I had the same experience as other reviewers. I ordered two pairs of glasses back in December and I never received them, itâs almost February. I contacted them to find out updated information. They sent me an email in response to say there were some unspecified issues. They then asked me if I still wanted them. I said yes please send them. A new email arrived that said that one of the pairs I ordered wasnât available and they are sending the other. The second pair, were a cheap and a bit lame pair on sale. I ordered because they cost what shipping would have. So they are sending the ones I couldnât care less about.
Bad Customer Service
I ordered glasses around December 26th. I received no confirmation of order or anything else. You received your money. I finally got in contact with customer service and was told the glasses were no longer in stock. I get 2-4 emails daily from you and you couldn't email and give me a chance to order something else or refund my money, Is this how you operate your company? I have ordered before and had no problems. I finally spoke with someone and money will be refunded. You should have offered me a chance to order something else at a discount or something. I see you don't value your customers.

I have been buying glasses from this company for years, and have never had any problems. Until my last order. I ordered a gold frame and received silver. I don't wear silver, so sent an email asking how to have them replaced. No answer. Three emails later.. still no answer!! Needless to say they have lost a customer, and I've stopped referring others.

Hinge broke within 3 months. However, I didn't call them until 2 weeks later. Would not send another pair. Better to buy at Walmart or TJ Maxx where they always will take an item back.

My husband ordered 3 pairs in March of 2023. They never arrived, but we were charged on our credit card. Husband emailed and was told that the package arrived at our Post Office, but when I look up the tracking code (in July) it looks as though the package was never mailed. Additional emails to the company have received no replies. Out over $60!

I reached out to the company multiple times via email...no response.
Subsequently, I commented on one of its Facebook posts.
Eventually the company responded to my negative comment.
That didn't go well.
The representative(s) who replied to my comment and who subsequently direct messaged with me didn't appear to have either read or comprehended my concerns and complaints (even though I had included screenshots of my email to them, the advertised code, the code not working on their website, and the item in the shopping cart on their site).
They also didn't acknowledge or take ownership of any customer service failures.
Basically they were tone deaf.
That experience was mirrored in the subsequent emails I received.
Over all, a frustrating and off-putting experience.
How can you purchase a product from a company that can't provide even a minimal level of customer service - that lacks basic communication skills and can't read the room?

I ordered a pair of readers. When they arrived the lens covering was cut too short for the frame. They are terrible quality. I would never buy from them again. What a waste of $28. I could go to the dollar store and get better ones.

Bought two pair and after a few months nose pads fall off and get lost. No replacement parts available and no warranty after 90 days. Cheaply made. Falls apart within a few months. Poor customer service!
Happy with 4 lots of glasses purchased over 3 years
I have purchased 4 lots of glasses from Readers.com (16 in total) and been happy with all of them. +2.0 clear, +1.5 sun glasses for distance, +3.0 Blue light for reading and another +3.0 blue light. One pair broke when I sat on it, several became scratched and I lost some. I check each pair of glasses for strength and distortion. Strength: I use a small LED flashlight a fixed distance from the glasses and adjust the distance to the wall to form a spot on the wall. The higher the strength, shorter distance to the wall. Distortion: Look at reflection of overhead fluorescent tube. It should be straight when reflection moves across the glass and along the glass. (Rotate the glasses). All pairs of glasses have been excellent. The last lot I purchased, I gave the wrong address and they were RTS. They replaced the glasses and sent them express mail, without ant extra charges. I do not work for Readers.com. I am surprised to see so many negative comments.

Many styles/colors were sold out on the website but I did finally find a couple that were in stock. Ordered 2 pair. After a month with no communication from them I got an email that they were both out of stock and they were refunding my order. Not sure why it took a month to figure that out.

Awesome company. I love that they have narrow frames so glasses don't fall off your face when you bend over. Also they are determined to make you happy, replacing anything you don't like and not requiring you to send back the ones you don't like.
Refund less than what was paid
Bought two pairs of glasses each $19.95. After 10 days received a refund of $15.00 for one pair that was no longer in stock. Over the past 2-3 years, the service has declined substantially. The glasses are inexpensive and generally do not last but that never bothered me as these were the glasses that I kept throughout the house for when I needed reading help.

The usual. Love the sunglasses. The shape, the frame color, lens color, fit. Easy to get simple bifocals for reading. They arrive fast either from the company or through Amazon. The frames break within a month or so. I treat them with kid gloves. This time I put them on my bureau after wearing them. Tried them on twice but decided on a different pair for the day. After about 3 days I picked them up to try on and frame at the top of lens was cracked and jobs fell out. That makes pair number 5 in 18 months. It also marks the end of my journey with Readers.com. if other quality sunglasses companies made it easy to buy their glasses with 2.5 bifocals for reading, no presciption, I would havevnever bought the 3rd pair.

It was under $50 for 4 pairs of glasses mailed out, with a strength I can't find ANYWHERE.
After, I realized I should've checked reviews, and boy was I scared!! So many negative things were being said. I was going to cancel my order, but was told to just wait it out.

Ordered there 2 other times a few years ago. First order sent wrong glasses but after complaint, sent right one. Second order received right glasses. This time, ordered 3 pairs. One was on sale $9.00, second full price $17.95 and third pair on sale $10.00. Only sent 2 pair, the one full price and then charged me $17.95 for the $9.00 pair. No one answers phone and no live chat until 12:00 EST. Poor service and total rip off this time.
Quality
The last two pair of readers I purchased broke; one pair cracked at the frame and the second pair the screw kept coming out. I also ordered bifocal readers, and the bifocal part was not wide enough nor high. For what they charge, sale or not, their product is garbage.
