They jwent way past the average tech support, stayed connected on the phone, chat and email at the same time!! And remained so until my issue was completed and waited to make sure it was going to remained working as I wished.

I purchased a 3-year license specifically because I needed a dedicated IP in Brazil. Before purchasing, I contacted support to confirm this feature was included and stable. I was assured it was, so I bought the license based on that guarantee.

Recently, the Brazil service stopped working for months. Since I could not work, I was forced to subscribe to a competitor’s VPN. When I contacted PrivateVPN for a pro-rated refund of the unused time, the nightmare began:

- Bait and Switch: They now claim that the Dedicated IP I specifically asked for is actually just a "free extra feature" and "availability is not guaranteed." This directly contradicts what their sales support told me before I paid. They changed the product definition to avoid liability.

- Refusal to Refund: They admitted the server was down but refused a refund. First, they hid behind Terms of Service. Then, when pressed, they claimed they "can't" refund because the PayPal transaction is too old (over 180 days). I asked for a manual transfer (which any business can do), but they ignored it.

- Useless Compensation: Instead of returning my money for the service they failed to deliver, they offered "1 free year" added to my account. Offering more time on a broken service that I can no longer trust is insulting.

Bottom line: They will promise you features to get your money, fail to deliver them, and then use technical excuses to keep your cash. I am left with a useless subscription and no refund. Avoid at all costs.
