will be taken off my account in 3-5 business working days!! So in short - I was paid on the 1st of June but I won't receive MY money (because of PayPal), an amount in the excess of £4K, until the 11th of June!! What nonsense is this and how has this company not been shut down for these appalling way of doing things?

PayPal card reader is absolute crap makes you look a fool in front of customers no connection slow always wanting updating no battery life utter garbage

I've been scammed by PayPal. I processed two refunds on my business account. Before refunding however i contacted the appalling PayPal customer service to ask if the fees for both refunds were going to be returned to me once the refunds were completed. They assured me that in case of refund PayPal will return the fees. This was clearly false as PayPal kept the fees and no further support was provided to me by their customer service. Moral of the story, PayPal customer service lied to me and then kept the money. This is clearly a scam. I don't even know how PayPal is still in business. Square or Stripe are way more reliable payment services.

Used PayPal for many years, very happy with them, I really appreciate it and recommend them with pleasure.

I preferred PayPal services, buyer’s protection is exceptional unlike EBay’s unrealistic apps, full of counterfeit products and Few greedy sellers. Customer service is excellent, Keep it up PayPal won’t trade you for anyone else.

I dont rate paypal at all.The last case I had with them a failure of an online purchase to arrive they failed.They are impossible to talk to COVID excuses.A bot and chat are useless ,cases drag on and they dont respond then finaly they say your case is resolved , we believe the Hermes driver who stole your parcel..Terrible service they block your payments under PENDING.....and threaten you regularly, do this or else.Very difficult to deal with .

Having had a Delivery not recieved at my address and after long communications with Yodel, Ebay and Paypal l feel that that just try to pass the buck. Ebay closed my case as l had been incontact with Paypal after they initially refused a refund. Paypal closed my case as the seller quoted the delivery data saying it was delivered.
Yodel have now supplied me wit a Proof of Non Delivery for Ebay. Ebay say go to PayPal. Paypal says case closed and you cannot access it.
Try getting your money back. PayPals system stinks. You try to send them a request to deal with a closed case. It is impossible. All l want is an email address to send the data so they can review it. Nope, no way l can find a way of doing it. Lets see if you can respond. I have had enough of buck passing. Want someone to take ownership.

Used for a Couple of years simply because it was easy.
Opened shop today and first 3 x Customer’s declined?!?!?(embarrassing all round)
Called PayPal and account and funds have been frozen(no notifications at all)because of a reference a customer has used for a transaction??? Via click and collect.
Merchant account into Business account registered VAT paying Business!!. That you make a nice few quid off every month
Monies frozen for upto 120 days.

They also now own izettle so I’ll avoid that also.
As if we’re re not having a hard enough time on the high street.

I thought the reason we use PayPal is so we have come back on purchases. PayPal are aware that a company who is fraudulent is using PayPal to steal money on people for products they don't receive. PayPal has been informed of this on 100s of occasions but still lets them do it.

Losing money of the credit card

35$ (LKR. 6670.06) has reduced from my paypal account today (03 november 2020) with no reason and also an email of payment has n't recived to my account. I checked my paypal account activity and i could not find any email of payment. I think paypal is fake company.
