Extremely Disappointing Experience

My experience with Pinnacle Ghostwriting was extremely disappointing and very costly. I entered into an agreement for a $2,500 package that promised full ghostwriting, publishing, marketing, website development, and distribution. Based on what was presented, I believed I was investing in a complete system that would help bring my book to life and position it for success. However, over time, I ended up spending close to $10,000 due to continuous additional charges that were never clearly explained upfront.
As the process went on, I began to realize that many of the services outlined in the agreement were either not delivered or fell far below expectations. I never received the promotional materials that were promised, and the social media marketing provided was extremely basic and ineffective nothing close to what I would consider professional marketing. I was also charged an additional $1,000 for ISBN and barcode services, even though that was supposed to be included in the original package. On top of that, I paid another $1,000 for a website that turned out to be very basic and only redirected users to Amazon when they wanted to purchase the book.
To make matters worse, the website was eventually taken down unless I agreed to pay an additional $800 for security, something that was never mentioned in the original agreement. That moment made it clear to me that I did not truly have control over what I had paid for.
In addition to that, my book was never distributed to 70+ platforms as promised. There was no press release sent out to 100+ media outlets, and there was no real bookstore placement. The so called “guarantee” of 3,000 book sales within 12 months never happened. In reality, every sale that I made came from my own personal hustle and effort.
The ghostwriting and editing services also did not meet my expectations. At times, the work felt generic and disconnected from my vision, and it seemed like my story was being altered instead of enhanced. I was also promised 100% of my eBook royalties, which I did not fully receive.
Overall, this experience felt like a continuous cycle of upselling rather than a genuine effort to help me succeed. It seemed like every step forward came with another charge attached to it. In the end, I lost thousands of dollars and received very little in return.
I strongly advise anyone considering this company to carefully review everything and proceed with caution. Honestly, there are better companies out there that will respect your vision, honor their word, and deliver real results without putting you in a financial hole.
Looking back, I feel like I got caught in a system designed to keep charging me until I couldn’t afford it anymore. Their goal never truly felt like delivering results. Despite that, I pushed through on my own. I had my book republished, I’ve had it featured in major book festivals around the world, and every review I’ve earned came from my own hard work. Now, I’m finally being recognized at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books 2026.
That part of the journey came from me not them. There are companies out there that genuinely want to see you win without creating financial hardship, and they stand behind the work they promise. I just wish I had found one of those from the beginning.

What made my experience great was definitely keeping my communication abroad about my financial sources that was needed to proceed with my book, most team members worked accordingly with me and also as a first timer, some explained more details and knowledge on the things I wasn't familiar with, I love how the team comes together by adding and making my book into a reality/vison with my outlines I passed over, rough draft. These people are awful!! Not only were they rude when I decided to go a different route, they have called me over a hundred times. This company is borderline harassing me. I don’t know how many times I have to tell them to stop calling me, but they won’t!! I blocked their number and they call me from different numbers. It’s been over two months and they still call me almost every single day. From this moment forward I’m writing a bad review for every single time they call me. Mad annoying and unprofessional.

I had a great experience! They have excellent communication and can be easily reached via phone call, text or email. They are very responsive and helpful. I encountered a number of events in my personal life which made it difficult to give the company more content to use for my book. They were kind, patient, and understanding.

From the start I told them I had very little money to invest at any one time.
They discounted the book...
He sent me a payment link to pay for the book...I asked why and he told me they just collected the money for them.
1st outline for the book was crazy... Confusing. It was like they didn't listen to a thing I had said...
The ppl I spoke with on the phone acted like they really cared...I thought they did.
In short order money pressure was upon me!

Website...$ 2500 to $1500 to $750

Pushed me to pay more on website so they could start working on it...but...
They still couldn't get outline right. It was really bad..I couldn't understand it.
The project manager vanished for weeks
It became clear that my book wasn't a priority...
So I asked for a refund.
He returned, apologized & promised to dig in.. But he didn't... So I again asked for the refund...
That has been the most unpleasant part of this...
The woman claimed she processed it, even gave me what she said was receipts but she did not, and will not, provide me with bank name and address.
She even insisted that the vendors processed the refund the same time she did. she accused my bank of withholding the money from me. My bank has no record of any refund nor attempt... I paid with a card, so the money will come back directly to my card, not through the banking system.
Because I paid them through the 3 "payment links" they provided the money must come back through them, it hasn't.
I sent multiple emails and voice messages to both vendors but they have not replied.
The woman who claimed my bank had my money demanded a 3 way call with my bank.. But my bank will not participate in 3 way calls even to just acknowledge they didn't get the refund.
Shortly after that happened, the woman accused me of lying. She accused me of having received the refund but claiming I didn't.. Saying she thinks that's why my bank wouldn't confirm they never got the money..my integrity is important to me so to have it attacked did not sit well.
This began in Nov and I have done all I can to get my $550 back.
I have no book, no refund, no replies from the vendors.
So will I recommend Pinnacle Ghostwriting, absolutely not...I will say you need to Run!!!
I suggest to be sincere & honest with clients. Warm clients of all those costs, I had no idea I needed all of them ,. Don't sand bag ppl, work with them gently.
Treat ppl like they matter whether they can come up with these large suns of money.
If you're going to use these 3rd party vendors for payments, you might want to work with them to ensure ppl get their refund..
As it is now I would strongly encourage ppl to use someone else.. I have many questions & am concerned about the way Pinnacle Ghostwriting conducts business and treats clients.
This woman has been hostile, adversarial, accusing me of lying.. her refusal to tell me the name of the bank and location is really concerning.. I cannot understand why she isn't truly trying to help me... No, I would not recommend them
