Heather A provider an excellent course with good use of practical and theoretical knowledge, offset with some personal (sometimes funny) experience.

The first aid training I completed through the Red Cross was brilliant. The Trainer was lovely, she kept the pace of both theory and practical exercises to a speed that kept you engaged. The venue was very nice as well.

Amazing First Aid Training - all knowledge I need to be a great First Aid.

I recently attended a first aid training course, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Although this wasn't my first time attending a first aid training. The session was informative and delivered in a way that the topics are easy to understand.
The trainers did an outstanding job of balancing theory with Practical scenarios. We were given plenty of time to practice CPR, bandaging, recovery positions and emergency assessments.
I would recommend this training if you are looking at building confidence to respond to real emergency.

This was a very engaging and informative first aid course.

Fantastic trainer, equipment all laid out and prepared. Engaging conversations and no question was too silly. Felt empowered to make a difference should it come to it and has got me thinking of taking the FREC Level 3.

The instructor came across in a very professional manner with a good degree of humour, and very knowledgeable.
The First Aid bbok was a bonus, even though I had my own, some people wouldn't have this in their bag!
Personally, Sepsis should have been part of the course, why isn't it???
Although the instructor was excellent, I have to say the venue left a lot to be desired.
Parking was easy, but the room itself was too cold, unless you consider a temperature below 17 degrees normal, the heaters were not operating on several units.
The staff should have supplied hot water when required, but during the three days, it seemed to be supplied on an ad hoc basis.
Coupled with an alarm going off during the whole three day course didn't make for a decent learning experience.
Suffice to say that I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone wishing to partake in any British Red Cross training course, as the venue is certainly sub standard. For a small percentage increase in course costs I could have gone to St John Ambulance. In fact their Dorchester location was where I first became qualified nearly three years ago, so I can compare the quality of location. Exeter Racecourse was certainly sub standard.
It is regrettable that this review may not progress to those who make the decisions, and indeed pay Exeter Racecourse for the hire of their facilities, but I live in hope that someone may pick up the phone, and action be taken in order that the next course candidates will fair better than myself, and others that were present.

I have been taking my 1st Aid at Work or the refreshers since 1983 and this was the most enjoyable & informative 3 days, excellently delivered by an ex-science teacher, who obviously loves teaching. Anecdotes and experiences that made the 3 days memorable and laid bare easy methods to remember all the bits that we need to remember and use in the heat of the moment when being the 1st person there! Thank you! :)

Optimum group size (10-14), great experienced instructors, good bunch of participants.

Emergency First Aid at Work was delivered really well. The instructor covered all topics really well. I found the course really informative. I would highly recommend.
