I found the experience reasonably easy to fill out the form and the security procedure was good

Clear and straightforward information. The Online portal is easy to navigate.
I would have given 5 stars but my only niggle is that on a recent drawdown the portal gave no information when funds would be released. The request for feedback on the service arrived the day before the funds suddenly appeared.
Other than that, I am a satisfied client

It's not always easy to choose the right company when you've made a large financial decision such as equity release.

Super service - fast, professional and transparent

The application process on the portal was very easy and the pack arrived quickly.
Once the paperwork had been returned the funds were in place within 4/5 days.
My only comment would be that if the application goes to a panel of lenders is the offer sent to me the best one for me or the one that gives Pure the most commission ? We dont know as we only receive the details of one offer.
I ask this because there have been a couple of Bank of England Interest rate drops in the last few months but the offer rate on this drawdown was the highest one yet.
Anyway, great service fornboth ease of request and acceptance, jist the question on the interest rate

Very helpful and the funds came through very quick

I am writing this on behalf of my Father in Law.

Please take the time to read this.

Earlier this year my Father in law's wife passed away. 18 years ago they remortgaged with pure retirement I am not sure of the exact amount they released approx 30 to 40 thousand. The amount owed is now 140 thousand. Now while this I feel is criminal this isn't the worst part as I don't care for inheritance what I do care for is the health and wellbeing of my 83 year old Father in law who suffers with his health.
The property he is in now is not suitable and actually a danger to him due to it's layout. He decided he wanted to move to a flat so he could live out his years safely and in comfort.
Pure life and Enact there solicitors put so many caviats on porting the mortgage to a new property, but we found perfect property found and the sale was going through very slowly approximately 7 months and a week ago
We received an exchange date. As my Father in law had a large house we had to get a clearance company in to empty his house. Which was incredibly stressful for my Father in Law. The Move was booked removals etc he was all packed up in boxes etc. The move was planned for Wednesday when I find out today, the Friday before that Enact Pure retirements solicitors have now an issue and the sale is going to collapse.
The date is 12th December is almost Christmas. My Father in Law is broken, we are as family so upset for him. His worldly possessions have now gone in the clearance and he is living in a shell of a home at Christmas absolutely devastated.
Reading other reviews it does we are not alone in this experience of Enact, doing this.
This is quite honestly the most disgusting thing I have witnessed from a company.
Now I know I will get the standard reply to this review.... About law/paperwork etc
But these people are heartless no consideration for the Human element at all.

Ask yourself one question before using these companies. Do you think anyone employed by Pure retirement would advise there own parents to take equity release? Then you have your answer...

The people at Pure Retirement were polite, friendly and gave information in a clear and timely manner. I was kept informed at every stage and was surprised at the speed it took from start to finish.
