We were looking to add an outbuilding to our rear garden to allow for a home office, extra lounging space and an en-suite and had no clue where to start. Upon researching local service providers, we found and reached out to Refresh Renovations in South West London as they were quite local and offered a complimentary initial consultation. Sam came out to visit us at the property, listened attentively to our needs and requirements, and knowledgeably laid out the roadmap our project would need to take covering design, planning & consents, documentation and costings to be well positioned when the time comes for the build. Based on our experience, I can confidently say that we are now much better equipped to make an informed decision on the way forward. I highly recommend Sam & the team for anyone at a very early stage who could do with some guidance!!

Choosing Refresh was the worst decision.

I am so disappointed with the Refresh process. At the beginning, we felt it was lots of promises and seemed to be customer focused. As soon as they have the money, things quickly changed. The quality of work completed has been poor. The communication has been shocking. The project has been badly managed. There have been too many mistakes. It has taken over a year (additional to the projected 6 months) to get near to complete. The list could go on and on. I would not recommend Refresh and urge anyone looking to renovate to stay well away!

Karen and her team did an amazing job with our bathroom refit. This was redesigned to remove a bath we no longer needed and put in a walk in shower. The bathroom looks really good and the team worked round our needs. Thank you so much

He took the time to understand my vision and offered helpful suggestions. What impressed me the most was his commitment to keeping me informed every step of the way. I felt confident and any questions I had were answered promptly.

I’m really glad to have found Refresh Renovations in Glasgow and grateful to Marcus and Luay for their hard work in resolving quite a number of issues with the electrics at my flat over the last few days.
I could not have asked for better, more responsive service from Marcus who oversaw the project and frequently came by to check in.
Luay is a sharp and energetic electrician, and he managed to resolve what had appeared to be an intractable issue with the old circuitry in the dining room without the need for excavation, for which I’m very grateful!

We want to thank Refresh Renovations UK for their excellence in completing our bathroom/toilet make over. The project was challenging as the house was very old (an ex-mayor’s residence) – There were a number of problems presented by the characteristics, construction and quirky shape of the bathroom of this old house. Ali’s attention to detail in the designing, his solution-driven approach together with the excellent way he was supported by the project manager (DeSolt) and Amit (NorthWest Contractor) was highly commendable. When we came up against a few challenges the team responded with sensitivity to our concerns and requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. The standard of work is highly commendable. Overall, we are delighted with Refresh Renovations experience and we can offer no higher endorsement that the fact we will consider the team to other renovation projects.

We had a very good experience with Refresh Renovations and their team. It was a small project however unexpected issues identified during this project were dealt with professionally and promptly. Great experience using Refresh to install a shower unit in our downstairs toilet. Marcus Knox managed the project, keeping in touch as the work progressed. The workmen were efficient and very tidy. We are delighted with job, which we found reasonably priced. An added bonus was the bottle of champagne which Marcus gave to us in appreciation for choosing Refresh . We would definitely recommend this company and will be using them again for our next project, a garage conversion.

Reasonable and prompt quote. Work done on time by very helpful and competent tradesmen who cleared up after themselves each day . Happy with finished ensuite .

Highly recommend these guys. I’ve just purchased a property and have too many ideas and not enough money for them all right now. Mohammed walked me through each step, came up with suggestions that complimented by plans but in a more efficient way. He was very thorough, detail oriented and looking at some sample project plans- I was impressed. Overall, you’re in good hands and it may feel like your local builder is cheaper, but these guys will make sure your build is done right and lasts.

We were very uncertain about how to proceed with our project of renovating a poorly used space into a Utility Room and walk-in Shower Room. I saw examples of Refresh Renovations work on Houzz, was impressed, and contacted Simon Kelliher.
We felt we had received sensible advice and decided to proceed; from then on the project was managed very well by designated Project Managers providing creative solutions, when needed, along the way.
All the attending tradespersons were excellent. Their work was of a high standard and solution drive. All were polite and helpful.
We have been very pleased with the completed project and it has been much admired by friends and family.

We had a really good experience with Simon and his team. The project was a small extension to our house to add a utility room, and we started off with just a rough idea of what we wanted. We particularly appreciated that there wasn’t a huge amount of admin for us to do, because everything was managed on our behalf, including planning permission. The whole time we felt like the project was managed correctly, and if things didn’t go as planned, we were immediately informed and kept in the process to find a solution that would be suitable. My experience with this company has been excellent throughout. From first meeting Marcus, who talked me through the renovations, when the work could be started and finished and kept in touch regularly to ensure that I was happy with each stage. Would not hesitate to have them back for any future work, or to recommend them to potential customers.

Ali from Refresh Renovations worked with us on preparing a Concept and Feasibility report, as well as Designs for our renovation project. Ali was very pleasant and professional, and clearly knowledgeable in his field. He pulled a good team together to help us think through the best use of our space, expanding our thought process regarding what was possible, while being respectful of our preferred timelines and budgetary indications. We now have a clearer idea of what we want, what’s possible with our space, what it’ll take to get there when we want to kick off our build phase. It’s much better - and more ambitious - than our original plans, and we are grateful for the insights from Ali and his team. We recommend him without reservation, and fully intend on using Ali and Refresh when we move on to the next phase… the build!

Everything was perfect. Refresh provided they started work on time and they have communicated with us on time till our project finished without any delay. Boris team has told us the completion date and they finished the project exactly on same date. Thank you guys!!

Poor aftercare

Although happy with most of the work on a major refurbishment, some of the finishing and all of the follow through has been very poor. We have had to chase for months for a proof of purchase to get a guarantee on an expensive bath that failed. We now have a problem with lead flashings on a new roof they installed and have chased for weeks through local franchise team (Surrey) and national office with no response. In the meantime further damage is likely to result. This is not the expectations set by the company or in line with their contract.

I spend around 1k on the concept & feasibility contract which is basically them telling you they’re going to pick, design and do everything while you sit back and relax, WRONG! we spend 4 and a half months on pointless video meetings almost every week with them telling us they’re looking for contractors/ price, each and every time they had no clue what we wanted for our bathroom even though we described it to them in every meeting, it became a chore as I had to look for things I wanted, so what was the point paying them?? turns out they buy their stuff from Victoria plum which is very cheap rather than traders and tried to charge us much more, obviously ridiculous with their clever sales person waffling about cost of living prices etc

They tried to charge us 6.5k for labour for a small bathroom lmao! And that’s after spending 1k with them, each month the costs of the bathroom was increasing by 1k, We started of telling them our budget was 3.5k and this was before paying the concept and feasibility price and they told us yes it’s possible etc, once they got our money they really tried ripping us of each month by offering us cheap looking bathrooms, THEN only THEN he tried to charge us for the skip which was an extra £200!!!.

We had enough and said we wasn’t paying almost 9k in total for a very ugly cheap bathroom from Victoria plum and the guy really had the nerve to get annoyed at me after doing nothing for 4 and a half months and said contact the builder yourself, turns out the builder was a young lad, very inexperienced and quoted us 3k for labour. So where did the 6.5k labour come from??

Please avoid, they’re liars and I was down a grand and they haven’t done anything in that 4 and a half month.

Also they don’t have any regular builders they work with, I found out it was all a lie, once they have a client they simply put an advert out on your regular builders website and work with ANY builder they find without background checks. They really tried to mug me off by looking for any cheap builders and under paying him and overcharging us. AVOID!!!!!

Very happy. Marcus applied new sealant around my shower. He responded quickly to my request for quote and appointment made with no delay.
Work completed and all tidy .
Marcus is also providing a quote for decorating within my home and some exterior work
