An excellent company to work with! Very good communication throughout, each stage was discussed thoroughly with great attention to detail, even things we hadn't thought of. The project team tradesmen always arrived promptly at the scheduled time, kept us informed with what they were doing and made many useful suggestions which helped us to make better choices. They were all fast, efficient and very hard-working and delivered a high quality result. We're delighted with the result and would certainly use this company again for any future projects, and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

We had an initial consultation with Craig from Refresh Renovations regarding our loft conversion at our property in Richmond and were very impressed. He was extremely professional, clearly very knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions with confidence and clarity. We found the discussion really helpful and are looking forward to moving on to the next phase of the project with Refresh.

As an Interior Designer who often works alongside Jon at Refresh Renovations, I am always blown away by how much time he gives to the client, ensuring he understands their brief and going that extra mile to deliver to their expectations and giving them all the information they need to make informed decisions on their property renovation journey. His attention to detail, guidance and support is first class.

Simon leads an efficient and proactive team. His team conducted a multi-month garage conversion which was fantastic. They were adaptable to changes in scope and the budget fluctuations were minimal. Comms on changes in budget, options and timings were clear and timely - a no-stress operation. Excellent!

We recently had a consultation with the Refresh team about a small conservatory project. They were really helpful and honest in particular Ziyaad. There was no pressure to proceed and gave us a lot to think about.

I had a good meeting with Karen, she was extremely professional and understood what we wanted to achieve. She made us realise our budget was tight and we may need to achieve our approach, but also not to give up and look at things differently.

I used their services and loved the helpfulness that they provided, especially Ziyaad who was super professional and went out his way. Would recommend and would use again.

I understand Refresh have several managers working for them. We worked with Oybek and I would recommend him to anyone. Honesty, attention to detail, good communication throughout the project and good workmanship- traits hard to find these days in tradesmen, especially in construction. Of course a complicated project like renovation will have changes along the way, but it's how they're dealt with and the options you're given that matter. Oybek managed all complications and changes of our project efficiently without any unpleasant surprises. We were given sound advice and options where possible. His team is great and know their work. I've been unlucky to deal with bad tradesmen before. What a relief it has been to hire someone who do what they say without fuss.

Karen and her team did an amazing job on a kitchen reconfiguration on a tired dated property we have recently purchased. We now have a modern kitchen which we love.
Communication was great and the team explained everything along the way.

We recently used this renovation company and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first consultation, Ziyaad and Ali were professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive to our ideas. They took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and that really improved the final outcome. Communication from Ziyaad was excellent throughout, we were kept updated at every stage, and any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly. I can’t recommend this team enough. The design process was easy and exciting, and they really brought our vision to life. The construction phase was just as smooth, with minimal disruption and excellent workmanship. S Ali was amazing he kept us informed, answered all our questions, and made sure everything stayed on track. The end result is a beautiful, high-quality kitchen we love.

if i could give a zero I would... just to clarify I am a genuine customer, and not a bot. I was never asked by them to provide a review as they knew it would be negative. After talking the talk and promising the earth on our garage conversion, we are now left with a wall that is already crumbling away (less than 3 months after completion), no lintel, no damproof course and a soaking wet wall as the wall does not have the correct foundation.
We let them know about the cracking mortar and we were blamed as we leant on our wall and were told that was part of the reason it moved. Roger said as the wall was not load bearing it did not matter it moved. I'm no expert but when I pointed out my other garden walls don't move he said .. that's different... In other words he had no idea and had no intention of fixing the issue.
Following further investigation from a structural engineer and building regs we had a number of issues. All of which were sent to Roger and Tracey, 8 weeks later the reply was they did nothing wrong and weren't going to put anything right. So we followed their contract and spoke to Alex in head office who was very offhand and said if we don't like the reply then contact property redress solutions (as per the contract). Which we did and they have told PRS they have gone into liquidation. They are however, still active on companies house and still live on the refresh website taking enquiries.
Roger and Tracey are awful people with no morals, took no responsibility for the rubbish workmanship despite they contracting them and blamed us at when things went wrong.
The head office were just as bad and wanted no part in any complaint.

We came across the Refresh Renovations brand at the Grand Designs show in London in 2025. Early impressions were favourable and reinforced when we met up with the very credible local Franchisee and started to plan the long-awaited upgrades to our home.

Unfortunately, after parting with over £5,000 to proceed with the Detailed Design and Costings phase and a number of meetings with the Franchisee, Architect and Project Manager, the Franchisee has (out of the blue) gone into liquidation. We have nothing to show for this investment as it turns out neither of the two suppliers has been paid either, so we’ll need to find a further substantial sum if we are to salvage anything from the wreckage of our Refresh experience.

But what’s been even harder to swallow is discovering that the main Refresh brand (on the basis of whose reputation and marketing we went ahead in the first place) has no appetite to help us at all. No proactive support, no accountability, not even a gesture of goodwill. Just a shrug and a message that it’s “not their problem”, before retreating back into the safety (for Refresh) of the franchise business model.

I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone else to go through the same experience. If you’re considering using a franchise‑based home renovation business, please double‑check the legal structure and what protections you actually have? Don’t assume that an apparently strong brand will stand by you when things go wrong. And please, please do all of this before handing over any money.

We signed a contract with the company for consulting, procurement, construction, and interior design/execution for my house (in York, in 2022). Honestly, this is the worst company we have ever mistakenly placed our trust in.
The construction was delayed by more than two months beyond the committed deadline. The reasons the company gave were unconvincing. I suspect they were short-staffed because they reassigned workers to another project.
We paid a great deal of money in the hope of receiving a complete home design package, with furniture selected, recommended, and fully installed by the company so that we could simply move in with our suitcases. In reality, we were the ones who had to do all of that ourselves. We waited in vain for our new home while the lease on our old place expired, and we had to rent temporary accommodation because the company failed to hand over the house on time.
Even now, after they damaged and left the loft in a mess, they promised to come back and clean it up, but three years have passed and no one has shown up.
A complete lack of responsibility and constant buck-passing. The person we dealt with directly and paid was Sophia. You and the company were only concerned with urging me to make payments on time, while showing no concern for the construction progress or how the workers were performing. Even at the final inspection before collecting the last payment, no one could be bothered to show up.
We are extremely disappointed. We have had to live in a house we once had such high hopes for, but in reality it has brought us nothing but frustration and disappointment over the past three years.

Communication was great regarding timings and all the work needed. Each step of the process was explained well and work was carried out efficiently and to a very high standard.

I would highly recommend them!

Sadly for us not long after beginning the feasibility stage the franchisee went into liquidation. Consequently we are £2000 down with nothing to show for it. The parent company is not interested and the liquidation firm is unresponsive, so we’ve little hope of getting anything refunded. Choosing Refresh was an expensive mistake for us. Please do better research than we did on the particular franchise partner you are considering working with and do not rely at all on the overall reviews for the parent company.

I had no idea who to contact or where to begin with the work I wanted done to my sitting room. I submitted a request on the website and Jon called me the next day and came out to visit. I gave him my list of what I wanted and somehow he made it happen and it is perfect! He sorted out a couple of glitches with ease and I am really happy with everything. I’ve already recommended him to a friend and would definitely recommend to anyone else wanting to do any work to their home! Fantastic job and would definitely use again!
